If I am house sitting for you, I'd love to schedule a phone call or in-person meeting with you to provide the opportunity to get to know me a little better and discuss the needs of your pet! I am very dedicated to maintaining your pet's typical daily routine, however if there's any reason I can't do so I will be sure to discuss that with you beforehand. I'm a huge fan of long walks and getting some energy out at a local park, so high-energy dogs will be no problem for me! :)

No detail is too small! Do they have a favorite toy? Favorite treat? What's their comfortability levels around other animals/people? As I've mentioned before, I try to stick to your pet's typical routine as closely as possible, so details like what times they go for walks, take medications, or have meals are super helpful. I am more than happy to stick to their typical walking routes if they have any!
A typical day
Ultimately I will adjust to the needs of your pet, but otherwise I love spending time outside for walks, playing with toys, running around, and any other activities your pet enjoys :)

Pet care experience
I am a huge animal lover!! I've been around all sorts of pets my whole life, but especially dogs and cats. I have pet sat for many family friends and neighbors over the last 8 years, many of which being on a consistent basis during holidays when I'm home from university :) I was the primary trainer for my last family dog (a huge, energized golden retriever) and was heavily involved in daily care when I wasn't in school. I was able to gain some private dog behavioral training (at a very basic level) in my early teen years, and I love finding new ways to incorporate mentally stimulating exercises into pet routines!
