About: Working in a pet hotel has given me a lot of experience with dogs of every shape and size. I've handled big and playful to small and reserved. I've always been comfortable around dogs and cats my whole life, growing up with my pets certainly gave me a sense of comradery with them. I was a lead pet hotel and doggy daycare associate, so I have general experience in watching and taking care of dogs along with experience in enrichment, feeding, and giving medication. I have nothing but a passion towards animals and I'm very excited to meet your pets and look after them and make sure they're feeling comfortable and happy. I am currently looking for work so I quite literally have all the time in the world to look after your pets. I'm open to extended visit times and walks. Ultimately it's up to you on how to care for your pet. I would ask if I could get some details and routines of how you play with your pet and what they like to do, and anything I need to do to ensure your pet gets the best care they can get.

About: We are a loving household comprised of myself, my husband, our two kiddos and two sweet hound dogs. Frito is a yellow hound/lab mix who loves to sleep and hang with his family. Bacca is a coonhound with the attitude to match! He likes to express himself often and loudly, but can be a very chill guy once he's gotten his sniffs in. Both are friendly towards all kinds of other dogs. We have experience with dog sitting in our home and we have in the past fostered deaf dogs (through Deaf Dogs of Oregon rescue) while they are found their forever homes. Our house isn't large, but the dogs are basically in charge and we like it that way (they are our kids, along with our human kiddos!) We have a large fenced back yard for the pooches to run in as well. About this sitter: My husband works outside the home and my main job is stay at home mom to my two kiddos (so I'm home a lot!).I love hanging out with my dogs and kids most of the time. We like to hang out in the big back yard. My hubby is a big help with the dogs as well. Why I love dog sitting Both my husband and I grew up loving dogs. My family always had two or three dogs on my parents' 4 acre homestead. We always had big dogs, and a few wiener dogs. They were always part of the family. My husband Justin rescued our late dog Jughead when he was a puppy from a neglectful home, and trained him up to be an awesome dog, who we still miss very much. We adopted our dog Frito together when he was 8 weeks old and he's grown up in our care a very good boy. Our coonhound Bacca is good at very loudly expressing himself (especially when you first meet him!) but he really just wants to be everyone's friend and get pets and okay. About my yard We have a large backyard, about 1/3 of which is covered. The rest is open, with large pine and cedar trees in the back third of the yard near the back fence. We have couches that the dogs often run around, and over when they are playing. There isn't much grass (it won't grow) and the dirt gets a bit dusty when its dry. The dogs like to run, play, and lay out in the sunshine. I am a stay at home mom currently so I'm very flexible with accommodating your dogs needs. I'll be available for drop in visits and walks during the week while my kids are at school, and more often on the weekends if your pet is friendly around children. I have a large fully fenced back yard and two dogs too keep your dog company. I can also easily crate your dog if needed.

About: Although I am new to this, I have owned a dog of my own. I am a student and can’t have a pet but would love to fill that by helping take care of yours! I will be sure to treat them like my own! I’m going to school, so I have many free hours during days typically or in the evenings. Thursdays are my busiest days, so I wouldn’t be available as much that day. Otherwise I am flexible and would be able to check in on your pet, walk them, or help take care of them! I make sure to give each one lots of love and attention. I will pet, snuggle, and care for them which also means taking them to dog parks, playing with them, or taking them for walks! About: I've always love caring for animals, in fact I've pet sat on and off since I was a kid as my very first job. Plus I've always had pets of my own, or my family's, to take care of as well. My professional experience includes being a kennel tech & dog daycare worker. I have experience with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and ages. (In fact my own dog is also my multipurpose service dog.) In addition I have experience caring for cats (an assortment of breeds and ages), geese, chickens, snakes, rodents, fish, bats, squirrels, opossums, and foxes. Any exotic animals that need care are welcome also as I used to be a wildlife rehabilitator & volunteered at WalkingWildRescue .org (a fox rescue & wolf-dog sanctuary). *Note: I no longer take feline clients who need medication due to multiple negative experiences. Cats generally need someone they trust to administer meds, & do not take kindly to strangers (meeting once is not enough).* I charge what I do because: 1. I have to work around Rover's cut. 2. I'm willing to go the extra mile to make sure you don't need to worry about your family while you're gone! This is my only job & I love it, so I'm very dedicated & do take it seriously. My routine involves taking care of my own service dog, so it's easy for me to incorporate another! I'm very flexible, please just give me at least a day notice. While I am not currently able to host, I will treat your home with respect! In addition; Leon, who is my professionally trained service dog, is very friendly so can help provide some socialization for your pup if desired. *Important Note for Dog-Walk Clients*: Due to my disability I am unable to go on walks without my service dog--so in order for me to be the right provider for you, your pet must be dog friendly while at home/on walks. However if you are looking for an extended daytime stay, it isn't necessary that my service dog accompany me & I am very open!

About: I’ve lived with cats and taken care of them my whole life and recently started to take care of dogs! I love them both very much, I feel very prepared to provide loving and safe care for them, and am excited to meet yours :) I’m a student but I have time during the week to come by at least once a day for a couple hours, and I’m completely free almost every weekend! I currently can’t keep pets in my home but I would love to take care of them in their own home. I would make sure to learn all their habits and make sure they’re happy!

About: Having grown up on a 20 acre farm for most of my life, I have cared for all shapes and sizes of animals - from horses to snakes, and everything in between! When I moved into an apartment for college, I missed the "dog energy" in our household and set to volunteering hundreds of hours at the Humane Society, which also included basic training skills and walking the most aggressive 100+lb leash pullers. This later evolved into working at a veterinary clinic where I was trained to monitor recovering animals and administer medications safely and with as little stress as possible through Fear Free certification. Animal body language is my second language! I love the outdoors as much as the indoors, and am more than happy to accommodate medical needs. ♡ If you would like extras taken care of during your pets stay or our visit, such as bathing, grooming, nail trims, or a run, just let me know! My dog, Leo, and I are constantly going on hikes and we are more than happy to tucker your pups out with a day trip, just reach out for rates. I currently work as a Braille Librarian for the state and used to teach Low Vision/Blind learners, and I am also fluent in American Sign Language (ASL), so I have a soft spot for dogs that may be Deaf, Blind, or DeafBlind. To top it all off, I am working on weaseling my way into Guide Dog puppy raising, and all the training tips that come along with that. ( : I commute to Salem Wednesday and Friday, which means my schedule during those days is usually pretty limited to anything after 430pm. Otherwise, my weekends are typically completely free and ready to be filled with whatever your fur babies need! Using the Fear Free method, I work with a pet's body language to determine what will work best in the current situation, and when methods may be effective versus stressful. I am ready to go at your pet's pace with whatever they may need, and clearly communicate the process along the way.

About: Through my family, I have cared for a diverse range of pets. Small, medium, and large dogs, with ranging ages between 6 months old to 14 years old. I am happy to do any basic care for dogs, such as feeding, bathing, and playing. I am happy with taking most dogs out for walks, with the exception of highly energetic large dogs. I’ve had experience for caring for older dogs, and am confident in assisting in helping them with any kind of medication. Currently, I am available all hours of the day and week to care for critters.
