About: I have loved animals my entire life. I grew up with Samoyeds (fluffy white sled dogs) and was so happy when I was able to get one of my own 13 years ago, and since then I have also adopted a Heeler mix. My dogs are members of my family, and I will treat your pets the same way. I love taking dogs out to all the amazing parks and trails in the area. And when I am home or doing a drop-in, I'm happy to play and keep your pets company while you are away, as well as make sure they are fed and have enough water. If there are any special needs or requests, please just let me know. I can't wait to meet you and your pets!
“Alyssa is wonderful with my pups! She is especially gentle, patient and loving to my super shy pup. We were both thrilled when my shy pup started wagging her tail with Alyssa and now they are BFFs. Alyssa is very responsive, communicative and diligent in her work. Couldn’t be happier…and my pups agree she’s the best!”
About: I have always loved animals and genuinely enjoy caring for pets as if they were my own. I currently have a 1-year-old dog, and I have also owned two beagles in the past, so I understand the care, patience, and attention pets need at every stage. I am reliable, attentive, and comfortable helping with walks, feeding, playtime, check-ins, and companionship. I also understand how important routines are and will carefully follow your instructions to make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and loved while you are away. I work from home Monday through Friday, which gives me flexibility to provide attentive and reliable care throughout the week. I am able to help with walks, feeding, playtime, check-ins, and companionship during the day. Because I am home often, your pet will receive plenty of attention and will not be left alone for long periods of time. I have a fenced yard where dogs can safely enjoy outdoor time, play, and stretch their legs. I also have a friendly 1-year-old dog, so your pet may have a companion if they are comfortable around other dogs. I always make safety a priority and will follow your instructions regarding feeding, walks, routines, crate use, and any special care needs. Your pet will be treated with kindness, patience, and love while in my care.
About: I’ve been around dogs and cats my whole life and have been professionally caring for animals for 6 years and have loved every pet like my own! Frequently praised by my kind and gentle approach, I have cared for elderly and special needs pets as well as boarded pets in my home. I have a 7 yo Husky Winter and 6 yo Corgi Max at home! Due to having kiddos in the house, I am no longer offering boarding or doggy daycare services. I am currently working from home and spend most weekends at home. I am available at most times of the day as well. Please let me know your needs so I can best accommodate. I will send pictures to you everyday and make sure they get lots of love while in my care! If there are any special toys, treats, areas of play, anything of the sort just let me know!
“Bethany was awesome me and my husband were going to be away on A trip our Dog Booker was staying home with our parents but they weren’t going to be able to give him the required exercise he needed so we figured we would give a dog walker a go! Bethany should up everyday to our house on time and Booker was always excited to see her! Each walk came with a picture and report which was great! Would definitely use Bethany again!”

About: EVERY PET WILL NEED TO HAVE TICK AND FLEA MEDICATION PROOF. THEY NEED TO BE BATHE AND CLEAN BEFORE THEIR STAY. WE WILL REJECT ANY PETS AND ITEMS PROVIDED FOR THEIR STAY IF IT IS NOT CLEAN. No exceptions. Every puppy and dog deserve to be treated as a part of family. That is what I was taught growing up with dogs and having them as a part of my family. I will never treat any dog or puppy as less than family. Dogs are meant to be treated with just as much love and care as you would be towards your babies. Working remotely has given me the opportunity to care for pups and dogs. I am always there looking after the dogs and making sure they get their potty breaks and entertained as much as I can by taking them to the park or just simply giving them the ear scratches. I’ll make sure that each and every dog that I care for is safe and comfortable for each night. I always make it a habit to take each dog out one last time before I sleep so that you can feel ensure they are well cared for. I love taking photos and mostly random ones for you throughout the booking. If my prices are too high..please know it is for a specific reason...I will ensure that your family member or baby pup is well taken care of and that I will keep you updated everyday. I am with the pups all day so they won’t be left alone. I have a large love for dogs and it is one thing that will never change. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: As a courtesy, I do ask that all dogs are washed and cleaned before being dropped off for their stay. Thank you :) I give updates daily with pictures of when I go out for walks or playing. I work from home so I will be with the dog all day and will be able to get help from my husband to care for the dogs. Dogs will go out once or twice in the morning, afternoon and once more at night. I always take the dogs out once more before I sleep. I do ask that pick up time is no later than 8pm. If this is a issue please let us know and we can discuss it further. I always make sure they have enough water and is fed appropriately with the instructions from the pet owner. There is a little park in my apartment that I do take the dogs to sometimes, but most of the time I go on 15 minute walks with the dogs. I work from home so I will be with the dogs all day. It definitely makes it easier for me to tend to any needs that they have. When going on walks, I always make sure that there’s no other dog interaction and that I keep a safe distance from others. I make sure that all dogs are safe if taken to dog parks.

“Shelby was responsive to all communication and it was easy to work with her. She is flexible, which is great for me since I don't need someone daily, but intermittently. Barkley was happy to see me when I got home after a 12 hour day but he was not frantic like he is when I am gone 7! He was happy, fed, and quickly settled in for a quiet evening.”
About: I am a Dog mom of an English Mastiff named Groot, a rescue English Bulldog born with birth defects named Winston Buttermilk waffle, and also have a rescue Frenchie mix who is 3 legged named Ronnie! I’m one of those “ Go To” people when you need dog sitting, help with training, doggy diet/health questions, or someone to give your furry friend some extra love and attention when you’re just too busy. I’ve been pet sitting for friends and family for ten years- and can’t ever get enough doggie snuggles. We have a fenced yard, and plenty of dog toys. We also take frequent dog park trips and walks around our neighborhood. I currently sit weekly for the cutest Blood Hound named June, and am looking for some more dogs in my life to love on! I’m currently only working part time, so have plenty of time to fit in dog walks and care. I also only work 7 hour shifts Friday-Sunday and can fit in evening care as well on those days. I treat every clients home as if it were my own sitting being done; with respect and patience, diligence and always leave detailed photos and feedback. These fur babies are important!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Tualatin
Tyran recently met and began walking our sweet, adorable German Shepherd. Victoria connected with Tyran immediately, responding to his warm, loving, gentle demeanor. She returned from their hour-long adventure happy, wagging, and contentedly tired! She's already looking out the window for him to return for another excursion! Our other dog, Charlie - Victoria's beloved companion - passed away a few months ago, leaving her deeply melancholy. We are grateful to Tyran for being Victoria's weekly companion to give her love and attention, lift her spirits, and take her on new and fascinating journeys!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
