“Mary is so great with pets. I've seen her charm dogs who's owner say - they don't like people, or they're reactive around people they don't know. I've seen her easily dose finicky cats with tablets or liquids. and they all want to snuggle in with her. She's got an amazing feel for animals and their people.”

Nina N.
“Nina is both a hardworking and caring person. She has always had a love for animals and understands the importance of meeting the social and physical needs of animals and people. As a nurse Nina understands how to care for people and as a two dog owner she also understands how to treat animals, especially dogs. Nina is trustworthy, honest, caring, and self disciplined. She keeps commitments and is responsible. Nina is also dedicated to fitness so is capable of walking multiple dogs per day. I would recommend Nina for dog walking, you won’t be disappointed!”

I feel so at ease going out of town knowing my dog is being cared for by someone who is so loving and attentive to him.”

About: Along with having animals of my own since birth, I’ve been pet sitting for the past 8 years and I worked on a farm for 4 years. While taking my high school animal science class and showing livestock, I received my YQCA certification. I have hands on experience administering oral, eye, ear, and skin medications, along with sub-q and IM injections. If you think your dog is hard to walk on a leash, know that I halter broke an 1800 pound steer, who was afraid of his own shadow. Loving and caring for any and all animals is my passion. I just moved back to Oregon, so until I get a job it is my main focus. When I do get a job, I’ll be dedicating all of my free time to my animals. I like to make the pets as comfortable as possible, so I do my best to stick to their schedule and routine. I do my best to make the environment as familiar as possible.

About: I’ve been on Rover for a couple years now and I’m loving meeting all of the wonderful pets around Portland! I have personal experience living with a cat and/or dog for my entire life, as well as some semi-professional experience in a pre-vet technician course I took for a year through my school. I absolutely love animals and I want your pet to be as happy as possible! I get along really well with animals and I am good at reading pet body language and respecting their personal space as well. I have a 4WD personal vehicle, so transportation is never an issue and I’m very responsible with my time management. I have pet-sat for both friends and family since I’ve been a young kid and I have always had a great time with their animals, honestly it’s a privilege to me to be asked to do so! I am willing to do whatever it is to make sure that your animals are cared for and happy while you are away, and I'm happy to give you updates as often as you would like them. I am not picky about any particular animal breeds or size, I love anything from a tiny cat to a 135 pound Mastiff. I currently have two cats named Butters and Nazgûl, they doesn’t come with me to clients’ homes but I’m always happy to show everyone pictures! I’m always willing to learn and try so feel free to ask for any accommodation your pet needs. I work full-time remote alongside doing Rover. I’m most easily available in the morning or evenings during the week, and all day on the weekends, but my schedule is flexible and I can make most requests work. I am currently only taking care of animals in the client’s home, but I will do everything to make sure that your pets are comfortable.

Annemarie V.

“Anne is the most unbelievable dog walker/pet wrangler we have ever found. Our dogs LOVE her! It’s their favorite part of their day and they can’t wait for Anne to arrive for their daily walk. But what’s the most amazing about Anne is all her knowledge and experience with dogs. I feel like our dogs come home better leash trained every day they go on a walk with Anne!! I don’t know what we would do without her!”

Allison K.

“Allison is fantastic! She is really patient with my doggo and is very flexible with our crazy schedule. So thankful we have her as our dog walker!”

Laura P.

“Laura is always on time and spends quality time with my baby girl, Snow. Because of the past heatwaves she has not walked Snow out on the hot pavement, thank you Laura! She spends quality time with her outside and inside getting as much play and potty time Snow needs. Highly recommend!”

Cassandra F.
“My family and I were out of town for 9 days and asked Cassandra to take care of our moody Chihuahua mix and our skiddish Guinea Pig. She did an exceptional job with both pets! She fed, water, played with, and cared for both of them multiple times a day. There’s no one else I would use going forward. She was kind and extremely attentive as well as professional!”

About: I grew up caring for a wide variety of animals including dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, hamsters, a ferret, and a lizard! I currently have a pet rabbit, named Puppy, who is 9 years old. I adopted her 8 years ago and I adore her. I volunteer at a local animal shelter and pet sit to spend time with more animals as they've always brought me so much comfort and joy. I work remotely in tech so my availability is quite flexible. I care for my own rabbit daily by (promptly! lol) feeding her breakfast and maintaining her space as she is free to roam the upstairs of my apartment. I am gentle and respectful of animal's boundaries. I always ensure the animals I meet are comfortable and feel safe to spend time with me as they please. I volunteer weekly at an animal shelter where I administer medication and serve dinner to animals with a large variety of personalities and so I have become well acquainted with how different animals communicate their needs.
