“Maryola was on time, great communication, and fantastic with Meiji. She was very patient as he warmed up to her. She took him for his routine walk then interacted with him playing chase with tennis ball launcher. She really was tremendous and I highly recommend her. It's clear experience with her own pets and her working with them at doggy daycare developed skills to care for pets well!!”

“Our original housesitting plans fell through at the last minute and we were leaving for the airport in a couple hours. Tiffiny was quick to respond and come meet our puppy. She was very flexible and took excellent care of our pup and our house, greatly relieving our stress and anxiety. Levi loved playing with Tiffiny and her daughter! We highly recommend her and will definitely use her services again.”

“Michelle looked after my 15-year-old cat and 10-year-old (but still energetic) lab mix for a 10 day vacation. Both of the pets warmed up to her right away, making me feel comfortable choosing her to stay in my home and look after my pets. Michelle sent regular updates and pictures while I was gone and left my home spotless and my pets happy. I would highly recommend her pet care services.”

About: I've been surrounded by animals from before I was born. I grew up on a farm on Kauai, Hawaii. I worked as a veterinary assistant for nearly 10 years, volunteered with Guide Dogs for the Blind as a foster home, and I am always helping my friends and family with pet sitting and minor grooming(nail trims and baths). I'm starting this as a part-time job because it fits my schedule. I'm usually available for dog walking Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:30am and 3:30pm. I am currently petless. Our beloved kitty(15 years old) passed last year and our family is not ready for another pet at the moment. I am happy to come to your house to take your dog for a walk in a neighborhood they are comfortable with, I often walk at Powell Butte, around my own neighborhood, and Salish ponds in Gresham. I'm happy to discuss other walks with you and anything else you'd like to know.

“Penny’s attentive house-sitting made our dog and two cats happy and relaxed while we were out of town. She sends cute pet photos, is a good communicator, and is a great person. Highly recommended!”

“Michelle was fantastic! She was very through with our dogs and made sure everyone was getting what they needed! Sent lots of pictures and even cleaned our house and outdoor area! She even looked after our goats and did a terrific job. It was so nice to not have to worry about our babies we were able to relax knowing they were in good hands”

“She was great! Apollo warmed up to her right away and she sent lots of photos and videos which was wonderful! I greatly appreciate her taking such good care of him!”

“Aislynn was so wonderful. This is our second setter through Rover and have had nothing but great experiences. It was great knowing Millie and Oliver was in safe hands during our day. I would for sure rebook with her again.”

“Amberle is the sweetest and a true professional! Our pets loved her so much and she was so communicative we really felt our pets were in great hands. She is so sweet and left the house better in better shape than we left it! We will 100% be trusting Amberle with our pets again!”

About: As a dog owner myself, I understand how important it is to trust someone with your dog’s care. I bring a calm, dependable presence and treat every dog as an individual, meeting them where they are—energy level, personality, and needs included. I’m easy-going and patient, with a genuine love and appreciation for dogs of all kinds. Whether your dog enjoys longer walks, hikes, dog park time, or just a quick potty break and some companionship, I tailor each visit to what helps them feel comfortable and content. I have experience with both puppies and senior dogs. I’ve put my own younger dog through multiple training classes and understand the importance of reinforcing routines, commands, and good habits. I’m also comfortable administering medication and slowing things down for senior pups who need extra care and attention. Both of my dogs are rescues, which has made me especially mindful of dogs who may be anxious, sensitive, or adjusting to new people. I prioritize patience, consistency, and reassurance—particularly for dogs who feel stressed when their humans are away. I work full-time from home during the week, which gives me a flexible and predictable schedule for walks, drop-ins, and check-ins throughout the day. I’m generally available mornings, mid-day, and early evenings, and I’m off on weekends—so your dog gets consistent care, not rushed gaps between obligations. I plan my day around the dogs I’m caring for, making sure walks and visits fit naturally into a calm, steady routine. I aim to mirror your dog’s normal routine as closely as possible—feeding schedules, walking habits, commands, and house rules—so they feel secure and settled. I’m attentive to cues like body language, energy levels, and stress signals, and I adjust care as needed. Safety always comes first: secure leashes and harness checks, awareness of surroundings on walks, and clear communication if anything feels off. I respect your home as I would my own and follow instructions carefully, knowing trust is earned through consistency and follow-through.
“Kristen was a thorough and prompt communicator and awesome with our critters! Our anxious dog and cat warmed up to her quickly and she was able to navigate a troublesome toilet issue while we were gone. She is great and we appreciated her house sitting!”

“merry was great with my dog! they were very thorough and made sure they had al the necessary info to take care of him, and i was very confident that we would be well taken care of while i was gone! highly recommend (:”

“My pup was still new to me, anxious and scared of people and some other breeds of dogs, I was pleased to know Carlos was able to meet with me before hand, meet my dog and take the time to learn about him. He then sent pictures and updated me whilst I was away, I highly recommend !!”

“Samantha was great with our 3 cats and 2 very anxious dogs. She was patient and kind with them. We came home to a clean house - she even took the garbage out, brought our bins back in, and loaded the bedding in the washer. She went above and beyond watering plants, having great communication, and sending cute pics while we were gone. We came home to happy pets and are so thankful she took such great care of them. Highly recommend her and will book her again!”

“We are so happy to have found Theo! Our home is always well taken care of and Xxena is well loved. We receive daily photos and check-ins and it's really nice to know that she's in good hands while we're away!”

Wood Village pet parents share their Rover experiences
This is my first time using Rover and we were looking for an overnight sitter for mainly my little Genee girl who has never not had family around her. Anika filled that gap for us and did an amazing job. She put up with all my messages and provided pictures of Genee on walks and playing. She even included pics of the cat lounging around as usual. I was worried about leaving Genee for the first time but Anika made it much easier for me! I would highly recommend her and I will be calling upon her again when we need a sitter!

Maryola did such an amazing job watching my dog skyla! She gave me updates whenever i asked, and sent me pictures as well! I felt very confident leaving skyla with her! She did such a great job! Skyla is a nervous dog but when she sent me pictures of her she looked so happy and calm! So i would book with her if i were you! Thank you so much again Maryola!

Michelle was fantastic! She was very through with our dogs and made sure everyone was getting what they needed! Sent lots of pictures and even cleaned our house and outdoor area! She even looked after our goats and did a terrific job. It was so nice to not have to worry about our babies we were able to relax knowing they were in good hands

Mariah was AMAZING!! She stayed at our house for a week while we were out of town to take care of our 2 pets. She provided daily updates with photos and was responsive throughout the week. When we came home we couldn't believe how clean and untouched our house looked. We'll definitely use Mariah's services again if we need a sitter. She is the best!

Jaclyn is so great. Our dogs loved her, even our more difficult one. Jaclyn is excellent at being calm and attentive. She left the house spotless and played with the pups. She sent the perfect amount of updates and pics. Fancy and Elliot seemed to love her and we would definitely hire her again!

Sterling was an excellent sitter. He took care of our cats, dogs, horses, and aquarium while we were away over the Thanksgiving holiday. He sent us pictures and updates of our pets and was great with our four month old puppy who is a handful and still in house training mode. Our Great Dane is on allergy and heart medication and Sterling handled that too. He wasn’t afraid to ask questions if he needed information. The house was clean and in order when we arrived home and the dogs seemed sad to see him go. We will hire him again in a heartbeat.

JoyLynn took great care of Django & Oso demonstrating her ability to multitask with bigger dogs and a 3 month old puppy as well. She provided plenty of playdate pictures and asked questions to ensure the babies had a safe and comfortable stay. She was very accommodating with offering transportation to the airport so we could save costs on Uber while traveling. Very helpful and considerate and left my home cleaner than she found it. Definitely recommend her services as they go above and beyond even the description she provides. She made sure to ask questions that I haven’t even thought of as a pet owner since we are so used to just doing small things to make our pets comfy.

Rachel is such a lovely, gentle and kind person! She took great care of our sensitive girl Georgia. Rachel took Georgia out for adventures in the park and helped Georgia feel relaxed and safe at the condo we rented while attending a concert at Edgefield. We will definitely reach out to Rachel again next time we are in town.
