“Simply, Adeline was a perfect pet sitter in pur home. Our little dog is 16 years old and doesn't hear. He also was highly traumatized before we adopted him, so new people make him very agitated. deline was amazing with him. She was kind enough to agree to a pre vacation meetup before our holiday. She listened to our concerns and clearly treated him well. By the time we came home a week later, she was his bestie. Adeline sent us photos periodically with updates and seemed to really care about them, offering to sit for us again in the future. We're so grateful to Adeline for her patience and care; she made it possible for me to relax on vacation knowing they were in good hands. Thank you Adeline!”

“Tayler is a gem! She took great care of both our kitty and our house! Returned home to a well adjusted pet and a super clean house. I'd recommend her to anyone!”

“Merry was punctual, and a good communicator. She was very friendly and clearly cared about my animals well being, and safety. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter.”

“This is the second time that Mackenzie has sat for us, and she was wonderful as always! She was very on top of updates, and went out of her way to help and communicate with us when one of our dogs had a medical issue while we were away. I’m super grateful that we were able to find Mackenzie and hope to have her sit for us many more times in the future!”

“Donna was amazing. We had her stay at our house when we had to go out of town for the night. Donna showed up on time and kept in contact with pictures and text's. She went above and beyond for our 2 poodles, who loved her. Very kind, trustworthy and caring.”

“Jamie is hands down the best sitter we’ve had. He took excellent of my senior, arthritic, anxious pit bull and 4 ducks. He asked thorough, conscientious questions about their care which showed me how much he really cares. My dog Annie has difficulty walking long distances and Jamie was incredibly patient and kind with her. He also left our house extremely clean. Thank you, Jamie!”

“Matt was an excellent pet sitter. He was extremely easy to work with and took great care of our house and pets while we were away. He was always quick to respond, and I feel he went above and beyond to ensure we came home to a well-kept home and pets.”

“Kieran was absolutely wonderful with my dogs. He took the time to come by beforehand to meet both dogs and even walked my feisty little dog ahead of my trip—which made all of us feel comfortable right away. While I was away, Kieran kept me at ease with regular check-ins, photos, and quick responses whenever I had questions. I came home to two very happy dogs—and a house that looked exactly the same as I left it, which I truly appreciate. There was even a five-hour power outage while I was gone, and he handled it without a single complaint. On top of that, Kieran made sure my plants were watered during a stretch of 90-degree weather—definitely going above and beyond. Kieran has such a calm, easygoing demeanor, and I felt completely secure having them in my home. I will absolutely be hiring Kieran again and look forward to working with them throughout the coming year.”

“Leaving a fearful, reactive Blue Heeler is incredibly stressful- Sydney handled everything flawlessly while house-sitting; during my absence, there happened to be tree trimming which required parking spots to be vacated, chimney inspections, and exterior repairs during hot weather (of course it just HAD to occur during the ONE period I wouldn't be home). She handled everything flawlessly including understanding my dog's triggers, respecting their boundaries during nervous moments, and took the time to build trust safely. Sydney sent fantastic updates and photos, which gave me peace of mind. It’s rare to find someone who truly "gets" herding breeds and reactivity while being patient and gentle. I am so grateful and will absolutely be booking again!”

“Tsitsiki is AMAZING! Tre was treated so well! & My home was the same as when I left, Very respectful! Tsitsiki made this experience stress free! I was able to be at ease while at work knowing my pup was being taken care of and loved on!”

“Lucinda took good care of our Wheaten Terrier for several days while we were gone. She sent little updates and photos throughout the time which was comforting and appreciated. We would definitely enlist her service again.”

“Aimee is the best thing that has come into our lives. She took care of our boy Dante for an extended number of days. She showed him the love, as if he was her own. I would highly recommend her for anyone that needs to have a pet taken care of, so you can go on a vacation and actually relax. We are very protective of our boy and I felt very confident leaving her in charge while we were away. Getting pictures and video's of him while away, made us feel very comfortable of how he was doing. Dante really misses her. Aimee let him know everyday that we love him and would be back soon. We're so grateful for the care she gave him and the attention he needed, as he is a very spoiled boy. I will without a shadow of a doubt use her services for our future vacation plans.”
“Amir has watched my pack three times now, and he does daily drop-ins when I am at work. He is awesome! Super attentive and very communicative. He goes above and beyond consistently; Like helping me battle the Little Black Ants that had invaded my kitchen. Seriously, he's the best. And I trust him implicitly. So do my three beasts!”

“Char and Ben were fantastic pet sitters for my two Danes. It was obvious from the meet and greet that they had experience and were very comfortable around X-lg dogs! The communication and photos were top notch. My dogs are quirky and Char and Ben were able to work with them on their picky eating and fear of the floor register. The Danes were very content when I came home so I knew they had gotten their needs met while I was gone. Bodhi is now moping around as he misses his new buddies. Highly recommend them and will definitely use them again.”

“Michael was a wonderful dog and house sitter! We received pictures and videos daily, which were very appreciated while we were traveling. We trusted Hazel was in good hands and the house was, too! We’d definitely have Michael watch Hazel again.”

“Jadon did a fantastic job of caring for my two pets and home while my family was away on vacation over the holidays. He was very communicative and patient with my senior dog who deals with anxiety and doesn’t do well separated from us. He worked with us to help her feel comfortable, and after a couple days she warmed up to him and was doing great. He also did a great job taking care of the house, and it was a huge relief to know everything was well cared for while we were away. I’d definitely recommend Jadon and will certainly keep him on our short list when we need help again in the future.”

“Deanna was a great pet and house sitter. She was very communicative, checking in every day and with pictures, and asking questions as needed to ensure she understood and was following our many many instructions for our dog and two cats. I definitely intend to use Deanna again.”

The median cost per night for house sitting in Harmony Point is $51

Shelly was so so fantastic! I felt completely at ease leaving my senior cat in her care, and I'm so grateful for how communicative and attentive she was. I tend to overexplain and write out a ton of info, but Shelly read through everything and was very kind and understanding about everything. She really went above and beyond when looking after Sunday and my apartment <3 My place was spotless when I returned, and my cat was happy as can be! Highly recommend.

Angela was absolutely fabulous! She stayed with our wild and crazy four-month-old puppy for a week, and rose to the challenge! He requires a lot of redirection and has a ton of energy, and she stayed patient with him, took him on long walks, and kept him from destroying the house. We came home to a clean house, watered garden, and a happy, tired pup. We would definitely have her back!

Jackson was so great with nervous lil chihuahua over July 4th weekend! He gave great check ins and also notified us the second our dog was behaving out of the normal and we were able to figure it out together quickly. Our pup and our home were in great hands with Jackson. Thank you!!

We would absolutely book with Jason again! He left the house in wonderful condition (even ran the dishwasher and washed the guest room sheets!) and most importantly- took great care of our little guy Bobby. He sent us frequent updates on his schedule and pictures of our dude, cuddled and snuggled with him and went above and beyond with some important mail we were expecting during his stay. He got right on the ground and met our pup when we had him by to check out the place/meet Bobby, and had a calm sweet demeanor with him. Would definitely recommend!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Harmony Point walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Harmony Point maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Harmony Point choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
