About: I never remember a time I was not wanting to be around or take care of a animal around me. I have had my cat since she was a little baby (found her in a box!) and she is now 17 years old! Her and I have been through so much together and she is absolutely my best friend and everyone in my life knows her. We have our own language & there is nothing I wouldn't do for her. I volunteer my days off with rescue dogs and work with them so they can hopefully find their forever home. I have been around almost every dog breed as I used to work at an animal shelter and now volunteer with specific dogs in need. I have been known to rescue cats.. although I have not been able to take them in over the years, I have rescued a few stray cats and found homes for them. Anytime my friends/family need someone to take care of their dog/cat while away.. I am the one to call. I am extremely patient and have always felt connected to animals. I am extremely dependable, time efficient, and very active. I understand the importance of taking care of your animal, as I would expect the same of someone to take care of mine. I currently work full time in dental in Lake Oswego, but have three days off a week including weekends open for pet care and helping you take care of your fur babies! I am very used to being around animals who have anxiety, feel down, scared and confused. I do everything I can do make a dog/cat feel as comfortable as they can while their parents are away. I understand how important it is to make your animal the number one priority and there is nothing else that matters to me than when an animal needs me. I currently have a 17 year old cat. She has to have ear drops, medication for her kidney disease, and she has very long hair as both brush together. She is very sweet to me, but spicy with others as she has been the only one her whole life. I am very comfortable and can understand when a cat asks me to leave it be for a minute or needs to feel me out before being comfortable. I also hold the Fear Free Certification. A course taken to understand cat and dog behaviors, how to approach a situation, and how to care for animals as best as I can to make them comfortable and cared for.

About: I love every pet I've ever met, from my childhood hamsters to my three silly cats - and I already know I love yours! I've had my own kitties for 6 years, and I've been taking care of others' cats, dogs, and small animals for even longer, from playful puppies to grumpy feline queens of the house. I can give most kinds of oral and topical medications comfortably if your pet needs any, and I have a decent amount of behavioral experience with anxious pets. I'm also no stranger to incontinence issues, and am more than happy to scrub any carpet. Bring on the enzyme cleaner! I'm in a transitional period right now, so I am happy to spend as much time with your pet as needed to keep their regular routine. As the owner of more than one anxious cat, I know just how important it is to keep your pet's environment as close to normal as possible while you're gone. I'm more than happy to work with you to make your house as close to routine as possible, from feeding times, play styles, or even someone to pounce on at 3am!

“I would rebook with Kat. She took good care of our 3 kitties while we were away. She followed our overly complicated feeding instructions and sent pictures of them eating and a few of them hanging out. One of the weekend days she definitely fed them all breakfast closer to lunchtime, but I still felt like they were in good hands, and in her defense I had expressed some flexibility in their feeding time. She also went out of her way to set our cat camera back up after the cats knocked it over so we could continue spying on one of their favorite hangout spots. Cats were happy and healthy when I got back.”

My husband & I live in a very lovely neighborhood in West Linn (Barrington Heights) and have a large, fenced back yard for your dog to enjoy. We have a very friendly Mini-Aussie named Nova and 3 dog friendly cats. While I work at a local school from 8-1:15pm during the school year, I do come home for lunch & to provide potty breaks! Even when I am not at home, your pet is unlikely to be left alone b/c my husband is retired and is often home to provide lots of affection & love! We are a very loving dog/cat family! If your pet needs any special attention or meds please let me know and I am happy to accommodate! Your pet will receive lots of personal attention, without a doubt! Please consider us for your pet care needs! PLEASE NOTE: Due to insurance reasons: I am not able to accept dogs that are un-neutered, aggressive, or of a specific breed such as : Pitbull, Staffordshire Terrier, German Shephard, Belgian Malinoise, Rottweiler, Doberman, Akita, Chow, Dalmatian, Bull Mastiff, Malamute, Catahoula Cur, etc. I grew up with many of these breeds so please know that it pains me not to be able to accept them! My main objective is always to maintain a safe and harmonious time for all of my pets, my other clients pets and yours as well! I'm currently working Part/time M-F at a nearby school in the morning, but I'm home by lunchtime. My husband is semi retired and is often home in the morning hours when I am at work. I am almost always home by 1pm! I have a fully secure large fenced yard to keep your Fur-baby safe and secure. My dog is VERY friendly and really enjoys having "friends" over for visits!
