When we go on trips we go into wilderness areas with no reception, so it can be a little nerve wracking to leave our four cats in a stranger's care, but after meeting Kristen and after seeing how she took care of our cat crew, we were able to truly enjoy our vacation. Anyone who knows cats know they need more than someone who just puts down food for them and checks their litter box. Every cat has a unique personality that requires attention and care. Kristen (and her husband Todd) took the time to get to know each of our cats and they really went above and beyond to make sure all the cats got attention and love while we were gone. We got a bunch of adorable photos and videos, and we always got detailed updates from each check in. Kristen also did all the classic cat sitter tasks perfectly, like making sure the water fountains were filled/clean, vacuumed the cat food mat area, and even cleaned up our catio area more than we asked her to. When we came home, she had stopped by several hours before and the cat food was perfectly prepared for the cats, the kitchen was spotless, and the cats were super content. It was pretty fantastic coming home from a long trip to a house full of happy cats and clean litterboxes. I can't recommend her highly enough.”

About: Equine care experience since 2011, goat and chicken care experience since 2014, along with cat, fish, and dog lifelong. (With the occasional bullfrog 🐸) experience with administrating oral medication and shots for all animals listed above (aside from fish) I’m currently working part time. I’m working on bettering my skillset as a cook and baker while attending the gym and working out on a regular basis. This leaves me with more flexibility to dote on and care for your furry babies- or hairless ones 😉 I don’t discriminate! Depending on if your pet needs to be crated or non crated I can set up a safe and comfortable environment for them incase I am needed to leave to premises. I allow my pets on furniture and bed at home (always nice getting to snuggle) but will always follow any household rules that may differ from my own. Bathroom breaks regularly, every 2-4 hours. Along with frequent walks throughout the day and evening 2-4 walks a day—depends on weather and how your pet responds to climate changes.
About: I work for a doggie daycare and dog walking company and I walk up to 10 dogs at a time by myself in all kinds of weather. In hot weather, I bring them to shaded parks. I use healthy treats for training and every dog improves, some dramatically. My business partner and I have given sick or injured dogs wagon rides on paved bike trails to get them fresh air and socialization with their friends. At the time of this writing, between the daycare and Rover, I have worked with 80 dogs. I am currently working full time on weekdays, but I’m available on weekends for dog walking, house sitting and drop-in visits. Dog walking is included with house sitting. I am available to pet sit in client’s homes and walk dogs. I am an avid hiker, so I would take them for walks and runs if appropriate. I double check to ensure harnesses are adjusted properly and comfortable. I use a dog walking belt to attach leashes to, keeping my hands free to pick up after them. If another dog passes, I distract my dogs by offering treats for sitting, staying and directing attention at me. I love taking them to play in parks or the yard, and give lots of love, head scratches and belly rubs! I take time to train so they will trust me and come to me when called. I use a happy, excited voice to encourage them to walk, and a calm, gentle voice when giving them a treat so they learn to take it gently from my hand. I even learned commands in Spanish to help a dog who understands that language best. In addition, I have earned online certificates in Dog Emotion and Cognition from Duke University and Animal Behavior and Welfare from the University of Edinburgh.

About: My name is Adrian and I am a PSU student making money to move out this summer, I love all dogs big and small and I have owned many throughout my life. I am a music lover at heart when I am not working towards my anthropology major. I hope to one day teach history and culture related classes to all ages of students. My family dog Olav is a large great pyranees mix, and I love him with all my heart. We go on walks, hikes, runs and swims together all the time and all over Oregon. About: I grew up in rural midwest with dogs, cats, and guinea pigs since I was 9. I was a dedicated and loving dog mama to my beloved bernese mountain dog, Riker, for 9.5 years and I miss him very much. I enjoyed taking my boy to thousand acres, Mt. Tabor, and several other dog parks and we've gone on many hikes on the coast, in the gorge, and in Mt. Hood forest. I have special connections with my friends' animals and I've enjoyed taking their dogs for walks since my boy passed last March. I'm a fourth-year doctoral graduate student at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) meaning my schedule can be pretty flexible. I have two full days of clinic per week and fill the rest of the week with writing and research. When I'm not in clinic I can work with my schedule to take your fur baby on walks, check in on them to let them out, or schedule an adventure! I can also come house sit or invite your pet over for the day or extended stay. I have a fenced in backyard with ample space for throwing the ball or lounging in the sun on a picnic blanket. We also live very close to a park for on leash walks or park hangs. Our fur baby passed in March 2026 but our one-level house is still set up to be accessible with rugs on the wood flooring for traction, plenty of blankets and comfy spots to sleep, and easy access to the back yard (just two steps). We allow animals on furniture but respect your rules if that's a boundary of yours!
