About: Equine care experience since 2011, goat and chicken care experience since 2014, along with cat, fish, and dog lifelong. (With the occasional bullfrog 🐸) experience with administrating oral medication and shots for all animals listed above (aside from fish) I’m currently working part time. I’m working on bettering my skillset as a cook and baker while attending the gym and working out on a regular basis. This leaves me with more flexibility to dote on and care for your furry babies- or hairless ones 😉 I don’t discriminate! Depending on if your pet needs to be crated or non crated I can set up a safe and comfortable environment for them incase I am needed to leave to premises. I allow my pets on furniture and bed at home (always nice getting to snuggle) but will always follow any household rules that may differ from my own. Bathroom breaks regularly, every 2-4 hours. Along with frequent walks throughout the day and evening 2-4 walks a day—depends on weather and how your pet responds to climate changes.

“Allen has been the best caretaker for my Mini-Aussie, Mikka! We had a very thorough meet-and-greet for all questions and to meet his beautiful pup, Kaya. Mikka has spent the day with them 2 times now while I go to work and Mikka is now "a regular" every week. She has developed few anxiety issues during the pandemic and can be a bit reactive around other dogs, so I've been very hesitant about doggy day care in any other capacity, but Allen has listened to my concerns and been extremely careful with keeping an eye on her or introducing her to any other dog he's watching or who is using the magical little private gated dog park behind his house. He's been super helpful in correcting some of her behavior issues (like a very loud persistent bark that has made me crazy!), sends photos and updates frequently, and is very quick to communicate even in between stays. I'm so relieved my anxious dog is getting playtime and has such good care that I can trust every Tuesday, and she's making new dog friends finally. Thank you, Allen!”

About: I grew up in a house filled with many family dogs of all different shapes, sizes and backgrounds. My grandparent raised me and I helped her look after all of her various animals from a very young age. I had my own Bernese Mt Dog Freya until November 2023, she lived until she was 12.5 years young which was an amazing achievement for her breed, she was the love of my life and hanging out with her was my all time favourite thing to do. I have always been the go to dog sitter for all of my friends and family since I was a teenager, I like to be around dogs as much as possible because they bring so much joy to each day, I have also worked with local dog shelters fostering & walking dogs. I graduated with a b.s in zoology at OSU so you can say that animals are my life. I have an 8y/o German Shepherd husky mix, Grayson, and have grown up with large to giant breed dogs, some of whom were reactive. Hence, I am comfortable walking any size dog. Grayson is dog friendly (occasionally selective) if you ever wanted your dog to walk with a friend but not needed. I work 4 10s but have Saturday, Sunday, and Monday off to walk your dog. I can possibly cat sit if you live very close. Mondays are the most ideal day to walk your dog. I will treat your pet like the special and cute babies they are. About: Having grown up on a 20 acre farm for most of my life, I have cared for all shapes and sizes of animals - from horses to snakes, and everything in between! When I moved into an apartment for college, I missed the "dog energy" in our household and set to volunteering hundreds of hours at the Humane Society, which also included basic training skills and walking the most aggressive 100+lb leash pullers. This later evolved into working at a veterinary clinic where I was trained to monitor recovering animals and administer medications safely and with as little stress as possible through Fear Free certification. Animal body language is my second language! To top it all off, I am working on weaseling my way into Guide Dog puppy raising, and all the training tips that come along with that. ( : I commute to Salem Wednesday and Friday, which means my schedule during those days is usually pretty limited to anything after 430pm. Otherwise, my weekends are typically completely free and ready to be filled with whatever your fur babies need! Using the Fear Free method, I work with a pet's body language to determine what will work best in the current situation, and when methods may be effective versus stressful. I am ready to go at your pet's pace with whatever they may need, and clearly communicate the process along the way.

“Sequoia did a great job taking care of our two dogs. She even took time to brush the one with lots of fur and cut her nails. Our husky wasn’t agreeable (no surprise there), but we were glad that she was able to get one of them done! The dogs got exercise playing in the fenced yard and she took them for walks. We’ll book again when the need arises!”
