About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for friends, family and neighbors. I also have volunteered at a local dog rescue, and I would walk dogs. I also volunteered for a cat shelter where I would clean and assist in enrichment activities for the cats. I am currently working a remote part time job. I have plenty of flexibility and am also an early riser. My job is flexible, and I am able to flex my hours. I always ensure that I sick to mealtime schedules and enrichment times. “I needed day care services for the last 3 weeks. Susan & Ian were amazing! I requested dog pickup and drop off. I work 12 hrs a day and when I got home I came home to a tired and happy dog. Our pup went 2 days and came back both days a bit overwhelmed, exhausted and especially on day 2 he was stinky and scratched up. As a one year old he may not have been able to hold his own with the larger older dogs. It seems to be a great place for larger dogs, but even my 80lb Ridgeback was overwhelmed and may have been out muscled. He tends to play hard and get clumsy. Will certainly consider in the future for booking.”

My two cats are submissive to all dogs and usually do there own thing I’m a stay at home working artist. All dogs I accept , I treat as part of the family . About: Having grown up on a 20 acre farm for most of my life, I have cared for all shapes and sizes of animals - from horses to snakes, and everything in between! When I moved into an apartment for college, I missed the "dog energy" in our household and set to volunteering hundreds of hours at the Humane Society, which also included basic training skills and walking the most aggressive 100+lb leash pullers. This later evolved into working at a veterinary clinic where I was trained to monitor recovering animals and administer medications safely and with as little stress as possible through Fear Free certification. Animal body language is my second language! I love the outdoors as much as the indoors, and am more than happy to accommodate medical needs. ♡ If you would like extras taken care of during your pets stay or our visit, such as bathing, grooming, nail trims, or a run, just let me know! My dog, Leo, and I are constantly going on hikes and we are more than happy to tucker your pups out with a day trip, just reach out for rates. I currently work as a Braille Librarian for the state and used to teach Low Vision/Blind learners, and I am also fluent in American Sign Language (ASL), so I have a soft spot for dogs that may be Deaf, Blind, or DeafBlind. To top it all off, I am working on weaseling my way into Guide Dog puppy raising, and all the training tips that come along with that. ( : I commute to Salem Wednesday and Friday, which means my schedule during those days is usually pretty limited to anything after 430pm. Using the Fear Free method, I work with a pet's body language to determine what will work best in the current situation, and when methods may be effective versus stressful. I have taken care of pets through rover, as well as used it for my own pet care needs. About: We can offer discounts on stays longer than 4 days. We do not offer them on holiday stays. Your dog will be loved and cared for as if it were my own dog Elijah! They will have all of the ear scratches and belly rubs it could ever want. Ours is an all girl home so if your dog has a fear of men then the fur baby would be content here. We do have cats so your dog being cat savvy is a must. Our animals are welcome to sleep with us in our beds and yours would be too if that is something they are used to. We are also not fans of kennels and do not use them with our own animals, but can if you prefer your dog to be in one. We are willing to go above and beyond for your fur baby to make them feel right at home while you are away. Also know that the prices are not fixed. If your dog is under a year and is house trained it gets the adult price. About this sitter: I am willing to watch your dog in your home to make your time away from your animal easier on him/ her. Keeping your dog in it's natural environment can ease the strain on your dog(s) and prevent stress caused by separation. I hope to help your dog(s) feel comfortable and happy while you are away. I’ve pet and house sat overnight multiple times for friends and family, so I’m comfortable with daily care, walks, feeding, and keeping pets company while you’re away. I now have two kids ages 3 and 8 that want a dog, but we are not able to commit to that right now so would love to spoil yours! When I went to pick Gunner up Jeannine explained that Gunner and her dog destroyed Gunner's bed so she bought him a new one. Not only was it cute but Gunner has been loving it.
