“This was our first time leaving Bertie with a sitter - and using River - and we could not be happier! Donna is the BESTEST! We look forward to seeing Donna again 🥰”

“Momo is amazing! She took such great care of Anouk and Klaus— treating them to long walks and lots of attention. Staying on a routine is the best things for my pups, and Momo honored that and more! She’s also a great communicator which gave us extra peace of mind while we were both traveling. I HIGHLY recommend Momo!”

“Scott was communicative and provided great care for our pups! He came and met the dogs ahead of time, which was really nice. He was very easy going throughout the whole process. Thank you!”

“Adeline did a great job. Exactly what we asked for. She checked in with us during her stay. Respoinsive when we contacted her. Foxy and Gray Guy were fine when we got home.”

“Fantastic sitter, my dogs immediately loved her and she took excellent care of them and our home. Our dogs have high needs, pill regimens, and are aggressive towards other dogs and she handled all of it so well!”

“Selena was wonderful, she really bonded with our beloved Sterling the Snowshoe. It was great to be able to relax on our road trip knowing Selena was there caring for him and our house. She left the house in beautiful shape and we could tell kitty really loved being with her.”

“Claire took great care of our two new little kittens when we spent a weekend away. We really appreciated her help all weekend, and knew after meeting her that the kitties were going to be in good hands. We would love to have Claire and her kiddo help out again in the future when the need arises!”

About: We’ve all been there. Concert tickets in hand, no one to bail you out. The encore is gonna rip but it’s been 5 hours since your ninja has been fed. I gotchu! Enjoy the show! I’d love to help the same pets over and over again. No renegade owners or abusers Hit the town or enjoy the concert. I’m just relaxing. Your schedule is mine and mine isn’t in the way of your fun! Water, food, excrement. No particular order but all 3 are a must! Funny fish tank videos and WU-Tang instrumentals. Prolly some fetch and feats of strength.
“Shad did a great job looking after our pups (4). He was in contact with us daily with a few short notes and photos to let us know all were well. When we came home, the house was as we left it and wagging tails. I would definitely give Shad a call back.”

“Noemi took great care of our dog and cat. She was easy to communicate with leading up to and during our trip. She sent lots of pictures and really seemed to connect with our pets. Our dog even seemed like he missed her the first couple days we were home! We will definitely be seeing if Noemi is available for future trips.”

“Naiya was very flexible and responsible! We had house construction going on while she was there and she was able to adjust her schedule accordingly. She is a great communicator and takes her role as dog-care-provider very seriously, which is great. Our dogs seemed to be well-cared for, and nice and tired when we got home. She handled the grooming, medications and all the other care duties very well. As I said before, she takes her role as care provider seriously, which is a rare thing. We are thankful for the care and attention she gave to our two dogs.”

“I got really lucky when a last minute business trip came up and Heather responded quickly and had an opening. I wasn’t able to greet her and she was able to get herself into the house and care for Lily on time and I got regular reports daily. I really appreciated. Left the place, clean and organized, and Lily was excited to see me when I got home. Thanks Heather.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lents
Melinda has been so great with our dogs, especially with our anxious pound mutt who fears the whole world. They became best buds instantly. She always leaves the house so nice, and the dogs are calm and obviously well cared for when we get home. Can't say enough great things.

This was my first time using Rover and to be honest I was a little nervous hiring someone to watch my furbabies; but Katherine did an AMAZING job taking care of our dogs and house. My husband and I were very pleased and we enjoyed our weekend getaway with zero worries. Katherine was responsive, kind, and even sent me pics of my dogs - which I loved. We will definitely be hiring her again! ☺️ Thanks so much! Neela and Rio were well taken care of.

Mario did an amazing job taking care of my dogs, Coco and Lola! He was reliable, caring, and treated them like they were his own. I felt completely comfortable knowing they were in good hands while I was away. Coco and Lola were happy, relaxed, and clearly enjoyed their time with him. I really appreciate the attention and care Mario gave them. I would definitely trust him to watch Coco and Lola again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a responsible and trustworthy dog sitter. Thank you, Mario!

Corynn is amazing! We haven't had a regular go-to sitter for some time, but I think we've found her! She watched our two dogs and two cats while in our home while we were out of the country for a week, and she gave the the ease of mind to enjoy our trip, as much as we could without our babies. We came home to a clean house and happy pets. 10/10, would absolutely recommend her.

Katie did an amazing job with my rescue Great Pyrenees who struggles with anxiety and to connect with new people in his life. She patiently worked with us to gain his trust and build rapport with him leading up to our vacation, and she did an excellent job while we were away. She is responsible and communicative and was respectful of our home, leaving things pristine. Both of our kitties loved her too, including our little old lady cat who is often wary of new folks too. Thank you so much Katie!

Mandy is the BEST! I highly recommend! She is timely and communicative and sends the cutest videos daily. I have 2 very energetic and reactive pups and Mandy is so patient and loving with them. It is so nice to feel relaxed when out of town and not worry a second about your babies being in the best of hands!

Claire & Summer were excellent caretakers for our little Poppy while we were on a two week vacation in Europe. They sent us plenty of photos, and even got her some toys and little dresses. Claire was very communicative & filled us in on anything we may want to know during her care of Poppy! We will definitely be using them again!

As of September 2026, there are 4,506 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Lents. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Lents walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Lents maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Lents choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Lents. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
