About: "As a dedicated and reliable pet caregiver, i will provide an experience tailored to your dog’s unique personality and needs. I understand that your dog is a beloved family member, which is why I prioritize maintaining their familiar routine—from specific feeding times and favorite walking routes to their preferred sleeping spots. Whether your pup is an energetic adventurer who needs plenty of playtime or a calm senior who appreciates gentle companionship and belly rubs, I offer attentive, one-on-one care in a safe and loving environment. You can travel with total peace of mind knowing I provide regular photo updates, clear communication, and the same level of affection I give my own pets. My goal is to ensure your dog stays happy, healthy, and tired out until your return!" As a part-time employed Mom and Grandma, I like to be busy and have time to spare for loving more than just my family and pets. At this moment, I have 3 dogs and two cats, all who need my personal attention several times a day. I would love to do that for you too. I know what it’s like to be stressed about your kitty or dog while away and I can help relieve that, even for just a day or a week.

About: I’m a seasoned house and pet sitter for friends, families, and—over the past year—through TrustedHousesitters. I’ve cared for everything from high‑energy puppies to senior pets who need a slower pace, medication reminders, or extra patience. Having my own pets with their own unique tendencies has made me great at reading an animal’s personality and adapting to what helps them feel safe and relaxed. I keep routines consistent, follow instructions closely, and treat your home with the same respect I give your pets. My goal is always to make sure your animals feel secure and cared for while you’re away, and that you feel fully at ease knowing they’re in good hands. Pet care fits really naturally into my week. I’m already out and about most mornings, so adding walks or drop‑ins feels like a comfortable part of my day. I plan my schedule so I’m never rushed, and when I’m with someone’s pet, they get my full attention — whether that’s a walk, playtime, or just some calm company. I’m used to building my day around animals, so their routine just becomes part of mine. I care for pets in their home the same way I care for my own — with consistency, attention, and a calm presence. I follow your routines so everything feels familiar to your pet, keep feeding and potty schedules on track, and make sure they get the right mix of walks, play, and quiet company. I’m also mindful of your home and keep things tidy, so you come back to a clean, relaxed space. When I’m with your pet, they get my full focus and a steady, reassuring person in their day.

About: I have always been told I have a special touch with animals. When you’re away you want more than a pet sitter, you want your best friend to get some quality time! Please know I work Thursday/Friday & Sunday/Monday from 10-6:15! Caring for animals is something I genuinely love, which means I’m happy to attend to what each pet needs to feel comfortable and cared for. I have a lot to offer when it comes to companionship, playtime, and a calm presence. For dog walks, I can accommodate your dog’s needs surrounding exercise, enrichment, and safety. I also send regular updates so you feel confident your pet is in good hands.

About: I've been around animals my whole life and genuinely love caring for them. I grew up with both cats and dogs, and over the years I've pet sat for family and friends, as well as walked dogs while I was in college. One of my favorite experiences was fostering cats with my husband—we came incredibly close to "foster failing" and adopting them ourselves! The only reason we didn't was because we were preparing to move abroad. Now that we're back home, we miss having animals in our daily lives, and Rover is the perfect way for me to spend time with pets while helping their owners. I'm an active person who played Division II soccer in college, so I'm always happy to take energetic dogs on long walks, runs, or adventures outside. Whether your pet loves playing, exploring, or just curling up for some company, I'm happy to meet them where they're most comfortable. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, and I'll care for your pets as if they were my own. My goal is to make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while giving you complete peace of mind. My schedule is flexible since I work as a freelance Project Manager. Mondays and Fridays are typically my most open days, but with a little advance notice, I'm often able to accommodate visits throughout the rest of the week as well. I also work from home several days a week, which gives me the flexibility to stop by for drop-in visits, walks, or check-ins during the day if you're located in the Vancouver area. If you have a specific schedule in mind, feel free to reach out—I'm happy to see if we can make it work! I'm happy to offer a wide range of Rover services, including drop-in visits, dog walking, house sitting, and pet daycare in your home. At this time, I'm not able to host pets in my own home, but I'm more than happy to come to yours. I believe pets are often happiest and most comfortable in their own familiar environment, where they can stick to their normal routine. My goal is to provide dependable, attentive care so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is safe, well cared for, and getting plenty of love while you're away.

About: If you are looking for a pet sitter who genuinely loves animals and provides a safe, active environment, you are in the right place! I have years of experience caring for a wide variety of animals—from dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes to chickens and other small critters. Animals are a natural part of my life, and I know exactly how to tailor my care to fit your pup's unique personality, whether they are high-energy zoomers or low-key cuddlers. To give you extra peace of mind: I spent years being trusted by families as a nanny for three different households. You can rest assured that your beloved furry family member is in incredibly capable, highly responsible hands. The best part? A fenced yard! We have a spacious, securely fenced yard with plenty of room to run. Whether your dog wants to burn off energy playing fetch or prefers to leisurely sniff around and lounge in the fresh air, they will absolutely love the outdoor space we have to offer. Working from home gives me total flexibility to adapt to your dog's established routine. I am here throughout the day to provide constant supervision, mid-day desk cuddles, and frequent potty breaks in the yard. Your pup will enjoy a highly attentive, stress-free day that perfectly balances companionable downtime with plenty of active outdoor play. I believe trust is built through absolute transparency and a controlled environment, which is why I only host one or two compatible dogs at a time. Our home is a calm, secure haven, free from the chaos of large kennels, where your dog's unique safety needs are closely monitored. To keep you connected, I provide consistent, detailed updates and photos so you always know they are safe, happy, and thriving.

Autumn was so amazing with our boys! We were nervous about finding someone to watch our two boys over the holidays since they are a bit roudy, and we could not have been happier with how Autumn took care of them like they were her own. She was punctual, responsive, and sent updates regularly. I kid you not our boys were depressed when we got home because they loved Autumn so much haha! About: Hello, I’m Fran—a devoted dog lover and experienced guardian offering a highly personalized, in-home care experience for a select few dogs at a time. When you’re away, I offer your dog more than just care—I provide a true holiday of their own. Each dog is welcomed into a calm, thoughtfully held environment where they are not just looked after, but genuinely known, understood, and cherished. I believe we don’t own our pets—we’re entrusted with them. My role is to ensure every dog in my care feels safe, happy, and deeply loved, with a sense of ease and belonging. Over the years, I’ve cared for dogs of all breeds, ages, and temperaments. Each one arrives with their own story and personality, and it’s a joy to watch them settle in, open up, and truly thrive. Because I work with a limited number of families, I’m able to offer an experience that is unhurried, intuitive, and deeply personal—something both dogs and their people can feel completely at ease with. If you’re seeking a more intentional, personalized experience for your dog, I invite you to get in touch and explore availability. I understand schedules vary and sometimes life presents surprises where we need to find someone to care for our beloved pup at the last minute. I work remotely with a flexible schedule. Let me help you when you need it most. Every day, I plan activities to engage their brains and exercise their bodies, often involving adventures through the neighborhood, trips to the fenced dog park, and visits to the river on hot days. At the end of the day, we enjoy healthy treats that I prepare myself, which also engage their brains and senses. I live in Vancouver, Washington, with my 8-year-old black lab mix, Murphy, who loves humans and other dogs and is non-aggressive. My home is well-maintained with a large deck where dogs can play and relax.I work from home which means your 'kids' are never left alone for long periods.

About: I’ve been fostering and caring for dogs since I was in high school - Cats even longer, since I grew up with cats my whole life. I got a job as a dog bather in 2017 and then became an apprentice Dog Groomer in 2021! I work 6 hours a day on average for the city of Vancouver, so my schedule is pretty flexible! Open availability on the weekends and Mondays I get off work early! I have plenty of experience with caring for animals and have helped managed a shifting rotation of multiple dogs in one household that didn’t get along utilizing crates, gated areas and schedules.

About: Hi there! 🐾 I’m an animal lover who truly believes pets are part of the family. I’m caring, patient, responsible, and will treat your pets with the same love and attention I’d want for my own. Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, cuddles, medication, or simply some company while you’re away, I’m happy to help! I’ll take the time to learn your pet’s personality, routine, and individual needs so they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re gone. I know how important it is to feel confident that your pets are in good hands, and I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your furry family member is happy and well cared for. I’m also respectful of your home and will leave everything just as I found it. I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your pets and become someone you can trust for all your pet-sitting needs! 🐶🐱❤️ I am currently available every day and have an open schedule. I available most nights as well and can house sit overnight as well. Dip in visits and walking services can be any time needed! I currently live in an apartment with a cat so I would have to take care of the animal at their house. I have crate trained dogs before so can crate animals if needed

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Dog Sitting in Vancouver on Rover is $19.98 per visit (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Dog Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Dog Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 6,301 sitters on Rover offering Dog Sitting across Vancouver. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Vancouver stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Vancouver choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Vancouver with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Vancouver. On Rover:

  • 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
