I work for myself with a very flexible schedule (last minute bookings are no problem). I'm very active - I love walking or running with your pooch (whichever (s)he's up for), & more. What's on the table for the day will vary & depend on the mood & pup. Long (or short or multiple) walks/runs, playing fetch, grooming/brushing, or quality down time together, either cuddling up on the couch with a good book or catching up on Netflix! In summer, I enjoy community events, such as movies & concerts in the park. My pooch would come everywhere possible. Portland is an amazing city.. there are so many great places & each neighborhood is unique & inviting & wonderful to explore with canine friends. Over the years, I've been lucky to have shared my home with cats, lizards, & many dogs - my last pooch, Kira, was a beautiful, gentle, & loving Rottweiler mix - she recently passed at 13 & my heart still aches. I've been volunteering for the humane society for many years & absolutely love working with the animals there. I walk dogs & do light training while at the shelter. I also often have a foster dog. My fosters have lived with me anywhere from 1 week to 8 months. Usually they have some type of ailment which requires attention while they heal. I've also taken many classes at OHS, such as dog behavior, reactive rover, & t-touch for dogs. I prefer to schedule meet-and-greets before a stay. It allows me the opportunity to meet the animal(s) that I’m going to be taking care of beforehand & make sure that we’re a good fit for one another. It also gives me an opportunity to start collecting as much information as I can about your them & what makes them tick. I always try to design a walk/dropin/stay around your animal & their needs, so I’m all ears for any relevant information that would make our time together great!
