I've been taking care of pets for friends and family since I was old enough to pour kibble and fill water bowls! I grew up with two dogs, three cats, and friends and family with farms and ranches, giving me experience working with everything from lizards to horses. I love connecting with critters and ensuring their physical AND emotional needs stay a top priority. Experience includes: walks, structured playtime, behavioral observation and modification, photography, light grooming, medicine administration, and boarding.

Typically, when providing care, I like to meet and greet in advance of whatever service--be it walks, check-ins, daycare, or overnights--to start off socializing with a particular pet on the right foot. I also ask for typical routines (including dietary particulars and medicine), off-limits areas and behaviors, as well as favorite toys, games, and treats! I always bring a few things to keep myself occupied in case of pets who like to do their own thing, but usually a lot of the time is spent directly supporting your companion through play, feeding, and snuggles!

Schedule
I work part-time with a lot of flexibility, and while I get time to interact with my friends' and neighbor's pets, I can always make time to add another set of paws to the mix.

- Absolute top priority goes to knowing dietary needs and medications, closely followed by any behavioral tendencies to watch out for. In particular, I like to know ahead of time if they're reactive under specific conditions. If they have a history of reacting to strangers, we'll definitely need to get introduced and acclimated ahead of time! Whatever the need, I will do my best to implement a strategy that works for all involved.
