About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and have experience with a variety of breeds, sizes, and personalities. I’m especially comfortable with large dogs and understand the importance of providing them with plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and opportunities to burn off energy. Over the years, I’ve regularly pet sat for family friends who trusted me to care for their pet while they were away. My experience includes caring for senior dogs who require extra patience and attention, as well as energetic puppies who thrive with structure, play, and consistent supervision. I also have experience caring for cats, including my own two cats at home. I understand that every cat has a unique personality and comfort level, and I take the time to build trust while providing attentive, individualized care. About: Having grown up on a 20 acre farm for most of my life, I have cared for all shapes and sizes of animals - from horses to snakes, and everything in between! When I moved into an apartment for college, I missed the "dog energy" in our household and set to volunteering hundreds of hours at the Humane Society, which also included basic training skills and walking the most aggressive 100+lb leash pullers. This later evolved into working at a veterinary clinic where I was trained to monitor recovering animals and administer medications safely and with as little stress as possible through Fear Free certification. Animal body language is my second language! I love the outdoors as much as the indoors, and am more than happy to accommodate medical needs. ♡ If you would like extras taken care of during your pets stay or our visit, such as bathing, grooming, nail trims, or a run, just let me know! My dog, Leo, and I are constantly going on hikes and we are more than happy to tucker your pups out with a day trip, just reach out for rates. I currently work as a Braille Librarian for the state and used to teach Low Vision/Blind learners, and I am also fluent in American Sign Language (ASL), so I have a soft spot for dogs that may be Deaf, Blind, or DeafBlind. To top it all off, I am working on weaseling my way into Guide Dog puppy raising, and all the training tips that come along with that. ( : I commute to Salem Wednesday and Friday, which means my schedule during those days is usually pretty limited to anything after 430pm. Otherwise, my weekends are typically completely free and ready to be filled with whatever your fur babies need! Using the Fear Free method, I work with a pet's body language to determine what will work best in the current situation, and when methods may be effective versus stressful. I am ready to go at your pet's pace with whatever they may need, and clearly communicate the process along the way.

I have a special place in my heart for pet care, and am an aspiring veterinarian. I have continuously found joy in spending time and connecting with all kinds of animals. I’m a college student spending the summer in Portland and have a variable schedule that gives me flexibility throughout the week. About: I grew up with lots of animals in the the house and feel confident taking care of dogs, cats, and rodents! I just finished graduate school and am looking for animal care gigs over the summer. I currently have class Monday through Thursday, beginning in the morning and ending around 3:30. I am able to stay overnight with pets, visit during my lunch hour (11-12), and after class. During the weekends I am able to spend whole days with pets. I take great care to be mindful of my surroundings, whether that means being respectful in a clients home or ensuring that pets are safe and happy when outside of the home. I know that there is a lot of trust that goes into having someone else care for your pet, so I honor that trust by treating your pet as if it were my own.

About: Have experience raising puppies and bottle feeding as young as 3 weeks. I have worked with puppies as well as providing care and medication for our older puppies on end of life care. I love my animals like my family and I will love yours as if they are my own! I have two dogs of my own at home so I am used to incorporating potty and feeding times into my daily schedules. I work a nontraditional schedule and I am often available mid day and weekends! I have a small fenced in backyard as well as ample places to provide walks to your dogs in the area immediately surrounding my apartment complex. I do live with two dogs and one cat in my home.
