About: I have been surrounded by pets my entire life and have grown up with a deep appreciation for the unique personalities and needs of animals. Because I’ve lived with and cared for pets since childhood, I understand that they are family members, not just 'pets.' I am deeply reliable, exceptionally organized, and committed to following your specific care instructions to the letter. Whether it’s maintaining a strict feeding schedule, ensuring safety during walks, or providing plenty of love and attention, I treat every pet under my care with the same dedication I would provide to my own I currently work part time, with my shifts changing frequently but I always will be upfront about my availability from the jump. Other than time spent working I am available full time for whatever your pet needs! Safety is my top priority. With a background in professional caregiving, I am trained to be observant, follow detailed instructions precisely, and remain calm in any situation. About: I’ve always had a deep love for animals of all kinds. When we got our first dog I took matters into my own hands and taught her all kinds of tricks and everything that she knows today. Most recently I pet sat a senior dog for 2 weeks giving him the attention and care that he needed. I very much enjoy going on walks especially with dogs! I currently do not have a job so I am able to check in on your pets and hang out with them as often as needed!! I am a very active person and am always available to take them on long walks to get their energy out. I am good at time management and can follow a feeding schedule. I am comfortable with dogs and cats if all ages, meds, and any other needs they may have. I’m a teacher so I can care for pets before/after school, over weekends. I can do drop ins and long weekend care as well. I can also do morning and afternoon walks. In my home, I am happy to host any dogs over the weekends who are dog and cat friendly. My cats don’t do well with unknown cats, but I can definitely drop in at your home. My home is very clean, safe, and zoned off for various animals. I have gates on my stairs, a gated yard, and locks on all the interior doors.
“Trula was great! I needed someone last minute because we were going to a funeral about 2 hours from home. Trula was available and did a great job with Riley. She sent pictures and gave me details about the visit. I could see from the pictures I had made the right decision. Trula provided just what was needed - a friendly visitor for Riley to walk and snuggle with. I would definitely recommend her.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Sherwood
Rylie R was the first person I contacted to get a walker for my sisters dog who moved onto my property, and I’m glad I did! She’s prompt, good with the dog, and communicative about needs or concerns. I’ve been pleased with her work and have continued to hire her as my regular walker. Ricky loves her!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
