I am an animal person who has been a pet parent to many cats, large dogs, and small birds. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and activity and socialization needs. From sassy corgis to excitable labradoodle puppies, I'm sure your fur baby and I will get along wonderfully. I also have experience caring for senior pets with specialized medication and dietary needs, and maintaining consistent, disciplined training regimens for puppies learning the ropes, including clicker and nonverbal command training. While I have only owned small birds myself, I am comfortable around larger birds and am confident preparing chop, monitoring fly time, supporting preening, and maintaining training sessions. I also have experience administering oral medication to small birds.

Safety, trust & environment
The safety and well-being of your pet is my top priority. This means that in addition to providing photos and updates of your pet while you are away, I will be proactive in contacting you if anything concerning arises. If you have cats, this means I won't let them outside unless it is a secured space. I also require the information for both your primary and preferred emergency vet for all pets. (I have never needed to contact someone's vet while pet-sitting, but I prefer to always be prepared!)

Amelia did an amazing job caring for our 3 cats for various trips we have taken. She is very experienced with cats and did a good job looking out for both their physical and emotional health. She was also able to manage our cats' more complex needs (one of them needs to be separated from the others at all times), while still giving them all lots of attention. She also did a great job house sitting for us during our trips. The house stayed clean and was well cared for while we were away. Amelia clearly cares a lot about our animals and has been a huge help for us while we were traveling.
We had a great first experience with Amelia! She was punctual, friendly, and respectful. We really appreciate her taking the time to get to know Pochi and understand her personality during their walk. Looking forward to having Amelia house sit for us in November!
Amelia is a dedicated pet sitter every time I have asked for her assistance. I know she helps several other friends and acquaintances with their very specific pet rituals and round the clock care when needed. She’s very honest and bends over backwards to make sure both my kitty and I am comfortable with the care she receives in my stead. I’d recommend her pet sitting services to anyone.

The company I previously worked for recently downsized, so while I am on the job search I have a very flexible schedule to accommodate you and your furry (or feathered) friend's needs!

- Please let me know any specific preferences and behaviors your pet has ahead of time, as well as what commands they know and what your rewards and consequences are for certain behaviors. Animals do best with routine, especially when their people are gone, so let me know what schedule and activities your pets expect. That way I can keep things as "normal" for them as possible.
