As a dog owner myself, I understand how important it is to trust someone with your dog’s care. I bring a calm, dependable presence and treat every dog as an individual, meeting them where they are—energy level, personality, and needs included. I’m easy-going and patient, with a genuine love and appreciation for dogs of all kinds. Whether your dog enjoys longer walks, hikes, dog park time, or just a quick potty break and some companionship, I tailor each visit to what helps them feel comfortable and content. I have experience with both puppies and senior dogs. I’ve put my own younger dog through multiple training classes and understand the importance of reinforcing routines, commands, and good habits. I’m also comfortable administering medication and slowing things down for senior pups who need extra care and attention. Both of my dogs are rescues, which has made me especially mindful of dogs who may be anxious, sensitive, or adjusting to new people. I prioritize patience, consistency, and reassurance—particularly for dogs who feel stressed when their humans are away.

I’m attentive to cues like body language, energy levels, and stress signals, and I adjust care as needed. Safety always comes first: secure leashes and harness checks, awareness of surroundings on walks, and clear communication if anything feels off. I respect your home as I would my own and follow instructions carefully, knowing trust is earned through consistency and follow-through.

Shad is the perfect sitter for my dog Wriggley
Shad did a great job looking after our pups (4). He was in contact with us daily with a few short notes and photos to let us know all were well. When we came home, the house was as we left it and wagging tails. I would definitely give Shad a call back.
Shad was great! He was communicative and house sat for our two dogs while we had a family trip away. Our dogs were so happy and Shad made the experience seamless and I didn’t worry about the pups at all while we were gone. We definitely will be using Shad again in the future.

I work full-time from home during the week, which gives me a flexible and predictable schedule for walks, drop-ins, and check-ins throughout the day. I’m generally available mornings, mid-day, and early evenings, and I’m off on weekends—so your dog gets consistent care, not rushed gaps between obligations. I plan my day around the dogs I’m caring for, making sure walks and visits fit naturally into a calm, steady routine.
