“Shianne was fantastic! This was our second booking with Shianne and our dog was so happy to see her! Shianne has everything we would want in a dog walker - clear communication, patience and skill with dogs, warmth and professionalism. I'll definitely look to Shianne any time I can't walk my own dog in the future.”

About: Having grown up on a 20 acre farm for most of my life, I have cared for all shapes and sizes of animals - from horses to snakes, and everything in between! When I moved into an apartment for college, I missed the "dog energy" in our household and set to volunteering hundreds of hours at the Humane Society, which also included basic training skills and walking the most aggressive 100+lb leash pullers. This later evolved into working at a veterinary clinic where I was trained to monitor recovering animals and administer medications safely and with as little stress as possible through Fear Free certification. Animal body language is my second language! I love the outdoors as much as the indoors, and am more than happy to accommodate medical needs. ♡ If you would like extras taken care of during your pets stay or our visit, such as bathing, grooming, nail trims, or a run, just let me know! My dog, Leo, and I are constantly going on hikes and we are more than happy to tucker your pups out with a day trip, just reach out for rates. I currently work as a Braille Librarian for the state and used to teach Low Vision/Blind learners, and I am also fluent in American Sign Language (ASL), so I have a soft spot for dogs that may be Deaf, Blind, or DeafBlind. To top it all off, I am working on weaseling my way into Guide Dog puppy raising, and all the training tips that come along with that. ( : I commute to Salem Wednesday and Friday, which means my schedule during those days is usually pretty limited to anything after 430pm. Otherwise, my weekends are typically completely free and ready to be filled with whatever your fur babies need! Using the Fear Free method, I work with a pet's body language to determine what will work best in the current situation, and when methods may be effective versus stressful. I am ready to go at your pet's pace with whatever they may need, and clearly communicate the process along the way.
“Tommy did a WONDERFUL job walking my dog!! I came home to a very happy, well exercised pup. My dog is a newer rescue, so he can be shy and unsure about people. Tommy is definitely a dog person, he was very gentle with him and snoop took right to him!! He is very professional and attentive to all of mine and my dogs needs. He listens well & kept up all of his training. He even brought his own treats & bags incase. Would recommend to friends & family!!”

“Julie has walked our doodle a couple times now and we are in love! We appreciate the updates she gives and the photos of our dog after every walk, would absolutely recommend!”

“Teryx loves Karly and her dog Nova. Karly has always been very dependable and gives us pertinent updates on Teryx’s behavior. We trust that she deeply cares for our dog and understands our needs as dog owners, too. We are lucky to have Karly to be around our dog regularly.”

“Alyson has been walking my little blind weenie for about a month now. My little girl loves her and is always so excited for her walk. Alyson is so sweet and gentle with her. Alyson communicates well and is prompt. I would highly recommend her!”

“Our dog doesn't have a lot of experience with sitters, and Allison knew just how to patiently interact with her as she warmed up to her new friend. We're also going through a house move, so our pup and cats are going through lots of change. It feels good to know that Allison brings the experience we need as an animal lover.”

“Thank you Chanda for taking care of Otto this week! I appreciate your excellent communication and your gentle care of Otto. He will be happy to see you in a week or so!”

About: Hi! My name is Sage, and I have around 4 years of experience caring for both cats and dogs. I worked at a dog and cat grooming salon for 3 years, volunteered at an animal shelter for a year, and have also spent about 6 months housesitting and caring for pets for multiple families. I have experience with pets of all ages, from puppies and kittens to senior animals. I’m comfortable helping with special needs, including giving medications and taking dogs to the park. I also have reliable transportation and am happy to accommodate your pet’s specific needs. Thanks for your consideration! I currently have an open schedule and reliable transportation, which provides lots of flexibility to meet your dogs’ specific needs! I prefer morning-late afternoon, but am also open to occasional evening care. When caring for dogs in their own homes, I make sure to look out for body language cues, and ensure they feel safe and comfortable.
“Seth was incredibly patient with my anxious pup who gets stressed around new people. He clearly has a strong understanding of working with dogs and he developed a lot of trust with my dog in a short period of time. His daily updates and pictures were much appreciated. He even did some training with my pup as a way to build trust and confidence in her. We can’t wait to hire Seth again!”

About: I grew up with dogs, cats and rabbits I’ve always truly loved animals and spending time with them, taking care of them, giving them all the love and attention they need/deserve. Mainly throughout the years I’ve taken care of cats more and sometimes a few dogs. I’m more fond of cats and know how to give them what they need and when they need space or food I can understand quickly. I’m always happy to care for dogs though especially since it’s fun to go on walks, have playtime with them. I will try my best to make sure every pet feels safe, content and happy with me I currently work part time at the Moda Center and it’s but only twice or once a week so I have most days off and so much free time so I really want to keep busy as much as possible and help people out in the process! I’d like to say I’m an observant person and very caring aswell, I tend to check in a lot even if it’s not needed and keeping track of when pets need to be let out, feed, given medication, any of the sorts im right on time. I also give pets time to adjust to me before jumping into touching them, I like to let them come to me first to make them feel comfortable if they are shy. If they are messy i don’t mind cleaning up a mess/cleaning up poop/pee

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of every kind since I decided to start my own neighborhood dog-sitting business when I was 10 years old. Since then, I have owned, lived with, and cared for dogs of all kinds, ranging from an energetic and rambunctious German shepherd puppy to an anxious and quiet chihuahua old man :) I truly love spending my time caring for and hanging out with dogs (maybe even more than humans…) I am currently a fourth year clinical psychology PhD student finishing up my degree from home! My schedule is very flexible and I create my own hours. I am able to take multiple breaks throughout each day to go on walks or visit the park near my apartment. I work from home 3 days a week and am also around on weekends! I can board dogs in my home, pet and house sit from my clients’ homes, pop in to play with your dog or give him/her food and water, take your dog to the park, or take your dog on a walk! I am able to provide whatever services are needed, in whatever manner my clients would prefer.
About: **Please note that I am only boarding dogs that are friendly with cats at this time** I've been called a dog whisperer on more than one occasion... Ever since I was a child (look through my photos for me as a kid hanging out with my pets!), I've always been around animals. I currently live with a Goldador, Sage, and a kitty, Roo, and have been pet sitting for many years and active on Rover for eight years. I have a flexible schedule and mainly work from home, which means I have time to do walks and exercise before work, during lunch, and/or after work every day. If you are interested in a timeframe that my calendar says I'm unavailable, please still reach out. I may be able to move some things around to make it work! I own a house with a great backyard for dogs. Check out the end of my photos for details. I never leave the pups outside when I’m not home, and Sage and I like to keep a consistent schedule so that she knows when food, exercise, and downtime happen.

So very grateful to Katherine for being so readily available to help with Otto, even on a last minute booking. She takes the time to listen and understand the needs of my dog and his quirks (he has a few). She’s also thoughtful about making sure Otto takes it easy on days when he may be a little slower with walking. Leaves my place just how I left it- I really appreciate it! Will book again 😊
