About: I work for a doggie daycare and dog walking company and I walk up to 10 dogs at a time by myself in all kinds of weather. In hot weather, I bring them to shaded parks. I use healthy treats for training and every dog improves, some dramatically. My business partner and I have given sick or injured dogs wagon rides on paved bike trails to get them fresh air and socialization with their friends. At the time of this writing, between the daycare and Rover, I have worked with 80 dogs. I am currently working full time on weekdays, but I’m available on weekends for dog walking, house sitting and drop-in visits. Dog walking is included with house sitting. I am available to pet sit in client’s homes and walk dogs. I am an avid hiker, so I would take them for walks and runs if appropriate. I double check to ensure harnesses are adjusted properly and comfortable. I use a dog walking belt to attach leashes to, keeping my hands free to pick up after them. If another dog passes, I distract my dogs by offering treats for sitting, staying and directing attention at me. I love taking them to play in parks or the yard, and give lots of love, head scratches and belly rubs! I take time to train so they will trust me and come to me when called. I use a happy, excited voice to encourage them to walk, and a calm, gentle voice when giving them a treat so they learn to take it gently from my hand. I even learned commands in Spanish to help a dog who understands that language best. In addition, I have earned online certificates in Dog Emotion and Cognition from Duke University and Animal Behavior and Welfare from the University of Edinburgh.

About: I grew up in rural midwest with dogs, cats, and guinea pigs since I was 9. I was a dedicated and loving dog mama to my beloved bernese mountain dog, Riker, for 9.5 years and I miss him very much. I enjoyed taking my boy to thousand acres, Mt. Tabor, and several other dog parks and we've gone on many hikes on the coast, in the gorge, and in Mt. Hood forest. I have special connections with my friends' animals and I've enjoyed taking their dogs for walks since my boy passed last March. I'm a fourth-year doctoral graduate student at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) meaning my schedule can be pretty flexible. I have two full days of clinic per week and fill the rest of the week with writing and research. When I'm not in clinic I can work with my schedule to take your fur baby on walks, check in on them to let them out, or schedule an adventure! I can also come house sit or invite your pet over for the day or extended stay. I have a fenced in backyard with ample space for throwing the ball or lounging in the sun on a picnic blanket. We also live very close to a park for on leash walks or park hangs. Our fur baby passed in March 2026 but our one-level house is still set up to be accessible with rugs on the wood flooring for traction, plenty of blankets and comfy spots to sleep, and easy access to the back yard (just two steps). We allow animals on furniture but respect your rules if that's a boundary of yours!

For lizards I understand many do live feedings, or salads. For rodents/bunnies/etc. I ensure they don't play escape games! I understand their curious nature and ensure that they have time to get to know me slowly. 7. Generally when accepting a new dog client I like to do a meet and greet with the owner, and then a first test visit to ensure the dog feels comfortable with me. This ensures that I and the dog are able to work together well! I want their time with me is amazing! I am patient so understand some dogs take a bit of warming up. This might mean starting visits in the yard for a few times first to build trust.

I believe every pet deserves personalized attention and the best care possible, and I strive to make them as happy as they make me. Whether it’s offering extra comfort to a senior pet or keeping an energetic puppy active and entertained, I take the time to adjust to each pet’s unique needs. By caring for them in the comfort of their own home, I ensure they feel secure, happy, and relaxed, maintaining their routine while you're away. As a full-time nursing student, I have classes on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays for about 6 hours each day, depending on my schedule. Outside of class, I spend time studying, but much of my coursework can be done from home, allowing me to be present and provide attentive care for pets. I carefully manage my schedule to ensure pets receive consistent attention, exercise, playtime, feeding, and companionship. I am also available during evenings and many weekends, making it easy to accommodate a variety of pet care needs. When caring for your furry loved one, I always make sure I will give care to them just as I would with my furry loved ones.

It's always nerve wracking to leave your dog with someone new, but during our meet and greet we could tell that he was extremely caring and would make her feel at home. We received pictures multiple times a day which made us feel at ease. Don and his wife took Indigo on walks, played with her, and even gave her a warm blanket for her bed. They really got to know her and treated her like their own. We could enjoy our vacation knowing that Indigo was in safe and caring hands. We will definitely be booking with Don again and would highly recommend him!”
