I love animals and enjoy making sure they are happy, Safe, and well Cared for every day lincorporate pet care into my daily and weekly routine by scheduling walks and drop-in visits at times that are convenient for the pets and their owners. About: Dedicated Certified Dog Trainer and Pet First Aid/CPR Instructor with over 30 years experience caring for a variety of pets for family, friend's, and coworkers. I also have over 4 years experience working in high-volume doggie daycare, boarding, and training environment. I'm experienced in working with dogs of different breeds, ages, sizes (XS-XXL), and temperaments. I am also experienced in caring for cats, rats, guinea pigs, and bunnies. The pets in my care will be treated like my own and receive top-tier care. I work from home, so your pet won't be left alone or crated all day. I am insured, licensed, and certified in dog training and care. I have a fully fenced backyard (6ft tall vinyl fencing), baby gates, and x-pens to keep dogs out of unwanted areas or keep dogs separated. I enjoy capturing pictures and videos of the pets in my care doing various activities and am willing to send you updates throughout their stay. I'm starting my own in home pet care and am home with your pets 24/7. Everyday the pets in my care are let out for a potty break upon arrival or in the morning, before coming back into their separate spaces to have breakfast (if boarding or parent's brought breakfast). About an hour (time to let their food settle) after breakfast we go out for another supervised potty break, depending on the weather we'll stay outside and engage in some supervised play or come inside and do some enrichment activities before enjoying some down time to relax and reset. If you have requested a lunch for your pet, I'll provide a safe and quiet space for you pet to enjoy some lunch between 12pm-1pm. After letting their lunch settle( between 1pm-2pm) we'll go back out for a supervised potty break and some more supervised playtime, enrichment, or go for a walk in the neighborhood. I live in a house in a quiet neighborhood. I have 2 pet friendly dogs of my own, a husband, and a 16 year old son. I am licensed, insured, and certified in dog training and care. My backyard is fully fenced (6ft tall) with security cameras all around the outside. I also have baby gates and x-pens to keep pets separated if needed. I have poop scoops and a bucket for quick and easy clean up, pet safe/vet approved sanitizer to keep things clean/sanitized, pet first aid supplies, toys, enrichment/training equipment, a dog run, kennels, water bowls, a sandbox for digging in, swimming pools/sprinklers and air condtioning for hot days, and plan to add more outdoor equipment for a more fun and enriching time. Your pets will be treated like one of my own.

This allows me to provide regular potty breaks, scheduled meals, walks, and plenty of cuddle time or one-on-one attention whenever your dog needs it. Being home most of the time means your pup will always have companionship and supervision, with frequent updates sent to keep you connected to their day. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and sense of belonging are our top priorities. We have a securely fenced yard where all dogs are always supervised during potty breaks and outdoor play. Inside, guest dogs don’t just stay downstairs—they’re fully integrated into our family routine and spend time alongside our boys in all common areas. Crates remain available and are used only if it suits each dog’s comfort and routine. We maintain a spotless environment—blankets, crates, toys, and dog beds are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between visits to ensure every pet has a fresh, safe space. Whether it’s playtime in the living room, cuddles on the couch, or lounge breaks in the quiet corners, your dog will feel like part of the pack in a calm, loving home.

However you want them to be taken care of.

About: Between owning pets for 10+ years and helping friends and family take care of their pets I have a lot of experience with senior dogs who require extra care and things like medication to puppies who just want lots of play time! I work from home which provides me a lot of flexibility in my schedule, both weekly and daily and whether it's taking pets on walks or house sitting. About: I've taken care of dogs, cats and even birds/reptiles of both friends and family before. I use to work in the pet field and have a love of all animals. Ive owned animals of many kinds. I did also train for a short time as both a dog and cat groomer. I have owned and cared for special needs, senior and young animals too. I am currently working part time as a security officer and don't have a set schedule so i have alot of free time to spend with your pups or kits. I can offer several hours a day of enrichment and am willing to travel to please your puppies or kitties. I love outdoor adventures or just sitting at home one the couch cuddling if that what you and your pets prefer. I will care for your dogs in your home as you would like. If your dog has a set schedule and routine, i have no issues with following this. Same for your feline friends. I have no issues following your instructions as written and will do my best to make it a fun and positive experience for both you and your pet.

About: I have grown up with pets and even found my first job working at an animal boarding house. You could say I learned to become a professional dog walker at a young age. I have two high anxiety dogs and have been working on their social skills and coping methods to help their anxiety. I work full-time from home but take frequent breaks to let the dogs go out and play and take multiple walks a day to give them exercise. Weekends are mostly free to cuddle and to play with the fur babies. When house sitting or boarding pets I stay close so they be taken care of as needed. I keep my own pets on a schedule feeding, potty breaks and play with puzzles to earn treats. I will follow clients care guidelines to maintain consistency and keep them comfortable while their owners are gone.

About: I may be new to Rover, but I'm not new to working with dogs. My life revolves around dogs and has for many, many years. I run my own pet services business, Hounds of Love PDX, and bring a lifetime of experience in all areas including rescue, handling, walking, daycare, sitting, fostering, transporting and volunteering with local rescue organizations, as well as for Oregon Dog Rescue and Dove Lewis. I'm a small dog and senior advocate, and work with dogs of all sizes. I’ve always had an affinity for sighthounds(Greyhounds, Italian Greyhounds, etc), and understand their unique and sensitive nature well. I always put dogs first in every aspect of life, and feel they’re all part of my extended pack, and treat every dog as such. Safety is absolutely the top priority for me when working with pets. I’m always watching, listening and paying attention to their body language. I have a thorough understanding of dog behavior and know that each dog has a unique personality and needs, and that not all dogs are extroverts. In fact, many are quite the opposite. I’m naturally hyper-vigilant, yet focus on remaining kind, calm and confident when working with dogs, especially when out in the world. I’ve completed a variety of trainings with dogs over my lifetime, from canine good citizen, to flyball, to advanced therapy dog training. I always carry a well-stocked pet first aid kit in my vehicle, as well as water, bowls, treats, blankets and travel crates so as to always be as prepared.
