“What a lovely young woman. Confident, kind, loving toward my animals. I Will definitely have Parrish take care of them again. They loved her and this was such a load off my mind!”
About: I’ve been taking care of my friend’s dogs for a couple years. Whether that’s walking them, feeding them, taking them out to go potty, I am completely experienced in all of those fields. Having had a dog of my own for 6 years, I know how to handle any sort of situation and how to be flexible with other dogs wants and needs. I have plenty of time this summer to help out and play with your pups! I’m available Mon-Fri after 12p and I’m willing to be flexible with times/days! I always make sure my dog’s food and water is filled and put pee pads down when I know I’m going to be away from the house for a little while. Before I start walking my dog I always make sure I have doggy bags filled and sometimes I’ll bring a rubber water bowl for hotter days.
About: I have always loved animals and genuinely enjoy caring for pets as if they were my own. I currently have a 1-year-old dog, and I have also owned two beagles in the past, so I understand the care, patience, and attention pets need at every stage. I am reliable, attentive, and comfortable helping with walks, feeding, playtime, check-ins, and companionship. I also understand how important routines are and will carefully follow your instructions to make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and loved while you are away. I work from home Monday through Friday, which gives me flexibility to provide attentive and reliable care throughout the week. I am able to help with walks, feeding, playtime, check-ins, and companionship during the day. Because I am home often, your pet will receive plenty of attention and will not be left alone for long periods of time. I have a fenced yard where dogs can safely enjoy outdoor time, play, and stretch their legs. I also have a friendly 1-year-old dog, so your pet may have a companion if they are comfortable around other dogs. I always make safety a priority and will follow your instructions regarding feeding, walks, routines, crate use, and any special care needs. Your pet will be treated with kindness, patience, and love while in my care.
“Angela is a lovely person who our dog loved! And he is not like that with anyone so I think he sensed she’s a true animal lover! She is punctual, provided detailed reports for walks, and she made communication super easy. I highly recommend Angela for your fur babies!”

About: I have been caring for pets my entire life. I currently have two family dogs, and we just recently lost our cat. You can trust me to take great care of your pet(s). I have a flexible schedule with lots of availability this summer prior to going to college. I am happy to work with you to accommodate your schedule. For our dogs, I walk them, feed, and spend quality time with them. I have had experience with a ton of dog breeds and temperaments.
“Our dog doesn't have a lot of experience with sitters, and Allison knew just how to patiently interact with her as she warmed up to her new friend. We're also going through a house move, so our pup and cats are going through lots of change. It feels good to know that Allison brings the experience we need as an animal lover.”

About: I worked at a vet clinic for 3.5 years but due to life changes I now work at a pet store and petsit to continue to work with animals while I work towards my goal of working in vet med again. I’m reliable with my own transportation and am very knowledgeable in proper pet care. I am communicative, compassionate, and attentive to animals and their needs. I have been my own friends’ and family’s pet sitter for the past 5 years and I treat every animal as if they were my own while in my care. My whole life revolves around animals; I have 4 cats of my own and have fostered 15 animals successfully in the past year, ranging from cats of all ages, dogs, and Guinea pigs. I also work directly with animals at my job and am looking to continue that path. I have multiple rooms in my home to separate the animals in my care if needed, I have access to professional services if an emergency were to arise while also having knowledge of what to look for in with different medical conditions that can be present in animals. I have a good understanding of animal behavior and I understand their needs.
About: Hi, I’m Mary! I live in West Linn and genuinely love spending time with dogs—whether that’s getting outside for a walk or just keeping them company at home. I started pet sitting because I enjoy the routine, the movement, and of course the dogs themselves. It never feels like “work” to me. I understand how important it is to feel completely comfortable leaving your pet in someone else’s care. I’m dependable, easy to communicate with, and I’ll always keep you updated with photos and little notes so you know how your dog is doing. I take the time to learn your dog’s personality and routine so they feel relaxed, safe, and well cared for. I’d love to meet you and your pup! I am retired, giving me a flexible schedule that easily accommodates daily walks and dependable, consistent pet care, so your pets feel loved every single day. I have decades of dog-care experience, from puppies to seniors, I provide dependable dog walking and drop-in services. Now retired, I focus on creating a safe, positive experience that keeps your dog happy and refreshed.
About: I have a very positive personality that I bring out in all work that I do. I am a practicing Speech Language Pathologist with a 3 year old pup of my own—Louie. I have taken care of pets through rover, as well as used it for my own pet care needs. I moved around the Portland area a bit, so I took a break from Rover, but now my life is more settled and I’m happy to take your fur-babies on walks, or drop in! I live in Mountain Park and would be happy to cover any “last minute” dog needs that you have. My schedule will allow for 1-3 walks/drop in visits per day. My most availability is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I pride myself in being thorough and paying attention to detail. I will follow any and all instructions that you provide. Having a dog of my own, I can supply poop bags and treats if necessary.
“Monica was very sweet with our little girl, showed up on time, and payed attention to details. We live in a condo with several different instructions on how to get int to the place and a gate code to leave and enter back onto the property. She never asked questions after the instructions were given! She got “it” the first time. She is bright and attentive, and again was very good to our little dog! I will have her back when I need a dog walker OR house sitter.”

About: As well as having my own dog growing up, I’ve taken care of my friend’s dogs and love them like my own! I work part time and am available to spend time with your dog anytime after 9 am Tuesday through Saturday and all day Sundays and Mondays! Perfect for taking your dog out for a mid day walk while you’re at work! 👌🏼 My highest priority when taking care of your dog is safety. About: Hi! Searching for someone to look after your fur babies? Whether it’s walking, bathing, feeding, playing, or spending the night, I’ve got you covered! I have taken care of dogs for 1 year now. I began with my mom’s clients, and now I am expanding to Rover. I know how important these little guys can be to one’s family, so I pour my all into my time with your pets. I am looking forward to meeting your fur babies! I am great with high energy pets, and I love to get close to those shy guys. I am taking full time online classes at PCC, so I am unemployed this summer. The classes are asynchronous, so I am able to work around you! I do plan on starting my CNA classes in August, which is around 8 hours a day, but I will update my availability when that time comes. I am basically available whenever I am needed. I know it can be scary for both you and your pets to let a stranger into your home, but my mission is to make your pets as comfortable as possible. I approach pets according to their specific needs. I follow whatever routine is necessary, and will go above and beyond to make your pet’s time with me the best it can be. I pay close attention to their behavior, and I adapt.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Shadowood
Coming home to a happy, relaxed dog made all the difference. Finding someone you trust with your pet is extremely important, and we feel incredibly fortunate to have found Marissa. We would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for exceptional care for their dog.
Here’s a natural, Rover-style review you could post: Christopher was absolutely fantastic with our dog. From the moment we met him, it was clear that he genuinely loves and cares about animals. He was always on time, communicative, and went above and beyond during every visit. He took our dog on great walks around the neighborhood and even picked up the pace and ran with him when he wanted to run, which our dog absolutely loved. We came home to a happy, well-exercised pup every time. Christopher was reliable, attentive, and treated our dog like his own. We’ve used several dog walkers over the years, and Christopher is easily the best we’ve ever had. We wouldn’t hesitate to book him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for exceptional care for their dog.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
