I work part-time with a lot of flexibility, and while I get time to interact with my friends' and neighbor's pets, I can always make time to add another set of paws to the mix.

Safety, trust & environment
Typically, when providing care, I like to meet and greet in advance of whatever service--be it walks, check-ins, daycare, or overnights--to start off socializing with a particular pet on the right foot. I also ask for typical routines (including dietary particulars and medicine), off-limits areas and behaviors, as well as favorite toys, games, and treats! I always bring a few things to keep myself occupied in case of pets who like to do their own thing, but usually a lot of the time is spent directly supporting your companion through play, feeding, and snuggles!
Information Lucas B. would like to know about your pet
Absolute top priority goes to knowing dietary needs and medications, closely followed by any behavioral tendencies to watch out for. In particular, I like to know ahead of time if they're reactive under specific conditions. If they have a history of reacting to strangers, we'll definitely need to get introduced and acclimated ahead of time! Whatever the need, I will do my best to implement a strategy that works for all involved.
A typical day
Once I know your companion's preferred style of socializing and playing, those will be the go-tos! Weather permitting, we'll spend more time outside than a potty break minimum--especially for high-energy needs! On the other hand, if they prefer to spend the day relaxing indoors, I'll be posted up with them, making sure they feel loved and safe in your absence. Whenever they let me know it's time to play, we'll play their favorite games with their favorite toys, and when it's time to snuggle, I'll figure out all their favorite spots to get scritches.

Lifelong Pet Lover and Caretaker!
Pet care experience
I've been taking care of pets for friends and family since I was old enough to pour kibble and fill water bowls! I grew up with two dogs, three cats, and friends and family with farms and ranches, giving me experience working with everything from lizards to horses. I love connecting with critters and ensuring their physical AND emotional needs stay a top priority. Experience includes: walks, structured playtime, behavioral observation and modification, photography, light grooming, medicine administration, and boarding.

Wonderful and communicative. They cared for our two dogs and gave them all the attention they needed. Would happily rebook when needed.

Lucas was great with our reactive dog! Calm, communicative, and patient. We will definitely use them again!
Speaking both as an experienced pet sitter myself and as someone who has known Forest for many years, I can vouch confidently for their love of and way with critters of all kinds. They have a keen sense for how to approach and care for pets of different needs and energy levels, including those who may require a little more caution or time to get accustomed to a new face. I recommend them highly!
Forest is an extremely compassionate and caring individual who takes wonderful care of all sorts of animals. Our three troublemaker cats were no match for Forest's optimism and spirit, and the fact that Forest was still happy to see them each morning after spending a few nights with them was proof they were a hero.
