About: Having grown up on a 20 acre farm for most of my life, I have cared for all shapes and sizes of animals - from horses to snakes, and everything in between! When I moved into an apartment for college, I missed the "dog energy" in our household and set to volunteering hundreds of hours at the Humane Society, which also included basic training skills and walking the most aggressive 100+lb leash pullers. This later evolved into working at a veterinary clinic where I was trained to monitor recovering animals and administer medications safely and with as little stress as possible through Fear Free certification. Animal body language is my second language! I love the outdoors as much as the indoors, and am more than happy to accommodate medical needs. ♡ If you would like extras taken care of during your pets stay or our visit, such as bathing, grooming, nail trims, or a run, just let me know! My dog, Leo, and I are constantly going on hikes and we are more than happy to tucker your pups out with a day trip, just reach out for rates. I currently work as a Braille Librarian for the state and used to teach Low Vision/Blind learners, and I am also fluent in American Sign Language (ASL), so I have a soft spot for dogs that may be Deaf, Blind, or DeafBlind. To top it all off, I am working on weaseling my way into Guide Dog puppy raising, and all the training tips that come along with that. ( : I commute to Salem Wednesday and Friday, which means my schedule during those days is usually pretty limited to anything after 430pm. Otherwise, my weekends are typically completely free and ready to be filled with whatever your fur babies need! “Everyone reported that Alyssa was really good with my brats. My SIL was really impressed with Alyssa's attire, where she had leashes, treats, doggie bags. My neighbors were quite impressed by the way she handled my dogs, and talked to them. My dogs seemed happy. Hopefully Alyssa would not mind coming back and caring for our dogs in the future. While I never really had the pleasure of meeting Alyssa, based on these reports I would love to hire her in the fall term 2-3 days a week.”
About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for friends, family and neighbors. I also have volunteered at a local dog rescue, and I would walk dogs. I also volunteered for a cat shelter where I would clean and assist in enrichment activities for the cats. I am currently working a remote part time job. About: I have a very positive personality that I bring out in all work that I do. I am a practicing Speech Language Pathologist with a 3 year old pup of my own—Louie. I have taken care of pets through rover, as well as used it for my own pet care needs. About: I’ve taken care of my dog since I was 10 and begged my parents for him. I adore all dogs and will treat yours like my own. I love being active and playing with dogs. This past year I’ve volunteered to walk dogs at the local shelter too. I am a student athlete in college, so responsibility and care is something I understand very well. I am a hard worker and will communicate every step of the way. I am a college student with a very flexible schedule and I am also starting summer break soon. Annalei is great at communicating information and responds very quickly to messages. It had been a while since our pup had been walked by someone other than us but our dog recognized Annalei right away from a few years ago and eagerly went on a walk with her. Annalei is very kind and patient and we felt so comfortable (and grateful she came all the way back to our neighborhood) to walk our dog.
Caitlin and her boyfriend Aleksander did a wonderful job walking our two huskies. They have also house sat for us before and did an exceptional job. Appreciate their responsiveness and thoroughness! One of our girls recently had surgery and the other is elderly; both require specialized care. Caitlin and Aleksander listened carefully to their unique needs and took great care of them. Thankful for the peace of mind knowing they were in good hands while we were away. Highly recommend!
Monica was very sweet with our little girl, showed up on time, and payed attention to details. We live in a condo with several different instructions on how to get int to the place and a gate code to leave and enter back onto the property. She never asked questions after the instructions were given! She got “it” the first time. She is bright and attentive, and again was very good to our little dog! I will have her back when I need a dog walker OR house sitter.
