We’re Mindy and Daniel, a two-person pet-care team. After more than 200 Rover reviews and dozens of repeat clients, one thing has become very clear: the best care comes from paying attention to the animal in front of you. Some pets want a long, sniffy walk and a spot on the couch. Some need a little extra patience before they decide we’re friends. Others mostly want dinner served correctly and their humans home immediately, please. We genuinely enjoy learning each pet’s quirks and figuring out what helps them feel comfortable. For boarding and day care, we care for one client household at a time. There are no unfamiliar animals rotating through the apartment, so pets get a quieter environment, their familiar routines, and two humans who know exactly who they’re caring for. You can expect: • One household at a time for boarding and day care • A daily photo update after morning care • Experience with seniors, anxiety, reactivity, and special needs • Oral and injected medication experience • Respectful, tidy care in your home • Honest communication and clear expectations • A warm welcome for multi-pet families We’re home often, but standard care is not round-the-clock supervision. Dogs staying with us or receiving house sitting should generally be comfortable alone for up to four hours at a time. If your pet needs someone present nearly continuously, limited constant-care arrangements may be available by custom quote. We also offer a photography add-on with three to five polished, print-quality portraits. Just ask if you’d like something a little more special than the usual phone snapshots!

Honest, kind, and thoughtful sitters. We trust them with our sweet Tiki even when we’re beyond the range of cell phone reception. Very grateful for their consistent care and consideration. Their pet photography is excellent as well and we have a little note from them taped up on our fridge.

Schedule
Pet care is already the center of our workweek. Because there are two of us, we can coordinate boarding, house sitting, walks, and visits without making every pet’s day feel rushed. Mornings begin with food, medications, potty or litter care, and whatever kind of attention the pet enjoys. We usually send client updates after morning care, around 10 a.m. From there, we plan the day around the pets already booked while leaving enough room for walks, outdoor breaks, play, and ordinary downtime. We are home often, but not continuously. For boarding, day care, and dog house sitting, pets should generally be comfortable alone for up to four hours unless we agree on something different beforehand. Walks and drop-ins are usually scheduled within a natural two-hour arrival window. Exact-time visits are reserved for medications or arrangements we have specifically confirmed.

Safety, trust & environment
We host one client household at a time, so pets are never sharing our home with unfamiliar Rover guests. Our apartment is quiet and has no resident pets. Because the outdoor area is unfenced, dogs remain leashed for potty breaks and neighborhood walks. We follow the routines you give us, keep doors and windows secure, and pay close attention to escape risks, reactivity, medications, and changes in behavior or appetite. In a client’s home, we are careful with the space, clean up after ourselves, and leave things as we found them. During standard boarding and house sitting, dogs may be left alone for up to four hours at a time unless we have discussed an exception. Pets who cannot be alone for more than an hour require constant care, which is limited by availability and starts at $200 per 24-hour period on Rover. For walks and drop-ins, we generally arrive within a two-hour window unless an exact time has been agreed upon. Clear expectations make everything easier, so we would always rather talk through a need beforehand than discover it in the middle of a booking!
A typical day
A typical day starts with breakfast, medications if needed, and the first potty break or litter check. After that, we follow the pet’s lead! That might mean a sniffy neighborhood walk, a little playtime, quiet company on the couch, or some respectful distance while a shy cat considers our application for friendship. We send a photo update after morning care so you know how things are going. The rest of the day includes regular outdoor breaks, meals, walks or light enrichment, and plenty of time to relax. We don’t try to keep pets entertained every minute; rest and familiarity are often what help them settle in best. Evenings follow the pet’s usual dinner, medication, potty, and bedtime rhythm. We use your routine as the starting point and make sensible adjustments based on the pet in front of us.

- Please give us the honest version of your pet, not their best-behaved résumé. The more we know before care begins, the better we can set everyone up for a good experience. We’d like to know about feeding, medications, potty habits, sleeping arrangements, favorite activities, household rules, and how long your pet is normally comfortable alone. Please also tell us about separation anxiety, destructive behavior, door-dashing, escape attempts, bite history, resource guarding, or reactivity toward people or other animals. None of those details is automatically a dealbreaker. Surprises are the hard part. Please disclose indoor and outdoor cameras or monitoring systems before service begins. We also need to know about exact-time medication requirements or any expectation that someone remain with your pet continuously so we can confirm availability and quote the correct service. We have two kind, animal-loving teenagers who may occasionally join us for a walk or visit, but only with your approval. If your pet prefers an adults-only environment, just let us know; we are happy to accommodate!
