“I would rebook with Kat. She took good care of our 3 kitties while we were away. She followed our overly complicated feeding instructions and sent pictures of them eating and a few of them hanging out. One of the weekend days she definitely fed them all breakfast closer to lunchtime, but I still felt like they were in good hands, and in her defense I had expressed some flexibility in their feeding time. She also went out of her way to set our cat camera back up after the cats knocked it over so we could continue spying on one of their favorite hangout spots. Cats were happy and healthy when I got back.”

“Emily did such an amazing job with our big boy Duke. It was our first time using Rover and she eased all of my anxiety and made sure that I knew my baby was taken care of. Can’t wait to have her spend more time with Duke.”

“J Does a great job with my pup and yesterday was super helpful because she drilled him on his commands and helped get some kongs prepped. J is reliable and communicates well.”

“Bonnie is amazing! We had utilized her services for our honeymoon last month, and we really appreciated her then. However, this week we were called away unexpectedly due to a family emergency, and she was an absolute lifesaver! She accepted our request same day and took care of our cats within a couple hours. We can’t recommend Bonnie enough. I know it couldn’t always be the case that someone is available, we really appreciate her flexibility and willingness to help!”

About: I have trained my dog as a service animal from ages 14-16. He is able to do tasks such as harm prevention, getting an adult, and deep pressure therapy. He also knows basic commands such as sit, down, shake, roll over, wait, stay, and "all done" I have experience rescuing and fostering a puppy, potty training him and teaching him basic commands. I have a cat and have cat sitted for many years for neighbors. I also took care of my teachers baby bunny in 2018, as she entrusted me out of every student to take care of the bunny, Saturn. As a student currently in community college at PCC, and a future RN, I am busy with school. Thanks to PCC and modern technology however, I am able to do most of my classes online through individual learning. I am only doing one class in person (ASL), twice a week, Tuesday and Thursday from 10:30-12:30. Other then that, I have no weekly commitments I have to attend, leaving me open to do anything you require me to for your fur babies! Starting in September, I am starting my CNA program which will be full-time but we can discuss the Fall term in depth once I finish my Summer schooling. If I am allowed to bring your pets to my home, I have a lovely sprawling 1,000 SQFT backyard with lots of grass and area to run in. I also have my own dog (professionally trained and not a barker) who loves other animals (including cats!) so your baby can play with him if you request it. If not, I can put him in an entirely different area so they won't interact. My neighborhood, Robinwood, is absolutely beautiful to walk around, with a public playground, trails, and a river a block away I can take your dog to if you wish! In your home, I will do what you ask me to, whether its just hanging with your dog outside, feeding them, cleaning up a bit around the house, or just dropping in to say "hi" and get some playtime in. Just let me know!
“Amir took great care of our cats and cow while we were away on our trip to Seattle! He was super detailed and asked a lot of great questions during the meet and greet to make sure he was prepared. He was super punctual and took great care of our animals! We will definitely use him again in the future when we need to! Highly recommend!”

“Avalon was fantastic with our senior pup, Sadie! The communication and notes we received while away were very detailed. We will definitely book Avalon again!”

“We have had Shianne watch our cat many times and have always been happy. It is so nice to have a reliable, kind and trustworthy person to care for our cat when we need to go out of town.”

“Lid was great! Responded almost immediately and came over to meet the pets that same evening before we had to leave for the weekend. Walked our big dog daily and even picked up her poops, no easy task! Would definitely hire again!”

About: I love every pet I've ever met, from my childhood hamsters to my three silly cats - and I already know I love yours! I've had my own kitties for 6 years, and I've been taking care of others' cats, dogs, and small animals for even longer, from playful puppies to grumpy feline queens of the house. I can give most kinds of oral and topical medications comfortably if your pet needs any, and I have a decent amount of behavioral experience with anxious pets. I'm also no stranger to incontinence issues, and am more than happy to scrub any carpet. Bring on the enzyme cleaner! I'm in a transitional period right now, so I am happy to spend as much time with your pet as needed to keep their regular routine. As the owner of more than one anxious cat, I know just how important it is to keep your pet's environment as close to normal as possible while you're gone. I'm more than happy to work with you to make your house as close to routine as possible, from feeding times, play styles, or even someone to pounce on at 3am!
“Carolyn is very attentive to my pet and has done a great job with drop ins, especially since my pet was 2 days list op from being neutered and not feeling his best self. I appreciate how caring she is and attentive to his needs.”

“Wonderful! Great communication especially since we were in another country. Our kitty got lots of quality attention and all tasks were expertly completed. Will book again!”

“I had a wonderful experience with Summer checking in and visiting my young and shy kitty Casper! She was always on time or early, and her communication was and is excellent. She sent updates with pictures and videos, and I had total peace of mind knowing Casper was in good hands while I was away. She is so wonderful, she brought little gifts and treats for Casper! I trust and recommend Summer, and I would definitely book her again in the future! 🫶🏼”

“Tiana was great. Very attentive, detail oriented, and communicative. We left our fireplace on, she noticed and asked if we'd like it turned off. She seems to have a knack for dogs and knew all the right things to ask. Our dog loves her and we'll definitely have her pet sit again, if she's willing. :)”

“ChristyLynn was able to accommodate a last minute drop in request. She was great with the dogs, they sense right away if someone is a dog person and she definitely is. She asked if it was ok for her girls to come for an evening visit and the dogs loved that. Great communication and appreciated the pics. Will definitely use her again.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Oregon City
We’ve worked with Katlynne several times and she’s always done a great job! Our pets are pretty high maintenance and we always get nervous leaving them, but she’s very reliable and goes above and beyond our care instructions. She was even willing to check on and feed our chickens!

Erin was a lifesaver when our pet care fell through for our recent vacation. She was amazing with our dog who is usually a little slow to warm to people, and gave us update as to how he and our cat were doing while we were away. Couldn’t recommend Erin enough!

Communicated well, my cats who are cautious when people come over came out every day to see her!!! I had such peace of mind with her caring for my cats while on my trip, which made my time away even more enjoyable! Definitely will use Rachael again in the future!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Oregon City. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
