Alexis and Jacob watched Baja for the first time and it was a total success! Baja is very sweet but can be a handful and so we were pretty picky about who could take the reins after her last sitter moved. Based on the friendliness, competence, reliability, and great communication we experienced with Alexis and Jacob, we’re thrilled to have a new loving and safe place for Baja to stay when we’re gone.

Our dog doesn't do well alone and had a great time at Heather and Roberto's for daycare. I loved the picture updates and our dog came home happy and a little tired, which is just what we wanted!

London had a wonderful time with Hanna, Matthew, and his new furry friends! He was clearly having a blast — he was excited to see me at pickup, but also totally torn about leaving all his playmates, which was pretty adorable. He came home happily worn out, which is always the sign of a great day. As a bonus, they’re only 6 minutes from me, which makes drop-off and pickup so easy. I’d absolutely reach out to them again if I need a pet-sitter in the future!

Damon has been a life saver for my daycare needs. He is reliable, personable, and communicative. I work full time and have an active GSD who needs adequate mental stimulation and play. By the time I pick her up, she’s ready to eat and relax for the rest of the evening. He has a spacious and clean backyard for the dogs to roam/play around in without it feeling too crowded. I always get pics and updates thru out the day to make me feel reassured she’s safe and having a great time. Would absolutely recommend Damon and his services.

Peter is kind, has a lovely home and welcomed Max with open arms. Sounds like my pup has a great day with Peter and his family. Peter was also super flexible when I needed to make some timing changes based on my daughter’s unpredictable basketball tournament schedule. Highly recommend!

Anastasiya and her family have been caring for our energetic 10-month old aussiedoodle Tony each week for a couple of months now & I am so grateful that we found her! We are always greeted warmly, and he expresses excitement and interest for his visits. They have a wonderful home and outdoor space for him to explore and I am confident that he is being well taken care of and having lots of fun. Our brief check-ins tell me that they genuinely seem to enjoy his company, which makes me happy too! Anyone who is able to utilize her services will be fortunate and in very good hands:)

Wow, Jami was wonderful and you can really tell that she is an animal lover! She went above and beyond to make sure Duckie was taken care of at daycare. She even took him to the dog park so that he could run and play with the other dogs. He was sleepy and happy when I picked him up. I got adorable photos and video updates throughout the day as well. 10/10 recommend!

Dottie was AWESOME! She completely loved on my dog while she was there and my dog didn’t want to leave. She walked my dog during her daycare and sent me pictures. She had an inside and outside set up so it’s perfect for all weathers. What I really liked was how thorough she was on meet and greet. She wanted my dog’s information, which made me feel so much safer about sending my dog there. If she had availability every day I would use her

My little dog Clara absolutely adores Susan and Ian and their two big dogs. They have such a wonderful dynamic with their intelligent, energetic dogs, and it melts my heart to see Clara be welcomed into their pack. She comes home so happy and tired from a full day of exercise, play, affection, and relaxing among her favorite spots. Their pickup add-on is really wonderful, and Clara gets so excited when she realizes it's time to go have fun with Baz and Ruby! It is so special to see my little dog and other new friends in daycare all confidently playing together. Every daycare dog she's met with them has been an immediate friend--not always what you expect with a chihuahua away from mom and home--and that speaks to how thoughtfully Susan and Ian manage the group. They have a real gift for understanding different dogs so that they feel comfortable, safe, and included. I trust them completely with Clara and couldn't recommend them more highly.

About: We provide a safe, cozy, low-stress environment so your pup feels comfortable, relaxed, and truly at home while you’re away. Lots of attention, familiar routines, and genuine care. Pet care fits naturally into our daily and weekly routine. One of us works from home, so dogs are rarely left alone and get plenty of attention throughout the day. We also have two teen girls who love helping with care — extra cuddles, playtime, and lots of love included. Daily walks are part of our routine, along with a calm, cozy home environment where pups feel safe and spoiled. We care for pets as if they’re part of our family. In our home, dogs enjoy a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor time, plenty of supervision, and a calm, comfortable environment. Since we don’t currently have pets of our own, your dog gets our full attention — from playtime and walks to cuddles and downtime. Our goal is always to keep your pup feeling secure, relaxed, and right at home.

I normally stress out about leaving my dog with someone else, but after our meet and greet, I was actually excited about leaving my dog with Mersal and Cora. He doesn’t get many opportunities to play with other dogs. He had the best time ever with Mersal and Cora. He didn’t want to leave. I think I’ll be reserving more time just for his happiness to be with Mersal and Cora.

About: With 8 years of experience as a former veterinary assistant and many many years as a dog Mama, I will love your pets like they are part of our family. I am a stay-at-home homeschooling Mama and my husband works from home. So there is almost always somebody home, if not the whole family. So your pet will never feel lonely. I have a fenced yard and a small doggy-door. Our sweet miniature Labradoodle makes for a great friend and my kids will help give your pet playtime and exercise.

I am very happy with Marla & Keith, because Cassie received a lot of one-on-one attention. Marla is an expert at making a new dog (Cassie) feel at home in a new environment. Cassie was welcomed on walks with the other dogs - all of them much bigger than she is. And she got lap time too. The photos were a nice bonus. 😊

We had our 2 pups stay with Roxanne while we were taking a daytrip to the coast, with the hope that by having them run around and play all day they'd be tired puppers when we got back. Mission accomplished! They were a little hyper when we picked them up because they were happy to see us again, but once we got home they were both EXHAUSTED. It looked like there were 4 other pups staying with Roxanne that day from the pictures she sent during the day, and from what she said they had a blast playing together. I loved how fast Roxanne was to respond to messages, as it made it easy to coordinate for dropoff/pickup. Thank you!

Odalis agreed to watch our dog on short notice so that we could attend a celebration of life for a family member. She and her family took great care of Echo and were flexible with our uncertain pick up time. They had a spacious yard for Echo to play fetch and run around with another dog. We would definitely take Echo back to Odalis.

Jami is an incredible sitter! She watched my anxious Golden Retriever for daycare a few times and it was clear she truly understands dog behavior. She was so patient and kind with my nervous dog and even communicated a clear plan for how she would help her settle in. Jami is calm and happy herself, which made it so easy to talk with her about any concerns. She responded quickly to text questions, followed feeding instructions perfectly, and respected my leashing preferences when they went on a hike. Jami sent regular updates. Jamie has a beautiful, large, fenced yard with a large deck full of pet beds and even a same-level floor dedicated just for the dogs. It's kind of like a fancy resort for pups! I knew my dog was going to have a wonderful time and I picked up a calm, happy, and tired pup. I can’t recommend her enough!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Tualatin commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 1,886 sitters in Tualatin, 89% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
