About: I have been caring for dogs For over 10 years, but in reality, i have always had pets in my life. I love animals and enjoy making sure they are happy, Safe, and well Cared for every day lincorporate pet care into my daily and weekly routine by scheduling walks and drop-in visits at times that are convenient for the pets and their owners. I make sure to provide consistent attention, playtime, and potty breaks, keeping the pets happy and safe throughout the week. I provide a safe and caring environment during walks and drop-in visits at the client's home. I make sure pets are never left unattended, follow the owner's instructions carefully, and ensure they have food, water, playtime, and potty breaks. Safety and trust are my top priorities.

About: I may be new to Rover, but I'm not new to working with dogs. My life revolves around dogs and has for many, many years. I run my own pet services business, Hounds of Love PDX, and bring a lifetime of experience in all areas including rescue, handling, walking, daycare, sitting, fostering, transporting and volunteering with local rescue organizations, as well as for Oregon Dog Rescue and Dove Lewis. I'm a small dog and senior advocate, and work with dogs of all sizes. I’ve always had an affinity for sighthounds(Greyhounds, Italian Greyhounds, etc), and understand their unique and sensitive nature well. I always put dogs first in every aspect of life, and feel they’re all part of my extended pack, and treat every dog as such. Safety is absolutely the top priority for me when working with pets. I’m always watching, listening and paying attention to their body language. I have a thorough understanding of dog behavior and know that each dog has a unique personality and needs, and that not all dogs are extroverts. In fact, many are quite the opposite. I’m naturally hyper-vigilant, yet focus on remaining kind, calm and confident when working with dogs, especially when out in the world. I’ve completed a variety of trainings with dogs over my lifetime, from canine good citizen, to flyball, to advanced therapy dog training. I’m Pet CPR + First Aid certified, as well as bonded and insured through Pet Sitters Associates. I always carry a well-stocked pet first aid kit in my vehicle, as well as water, bowls, treats, blankets and travel crates so as to always be as prepared. I’m professional, reliable, punctual, responsible, trustworthy and pride myself on practicing clear and transparent communication. I'm located in the East/SE Portland area, also near Happy Valley and Gresham, and I service most all surrounding areas. In addition to working with dogs, I'm also a part-time jewelry artist and I work out of my home studio. I make my own schedule and usually, always available. I can schedule around most everything. At my home, I have three small rescue dogs that are a bonded pack. We utilize pet gates in our one level, ranch style home, and dog run fencing in our large, fenced backyard. Open to small to small/medium dogs for boarding and daycare.

About: I have been a pet owner for over 20 years and have taken care of a variety of pets, including dogs, cats, fish, and guinea pigs. I treat my own fur baby, Dexter, like my own child and I will do the same for yours! He’s my best friend, we do everything together & that’s exactly how I will treat your pup or kitty. I would love to take your fur baby on a nature hike, to the local coffee shop for a puppuccino, to a park to play fetch, or even just playing and lounging around the home. I am here to keep your pet safe and comfortable. Whatever works well and best for them. I work a full-time hybrid position, so my schedule can be flexible at times with advanced scheduling. I am typically able to interact with your fur child as much as needed! We can go on a short walk or hang out at home before I go to work, during my lunch break, and after I am off! Weekends are usually wide open availability. I am no longer offering boarding services at my home, however, I would love to check in on your pet at your home as much as needed. Due to having a pup of my own with his own needs, I will not be able to spend the night at your home. Please note, this prior to booking. I am only available for drop-in visits. Drop in visits typically range from 3-7 times per day, depending on your pet’s needs. I want to ensure your pet is comfortable and safe in the comfort of their home.

About: Beyond the care of my own pets, I also regularly house, dog, cat, and chicken-sit for family friends and neighbors. I've spent my whole life around animals and have nurtured and cared for a variety of pets, including guinea pigs, dogs, cats, and fish. I graduated in June of this year, so I have more day-time availability this summer, however I do work a part-time job. My shifts at my job are 4 to 10 hours, 3 to 4 days a week, and Fridays and Tuesdays tend to be my most available days. I am open to any rules or directions you have for your pet. I have a deep respect for all animals and will love and care for them. As a pet-caregiver myself, I understand the bond between you and your pet and the protecting feeling that comes with it. I will do all I can to make sure you feel your pet is in good hands.

About: While I've grown up with dogs and cats, I also have professional pet sitting experience taking care of dogs with diabetes, blind cats, guinea pigs, and even a llama! Pets and their caretakers have trusted me so much, they have flown me to their new homes after moving out of state for further petsitting assignments. I give emotional connection and comfort to pets while they're missing their humans, even reading aloud to them, because I believe it is an integral part of the job. Currently, this is my primary work, so I will have time to spare to take care of your animals. I volunteer regularly at animal sanctuaries and other orgs to improve the lives of animals. I have typically been asked to spend the night with the pets in the client's home, and spend as much time with them as possible, but I can also make daily visits instead if necessary. If you prefer I make visits, keep in mind the distance it would take for me to get to your place, and consider allowing me to make fewer, longer visits instead of multiple brief ones throughout the day.

I do typically work at 10am, so any hand offs after that time do need to be quick but can work. Anything before 10am I do have a bit of time to socialize and give same day tours. Since I work from home with a very flexible schedule, pet care fits seamlessly into my day. This allows me to provide regular potty breaks, scheduled meals, walks, and plenty of cuddle time or one-on-one attention whenever your dog needs it. Your dog will never be left waiting—whether it’s playtime with the pack, quiet rest, or extra snuggles. I’m able to quickly adjust to their needs throughout the day and keep a calm, consistent environment that makes them feel safe and loved. Being home most of the time means your pup will always have companionship and supervision, with frequent updates sent to keep you connected to their day. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and sense of belonging are our top priorities. We have a securely fenced yard where all dogs are always supervised during potty breaks and outdoor play. Inside, guest dogs don’t just stay downstairs—they’re fully integrated into our family routine and spend time alongside our boys in all common areas. Crates remain available and are used only if it suits each dog’s comfort and routine. We maintain a spotless environment—blankets, crates, toys, and dog beds are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between visits to ensure every pet has a fresh, safe space. Whether it’s playtime in the living room, cuddles on the couch, or lounge breaks in the quiet corners, your dog will feel like part of the pack in a calm, loving home.

About: I’m a serious plant guy and have over 130 of my own house plants. I also set up drip irrigation in my yard. I love cats and would be happy to stop in to check on them, clean their litter boxes and give them water. I am an early riser so taking care of animals in the morning and evening works great for me. I am available all days of the week unless I am out of town. I would be happy to water or feed your plants as well as ensure humidifiers are full. I am happy to let your cats in or out, feed them, provide fresh water and clean litter boxes. I would love the opportunity to play with your cat and ensure they have somewhere to scratch.

I pride myself on the fact that I am talented at quickly acclimating animals to new environments and making them feel loved and comfortable. I truly love this work, and as a pet parent myself, I strive to care for each animal the same way I would want my own pet cared for. I currently work part-time as an animal care technician. So, I'm professionally trained on how to read animals' behavioral cues, understand signs of stress, and ensure comfort in unfamiliar environments. My husband works from home full-time and cares for the animals while I'm at work. Rest assured, they will never be alone for more than 2-4 hours during their stay with me. We go on walks three times a day (15 minutes each) and I feed them twice a day. During our meet and greet, I will also ask you about your own schedule with your dog to make sure I accommodate. My home is a dog paradise! I have a very spacious 2.6k square foot, two-story, 4 bedroom home with a fenced backyard with ample shade. The dogs are supervised 24/7, whether they're relaxing in my office with me, or sleeping in my room on their own dog bed. I have two twin-sized beds designated for dogs, crates for most sizes, 8 queen-sized soft blankets specifically for dogs (sherpa wool and fleece), and lots of toys and bones for them to play with. IMPORTANT: I cannot accept dogs who are not friendly with cats or small dogs. Specifically, if they are known to chase, bark at, swat or corner them.
