Shianne was fantastic! This was our second booking with Shianne and our dog was so happy to see her! Shianne has everything we would want in a dog walker - clear communication, patience and skill with dogs, warmth and professionalism. I'll definitely look to Shianne any time I can't walk my own dog in the future.

Annalei is great at communicating information and responds very quickly to messages. It had been a while since our pup had been walked by someone other than us but our dog recognized Annalei right away from a few years ago and eagerly went on a walk with her. Annalei is very kind and patient and we felt so comfortable (and grateful she came all the way back to our neighborhood) to walk our dog.

About: What sets me apart is my experience, reliability, and genuine love for animals. I’ve been pet sitting since middle school and have cared for cats and dogs with different personalities and needs. I’m calm, patient, and detail-oriented, and I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for. Owners have especially appreciated my communication, reliability, and the peace of mind I provide through regular updates and photos. Pet care fits easily into my weekly routine because I have a very flexible schedule. I’m completely free on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and most weekends, with Thursday availability after 5 PM. This allows me to be flexible with walks, drop-ins, and house sitting. I enjoy spending plenty of time with the pets I care for rather than simply stopping by, and I’m happy to work around their routines, feeding schedules, walks, and individual needs. My availability also makes it easy for me to provide consistent care and regular updates while their owners are away. I treat every pet and home with the same care and respect I would want for my own. In a client’s home, I follow their instructions and their pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, playtime, medications if needed, and any specific house rules. I’m very attentive to safety and details, and I make sure pets are comfortable, supervised, and never left in an unsafe situation. I also keep owners updated with photos and messages so they always know how their pets are doing. My goal is for both the pets and their owners to feel safe, comfortable, and completely at ease while they’re away.

Our dog doesn't have a lot of experience with sitters, and Allison knew just how to patiently interact with her as she warmed up to her new friend. We're also going through a house move, so our pup and cats are going through lots of change. It feels good to know that Allison brings the experience we need as an animal lover.

With a lifelong passion for animals and years of hands on experience caring for dogs of all breeds and ages, I’ve created a safe, enriching environment where your pup can play, explore, and feel right at home. At Floppy Paws' Playground, dogs enjoy structured playtime with toys, ropes, and games of fetch, as well as plenty of outdoor time to run, sniff, and socialize. Whether your dog loves high energy activities or prefers a slower pace, I tailor each day to meet their individual needs. My commitment to care goes beyond play. I prioritize safety, cleanliness, and clear communication. I'm readily available throughout the day and evening for updates or questions, ensuring peace of mind while your pet is in my care. I look forward to welcoming your dog to Floppy Paws' Playground, where fun meets thoughtful, professional care. Pet care is a central part of my daily routine. I adhere to specific instructions for feeding, administering medications, and exercise, while also offering companionship and mental stimulation as needed. In addition to pet care, I take pride in maintaining a clean and tidy environment. This includes tasks such as cleaning litter boxes, ensuring pet areas are organized, and leaving the home in the same condition it was found. I understand the importance of clear communication, so I provide regular updates and can easily be reached for any questions or concerns throughout the duration of the pet care service.

About: I have a very positive personality that I bring out in all work that I do. I am a practicing Speech Language Pathologist with a 3 year old pup of my own—Louie. I have taken care of pets through rover, as well as used it for my own pet care needs. I moved around the Portland area a bit, so I took a break from Rover, but now my life is more settled and I’m happy to take your fur-babies on walks, or drop in! I live in Mountain Park and would be happy to cover any “last minute” dog needs that you have. My schedule will allow for 1-3 walks/drop in visits per day. My most availability is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I pride myself in being thorough and paying attention to detail. I will follow any and all instructions that you provide. Having a dog of my own, I can supply poop bags and treats if necessary.

About: Nothing is more important than your furbaby’s safety and happiness! For dogs, I understand leash control, situational awareness, and the value of structured walks. I’m happy to follow your handling instructions so your pet’s routine stays consistent. I have completed clicker training along with foundation and advanced canine fitness courses. For cats, I know they need gentle, calm, and stress-free care. I have experience caring for cats with different personalities and am familiar with cat behavior and body language. I provide reliable drop-in visits that prioritize your cat’s comfort and individual needs. My work as a pet photographer has given me a lot of hands-on experience with dogs and cats of all temperaments. I read their body language well and know how to help them feel relaxed and at ease in new situations. I work from home, so my schedule is very flexible. I’m available on weekends from 8am–4pm, and weekdays work too with at least one day’s notice. Tell me what times you’re looking for, and I’ll accommodate as much as possible. I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, and cat sitting services. Dogs get structured walks with time to sniff and light play. Cats receive interactive play, enrichment, and calm attention based on what they enjoy. I always follow the owner’s instructions and respect each pet’s comfort level. Feeding is included as part of your pet’s regular routine, and my focus is on keeping pets happy, comfortable, and stress-free.

About: I’ve been an animal lover my entire life! I have a medically complex cat, so I’m very experienced with giving pills and administering medications. As a pet owner myself, I understand how stressful it can feel to be away from your pet. My goal is to care for your animal with the same attention and genuine care I give my own, so you can feel confident they’re in good hands. I’m currently a medical student at Oregon Health & Science University completing a dedicated research year, which gives me a flexible schedule throughout much of the week. Taking dogs on walks or spending time with animals has become one of my favorite ways to step away from studying, get outside, and recharge, so I’d love for your pet to join me! Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and any special instructions before every visit. Whether I'm walking your dog or caring for your pet in your home, I make sure they have fresh water, plenty of attention, playtime, and a positive experience. I always keep cats indoors and dogs leashed unless instructed otherwise in a secure, designated area. I also provide owners with regular updates with photos so you can have peace of mind while you're away.

My ex and I share custody of our dog - when I knew she was coming to stay for a long stretch and I had to go into work while she was here, I hired Skyler for two weeks of walking/drop-ins. My older lady & Skyler got on just fine - Skyler exhibited excellent communication, was on time for walks, and Annie really seemed to enjoy spending time with her. I would not hesitate to book Skyler again in the future.

About: PLEASE NOTE: still available to be booked if you are going away for the 4th of July!! I’ve been around animals my entire life, bunnies cats, dogs and horses for the most part. I absolutely adore animals. I used to work at a doggy day care and had 140 dogs on the busiest day! Ive been dog sitting for a couple years now! I just recently hopped back onto rover due to getting a new job but with a pay cut and been meaning to start up a second job again! what better way to make some extra money then hanging out with animals ☺️☺️I live in happy Valley and work in Milwaukee , so I prefer to work around the area I live in, but I’m also happy to drive a ways away if it’s a great fit! My living situation doesn’t allow for me to have other animals in my home. I prefer to go to my clients homes for boardings, I want the animals to be in an environment that they’re comfortable and feel safe in!!

For the last 1.5 years, Sequoia has been adding joy to my dog’s life with all her adventurous walks. Not only does Sequoia send me updates about how my dog (Laika) did that day, she also adds little but important details about their walk together! This lets me imagine what a great time Laika had on her walk. A happy dog makes for a very happy dog-mom, and I don’t feel quite as guilty while at work. Thanks, Sequoia, for being so wonderful! We appreciate all you do.

  • 95% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
