I’ve taken care of animals since I was very young either caring for my own or for a neighbor’s. My love for animals carried over into my adult life where I was in charge of a pet dorm in college and then continuing to own and care for my own pets. I’ve raised kittens and puppies teaching them manners and potty training. I have experience with giving both cats and dogs medication and I have experience with caring for geriatric dogs.

When caring for your pets at your home, respecting their space is always at top of mind. Keeping them comfortable and sticking with a routine allows for less stress on them when you’re away. I have a fenced in yard with plenty of space to run around and play. I have two dogs who are used to playing with others and two cats who know how to set boundaries. I have extra crates if needed.

Kathleen is absolutely amazing! Cleo, my cat, was born feral, so she's very timid. Historically that was always fine, but unfortunately she needs daily meds now. Our first cat sitter never got anywhere near Cleo, so I was expecting that Cleo would never get any meds while I was out of town. Incredibly though, Kathleen was able to bond with my shy girl. Cleo even started seeking her out for affection. ❤️ During my trip, I had a new form of Cleo's medicine delivered and - although neither I nor Kathleen had ever used the type of device it came in - Kathleen figured out how to use it and switched over to the new method without a hitch. I've also always felt bad about asking anyone else to clean our kitty litter box for me, so I told Kathleen she didn't need to mess with it, but she insisted. 😀 I don't go out of town a lot, but for any and all future trips, Kathleen will definitely be my 1st (and 2nd, 3rd, and 4th) choice. Accept no substitutes. 😁
Kathleen was amazing! Our cat was well taken care of and adapted well to her visits. We felt comfortable with her and enjoyed the daily photos and updates. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire her next time we’re out of town.

Schedule
I work from home and have a flexible schedule. I fit enrichment, play time and walks in throughout my day and we always have dinner on time. For drop in visits, I make it a priority that drop in times are always around the same day part within a 2 hour window so your pet can keep a routine while you’re away.
