Pet care experience

Animal lover & human enthusiast

Nice to meet you here in this little corner of the internet. I’d love to share a bit about who I am and what I hope to offer you and your pet. Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. There has never been a moment when I didn’t share my home, and my heart, with one. Each animal I’ve loved has shaped me, guided me, and influenced how I move through the world. The bond between humans and animals is something I find both indescribable and essential, and it’s the reason I’ve shifted from a career that no longer fulfilled me to one that brings me purpose every single day. I believe the relationship you have with your pet is both the most effortless and the most challenging one you’ll ever navigate. The love comes easy; the logistics sometimes don’t. Work, travel, schedules, responsibilities, you can’t always bring your pet with you, and that can create stress for both of you. If that feeling is familiar, I’m here to help. I’m compassionate, patient, and deeply respectful of every animal’s unique personality. I have shared my life with three Siberian Huskies who each have very specific needs, so I understand firsthand what it’s like to search for a sitter who truly “gets” your pet. What I appreciate most about this process is the opportunity to connect personally, so you can ask me anything, and I can learn exactly how your pet is loved and cared for. My goal is to make sure they experience the same comfort, routine, and understanding while they’re with me. I also have 4 cats of my own! all of whom come with very different sets of dos and do nots. I like to say it that way because cats are so so much different than dogs and I have experience taking care of all different kinds. I also have hands-on experience with pets who need a little extra support—dogs with big feelings, cats with specific needs, and animals navigating transitions, particularly through my time working with dogs at the humane society. While I’m not medically trained, I’ve taken classes, learned from professionals, and supported my own dog through behavior work. If you’ve ever felt anxious about finding the right sitter or walker, I’ve been there, and I’m happy to meet with you to see if I’m the right fit for your family. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Please feel free to reach out with any questions. If we’re a good match, I look forward to caring for your pet and helping lighten your load, even just a little.

Pets

Safety, trust & environment

At home we have a larger yard with lots of room to play with our pets. Overall good pet friendly environment. Working from home I can spend a lot of time with them and with your pets in between. Being a watercolorist I get lots of time in between washes to let paint dry! Plenty of time to make animals lives better.

Taylor took great care of our two dogs while we were away for a weekend. She sent lots of great updates of the pups and they loved her right away, and spent a good amount of time snuggling with her. I could tell from the updates that they were comfortable with her and not stressed that we were gone. They are very different dogs - one is a senior, one is high energy - and she balanced their care really well. We will absolutely be rebooking with Taylor next time we need a sitter!

Taylor dropped in on my 13 year old terrier-chihuahua mix twice a day for 2 days (4 visits). He absolutely loved her immediately and she really seemed to understand his personality right off the bat. I liked having pics and reports of how he was doing because it had been a couple of years since I’ve had to be away from him for an extended period. I highly recommend Taylor for dog or cat care and will definitely request her again.

Taylor is amazing! She sat our 5 mo old puppy for a long weekend and provided the best care!! This was our first time away from Corra and it was so reassuring to work with Taylor! She is super communicative - she checked in regularly, asked questions when needed, made sure we were on the same page, and provided detailed updates about how Corra was doing. She also shared so many photos and videos, which was so helpful for our kid who was missing Corra big time! I will definitely book with Taylor again and would recommend her to my friends and family.

Taylor was such a joy to have watch our sweet babies She is incredibly attentive, noticing little things about Abu that you would only pick up on if you were really tuned in and paying close attention. Abu is 10, and this was the first time I’ve ever had someone come stay in our home through Rover, so I was definitely a little nervous. But she made me feel completely at ease. Even my partner Ben—who is very particular about our home—felt totally comfortable with her there. She sent super detailed updates and also shared videos of Abu on her Instagram stories that were shared with me. My family and I were watching them all week cracking up. She really captured his personality which is nice when you miss your puppy. She took him to all of his favorite neighborhood spots, got him treats. I know people are going to miss seeing her around because she’s just such a ray of light. She also left the cutest bejeweled Polaroids of Abu along with a handwritten card and her business card. I will be keeping those Polaroids photos forever as they are very special. She’s the perfect mix of fun/playful and professional. She took all of my care instructions seriously, was proactive (even willing to pick up a prescription from our vet), and left the house spotless. A clean home was great to come back to. I seriously cannot recommend her enough. She’s one of those people you just feel lucky to find.

Thanks Taylor for being such a good leader with Maggie and re-directing her as needed. She has big energy with other dogs and benefits from your firm guidance. She was super happy to go on this walk with you and is napping now!

I prefer to know about your dogs history so I can make sure to factor anything in on their walks. For example, if they react to other animals or people, or if they are scared of vehicles. If they have any forms of aggression and how you navigate that. Any allergies or medical conditions, even if I will not be administering I think it is good to know the animals physical condition so I can note if I see any signs during my visits with them. If they have had past surgeries or are in recovery so I can make sure they are taken care of properly.
