About: We are gentle, caring, and experienced pet parents ready to welcome your pet(s) into our home. I (Alex) have been caring for pets of family and friends for well over a decade. I once worked at the WSU veterinary school and have experience volunteering at vet clinics and fostering. I have always been passionate about animals of all shapes, sizes, and ages. My partner Dalton is a work from home dad to our three furbabies and one human baby. We have plenty of indoor and fenced outdoor space for your pet(s) to roam. Whether they want to cuddle up on the couch with us, or prefer a quiet, secluded space of their own, we can accommodate your pet's needs. Our goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while in our home. If you need drop-in visits or dog walking, I have availability for that too! Don't hesitate to reach out with questions. We value open, frequent communication and would love a meet and greet with you and your pet(s) to see if we are a good fit. I work night shift in healthcare- I have several days off in a row every other week which is when I would be available for pet sitting. This includes weekends and weekdays, as well as some holidays. My partner works from home full-time so is available to help out as needed. We have a large one story home with plenty of lounge spaces for your pet to get comfortable. We also have a large fully fenced, grassy backyard. Our two elderly dogs are good with other dogs, but we also have the ability to give your pet(s) their own gated off space, or crate, if needed.
“We loved having NIKKI care for our cats while we were away. She is so sweet, and very professional. I know immediately upon meeting her that she would do a great job. During our trip she checked in with us each day to give us a little update on our fur babies, including taking the time to send pictures. Both of our cats seems right at home with her... and snuggled in close for cuddles when she came over. Nikki followed our instructions to the letter. I definitely hope to work with her again sometime, and highly recommend her for your pet sitting needs!”

“Sarah did a fantastic job taking care of our cat! It was amazing to hear and see pictures of how interactive and unafraid our very shy cat who normally hides from visitors. Thank you Sarah!!❤️❤️❤️”

“Michelle was great with our challenging kitty! He loved her, even though he showed some attitude towards her on 1 day, which she dealt with professionally. The house was clean and dishes were washed. Everything was great!”

“Bethany was very dependable, which gives peace of mind. I am sure my dogs appreciated being taken care of in their own environment. I will request Bethany again, next time, if she is available.”

About: I may be new to Rover, but I'm not new to working with dogs. I run my own business, Hounds of Love PDX, and bring a lifetime of experience in all areas including rescue, handling, walking, daycare, sitting, fostering, transporting and volunteering with local rescue organizations, as well as for Oregon Dog Rescue and Dove Lewis. I'm a small dog and senior advocate, and work with dogs of all sizes and breeds. I’ve always had an affinity for sighthounds(Greyhounds, Italian Greyhounds, etc), and understand their unique and sensitive nature well. I always put dogs first in every aspect of life, and feel they’re all part of my extended pack, and treat every dog as such. Safety is top priority for me when working with pets. I’m always watching, listening and paying attention to their body language. I have a deep understanding of dog psychology and know that each dog has a unique personality and needs, and that not all dogs are extroverts. In fact, many are quite the opposite. I’m naturally hyper-vigilant, yet focus on remaining calm and assertive when working with dogs, especially when out in the world. I’ve completed a variety of trainings with dogs over my lifetime, from canine good citizen, to flyball, to advanced therapy dog training. I’m Pet CPR + First Aid certified and insured through Pet Sitters Associates. I always carry a well-stocked pet first aid kit in my vehicle, as well as water, bowls, treats, blankets and crates so as to always be as prepared. I’m professional, reliable, punctual, responsible, trustworthy and pride myself on practicing clear and transparent communication. I'm located in the east Portland area between Happy Valley and Gresham, and service most all surrounding areas. In addition to working with dogs, I'm also a part-time jewelry artist and I work out of my home studio. I make my own schedule and usually, always available. I can schedule around most everything. At my home, I have three small rescue dogs that are a bonded pack. We utilize pet gates and dog run fencing in our fenced backyard. Open to small dogs for boarding and daycare.
About: My love for dogs goes way beyond just having one of my own. I’ve been a proud dog mom to Izzy, my sweet 65 lb companion, for nearly 7 years. Most recently, Over the years I’ve also cared for dogs of all shapes and sizes for friends and family, from tiny lap dogs to large breeds, so your pup is in experienced, loving hands no matter their size. I also have experience with reactive dogs. I treat every dog like my own because that’s genuinely just how I’m wired. Pet care fits naturally and genuinely into my everyday life. My schedule is built around flexibility and routine - which is great news for your dog! I’m available early mornings, midday, and can accommodate late evening needs after 7:30 PM so whether you need a morning walk before work or a midday check-in, I’ve got you covered. Dogs thrive on consistency and presence, and that’s exactly what I can offer. Your pup won’t just be a booking on my calendar they’ll be a welcome part of our day. Before any walk, I take a few minutes to connect with your pup and let them get comfortable with me no rushing, no stress. I believe a relaxed dog makes for a better and safer walk for everyone. I stick to dog-friendly routes through our neighborhood and nearby parks, always keeping your dog leashed and under close supervision. I’m experienced with both small and large breeds and know that every dog walks a little differently, some need a leisurely stroll, others need to burn some serious energy, and I’m happy to match whatever your dog needs that day. During every walk you can expect: • A safe, attentive walker who treats your dog like my own • Updates and photos so you know how the walk went • Plenty of sniff breaks because that’s half the fun for them! I genuinely love dogs and it shows. Your pup will come home happy, tired, and well cared for.
“Ash made me feel so comfortable being away from my cats for a long weekend. I was sent plenty of photos, including of a kitty in hiding, to reassure me they were all accounted for, which is always something I get anxious about. The house was exactly as we left it upon return, and all instructions were followed above and beyond. I’ll trust my cats with Ash anytime!”

About: Beyond the care of my own pets, I also regularly house, dog, cat, and chicken-sit for family friends and neighbors. I've spent my whole life around animals and have nurtured and cared for a variety of pets, including guinea pigs, dogs, cats, and fish. I graduate in June of this year and work a part-time job, so I will have more day-time availability in the summer. My shifts at my job are 4 to 8 hours, 3 to 4 days a week, and Fridays and Saturdays tend to be my most available days. I am open to any rules or directions you have for your pet. I have a deep respect for all animals and will love and care for them. As a pet-caregiver myself, I understand the bond between you and your pet and the protecting feeling that comes with it. I will do all I can to make sure you feel your pet is in good hands.
About: Hi I’m Payten! Ive been a dog owner since the day I was born, so I understand the dedication and commitment it takes to look after your beautiful pets and I’d love to help out! I’ve been a humane society volunteer and I started dog sitting unofficially in middle school for friends, family, and neighbors and I’ve decided to expand my services simply because I love and enjoy the company of dogs. I currently have two sweet puppers of my own and have had experience with a wide range of breeds and personalities over my life, so I can adapt to your pets needs. I promise to provide great service for you and your pet, just as I do my own two hooligans who practically run my household. I am an online college student and substitute teach on weekdays, which isn’t always guaranteed, so I can be flexible. I am fully available during the weekends! I will follow your care instructions perfectly as provided. I have had pets of my own for years, so I’m not stranger to different care needs.
About: What sets me apart from other sitters: We treat every guest dog like part of the family. Rather than just providing supervision, we integrate your dog into our daily routine and pack structure. This means your dog enjoys social time, structured play, and a calm, balanced environment—not just a place to stay. We understand canine body language and pack dynamics, which helps us introduce new dogs smoothly and safely. Whether your pup is full of energy or more reserved, we match their pace and make sure they feel at home. We also have experience with: -Senior dog care, including medication and mobility needs -Dogs with anxiety or who need extra reassurance -Multi-dog households and managing different temperaments We keep you updated with photos and notes, and always aim to return your dog even happier than when they arrived! I do typically work at 10am, so any hand offs after that time do need to be quick but can work. Anything before 10am I do have a bit of time to socialize and give same day tours. Since I work from home with a very flexible schedule, pet care fits seamlessly into my day. This allows me to provide regular potty breaks, scheduled meals, walks, and plenty of cuddle time or one-on-one attention whenever your dog needs it. Your dog will never be left waiting—whether it’s playtime with the pack, quiet rest, or extra snuggles. I’m able to quickly adjust to their needs throughout the day and keep a calm, consistent environment that makes them feel safe and loved. Being home most of the time means your pup will always have companionship and supervision, with frequent updates sent to keep you connected to their day. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and sense of belonging are our top priorities. We have a securely fenced yard where all dogs are always supervised during potty breaks and outdoor play. Inside, guest dogs don’t just stay downstairs—they’re fully integrated into our family routine and spend time alongside our boys in all common areas. Crates remain available and are used only if it suits each dog’s comfort and routine. We maintain a spotless environment—blankets, crates, toys, and dog beds are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between visits to ensure every pet has a fresh, safe space. Whether it’s playtime in the living room, cuddles on the couch, or lounge breaks in the quiet corners, your dog will feel like part of the pack in a calm, loving home.
About: I have two miniature Dachshunds who are my best friends. I deeply understand the need for someone trustworthy to not only care but also love your dog when you can’t. I’m here to help. I work 7 days on 7 days off. During my off time I’m home without any other responsibilities and have all day to take care of your best friend. I have a fenced yard and two friendly small dogs to keep your baby company. My dogs are free to roam the house, but also have a guest room for them to keep space if they need it.
About: I have been a pet owner for over 20 years and have taken care of a variety of pets, including dogs, cats, fish, and guinea pigs. I treat my own fur baby, Dexter, like my own child and I will do the same for yours! He’s my best friend, we do everything together & that’s exactly how I will treat your pup or kitty. I would love to take your fur baby on a nature hike, to the local coffee shop for a puppuccino, to a park to play fetch, or even just playing and lounging around the home. I am here to keep your pet safe and comfortable. Whatever works well and best for them. I work a full-time hybrid position, so my schedule can be flexible at times with advanced scheduling. I am typically able to interact with your fur child as much as needed! We can go on a short walk or hang out at home before I go to work, during my lunch break, and after I am off! Weekends are usually wide open availability. I am no longer offering boarding services at my home, however, I would love to check in on your pet at your home as much as needed. Due to having a pup of my own with his own needs, I will not be able to spend the night at your home. Please note, this prior to booking. I am only available for drop-in visits. Drop in visits typically range from 3-7 times per day, depending on your pet’s needs. I want to ensure your pet is comfortable and safe in the comfort of their home.
About: Growing up I had pets but my family has had up to 7 animals at a time some with arthritis some needing special care so I'd be more than happy to accommodate any of your pets needs. I have some vet tech training, which includes being trained to look for Animals behaviour to make sure everything's okay with them, dealing with all types of pets, and proper care. I do have a job Monday through Friday 6am to 230pm. I currently work Monday through Friday 6 to 230. Outside of that I can and will make your animal or house my priority. I do not have an animal at this time so I will not have any conflicts with trying to balance your animal with my own. I understand each person has unique rules and expectations for their animals and house. I will do my best to respect any guy lands, and we have full disclosure of anything. I do not think I will be capable of handling.
“Gema took great care of our little man (17 yr old dachshund/schnauzer rescue). She was sweet, patient, and super communicative while we were out of town. Will definitely welcome Gema back any time!”

“Hi Ronda! Jackson Galaxy says that cats will claim someone or something as their own by rubbing and leaving their scent. As shy as Freyja is, she's claimed you for her own (rubbing against your purse). That's really saying something! And the photo with Oogie hanging out with you on the head of your chair shows you two are buddies. We knew from the start that you are perfect for them and us, and we're thankful we found you. Now you might be wondering how they were when we came home. They woke up when they heard us and suddenly got the zoomies! Oogie had an excellent run on the kitty wheel, jumping off only to run away from Freyja! They played and grappled with each other and rubbing against us and more ruining on the wheel and more chasing. They don't even do that with catnip. Anyway, we had a great time and piece of mind that the ladies were in excellent hands. If this review is long and scattered, I'm JUST waking up (11:30 I think). Big hugs and big thank you! 😁🤗 Laurie PS Please tell your hubby he's more than welcome for the pizza. I'm so happy he enjoyed it. We'll try to have pizza before our trips from now on.”

“Corey is absolutely amazing. He goes above and beyond to care for our puppy, and Morhan ADORES him. We love having Corey as part of our family, and that's exactly how he treats us and our baby.”

“Michelle did a great job with her first drop-in visit for our two cats! Communication was excellent—she kept us updated with messages and photos, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. We could tell she was attentive and caring, and our cats seemed comfortable with her. Would definitely book her again!”

“As always Elizabeth is wonderful with my dogs and is available for last minute requests in addition to her daily dog walks. I would recommend her without hesitation. She treats my pups like her own.”
Fairview dog parents share their Rover experiences
Lilieana was so kind and gracious in the booking process. She also lives nearby so made everything pretty easy. The pups looked pleased on the pictures and are happy that we are home . Frankie sniffed around for a little while wondering if she was going to come back. Definitely a great sitter pick.

Michelle was absolutely amazing and a life saver! We had to leave town last minute to attend a family funeral and she was able to help our sweet boy Mr. Paul in a pinch! Michelle was also great about pivoting our request when funeral plans changed last minute. Can’t recommend her enough, she kept our boy happy and taken care of while we were gone!
Nathan was my first sitter on Rover and has set the bar high with his exceptional care for my two high energy dogs. He is flexible, caring, and accommodating to their unique needs. He is able to match their individual energy levels and play styles and tailor visits to their preferences. Nathan is communicative and overall a joy to work with.
