About: Having grown up on a 20 acre farm for most of my life, I have cared for all shapes and sizes of animals - from horses to snakes, and everything in between! When I moved into an apartment for college, I missed the "dog energy" in our household and set to volunteering hundreds of hours at the Humane Society, which also included basic training skills and walking the most aggressive 100+lb leash pullers. This later evolved into working at a veterinary clinic where I was trained to monitor recovering animals and administer medications safely and with as little stress as possible through Fear Free certification. Animal body language is my second language! I love the outdoors as much as the indoors, and am more than happy to accommodate medical needs. ♡ If you would like extras taken care of during your pets stay or our visit, such as bathing, grooming, nail trims, or a run, just let me know! My dog, Leo, and I are constantly going on hikes and we are more than happy to tucker your pups out with a day trip, just reach out for rates. I currently work as a Braille Librarian for the state and used to teach Low Vision/Blind learners, and I am also fluent in American Sign Language (ASL), so I have a soft spot for dogs that may be Deaf, Blind, or DeafBlind. To top it all off, I am working on weaseling my way into Guide Dog puppy raising, and all the training tips that come along with that. ( : I commute to Salem Wednesday and Friday, which means my schedule during those days is usually pretty limited to anything after 430pm. Otherwise, my weekends are typically completely free and ready to be filled with whatever your fur babies need! Using the Fear Free method, I work with a pet's body language to determine what will work best in the current situation, and when methods may be effective versus stressful. Whether it’s offering extra comfort to a senior pet or keeping an energetic puppy active and entertained, I take the time to adjust to each pet’s unique needs. By caring for them in the comfort of their own home, I ensure they feel secure, happy, and relaxed, maintaining their routine while you're away. As a full-time nursing student, I have classes on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays for about 6 hours each day, depending on my schedule. Outside of class, I spend time studying, but much of my coursework can be done from home, allowing me to be present and provide attentive care for pets. I carefully manage my schedule to ensure pets receive consistent attention, exercise, playtime, feeding, and companionship. I am also available during evenings and many weekends, making it easy to accommodate a variety of pet care needs. When caring for your furry loved one, I always make sure I will give care to them just as I would with my furry loved ones.

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was a kid. I have done every level of dog sitting. In my home, others homes, feeding, walking, playing, snuggling, bathing, and some special medical needs. I am working part time, and would love to find local pet caregiving and pet sitting work in my area to fill my spare time with fuzzy furry four legged joy. I do have a fenced yard. I have one small dog that lives with me part time. Sometimes my home is pet free when she is with her dad. She is friendly to cats, and friendly to most dogs with an introduction.
