About: I have had pets in my family ever since I can remember. We have had all types of pets from fish and lizards to cats and dogs and lots of others in between. However, there has almost always been a dog in the house. I have experience training dogs and puppies and use lots of positive reinforcement. I have three dogs of my own. More than one person has called me "The Dog Whisperer"! I try to stay active but often need the motivation. What better way to get some exercise and fresh air than providing the same for man's best friend? I have a flexible schedule and am looking forward to making more four-legged friends. I live in a home on 4+ acres so there is plenty of space for your pup to explore and investigate. There are a number of parks in the nearby area where I like to go and am always looking for new dog-friendly places. There are 8 dogs who live here, three of which are my own (most of the dogs are large breeds). Three of the dogs typically keep to themselves and the other three are fun, energetic besties who love to play. All household members are dog lovers and dog owners.
About: I am a compassionate and dependable pet owner with over a decade of professional experience caring for dogs, cats, and small animals of all ages and needs. I prioritize safety, communication, and comfort for both pets and their humans. Key Strengths - Comprehensive care: Walks, playtime, medication administration, litter maintenance, and vet and grooming appointment trip coordination. - Behavior awareness: Familiar with animal body language as well as stress reduction strategies. - Reliable and friendly communication: Timely updates with pictures and quick check-ins. - Adaptability: Experience with young animals, seniors, special diets, and pets with special needs. Pet and house sitting is a central part of my life and my full-time career. I have open availability for providing your pets with the best care and company they need. I respect both the animal’s routine and the owner’s space. I stick to their usual routines to keep everything familiar. I provide check-ins, updates, and photos during each visit, ensuring pet parents always know how their companions are doing. Cleanliness and safety are always top priorities—I make sure food and water are fresh, spaces are tidy, and pets receive the love they deserve. LGBTQ+ friendly.

“I would rebook with Kat. She took good care of our 3 kitties while we were away. She followed our overly complicated feeding instructions and sent pictures of them eating and a few of them hanging out. One of the weekend days she definitely fed them all breakfast closer to lunchtime, but I still felt like they were in good hands, and in her defense I had expressed some flexibility in their feeding time. She also went out of her way to set our cat camera back up after the cats knocked it over so we could continue spying on one of their favorite hangout spots. Cats were happy and healthy when I got back.”

About: I have taken care of 4 dogs at once. 3 big, 1 small. They required a lot of attention. I also had to give medication to 2 of the dogs. I enjoy spending time with dogs and fitting to their needs I have school during the weekdays from 8-9 am to 2 or 3. I am able to spent the night at peoples houses and change my schedules to fit the dogs needs. I am able to do anything that fits the owners needs. I make sure to watch the dogs often and give them attention they need.
“Margaret is fantastic with my puppy! Always right on time for the check-in and sends the CUTEST photos with a detailed update. It really put my mind at ease knowing my pup was in good hands while I’m at work. Highly professional and clearly a dog lover—I’ll definitely be booking them again!!”

About: I’m a mature lady with a can do attitude. We have had dogs and cats (and a variety of other critters) in our home through the decades. Nothing better than bringing your dog along for that countryside hike/trail walk. At one with nature. I do have the attitude that I’m the boss on the walk and our dogs are part of the pack. I like it best when our dogs have opportunity to be off leash. Not that will happen with your dog unless we find a dedicated off leash park and permission from you. I offer dog walking and pet visits in your home and boarding at my home BOARDING. I require to use a crate at times I’m gone as I live with my disabled adult daughter and care staff. I don’t mind the weather unless it is exceptionally hot or cold for your pet. I’ve got all weather gear! I am available most weekdays from 8am-ish (depending on travel time). I can do some weekend walks depending on length of notice. (my other job is a carer to a person with disabilities) I have a fenced in yard). Crating is an option should any fur baby feel the need to 'get away'. (Our own dog passed over the rainbow bridge in May) I require a meet and greet with new clients prior to accepting a new client. I just want to make sure we’re a good fit all around. This is best done 48-72 hours prior to any booking. A boarding client gets at least two walks a day as well as plenty of yard time if they desire. We have a good sized fenced yard. If I’m gone, your dog will be crated for a short while in a comfy spot. I consider crates as a sanctuary/ a place of safety for your fur baby. I am returning to Rover after some medical issues that needed my full attention. I am now easing back into care services. I am available for the odd walk. I am NOT available for regular daily/weekly scheduled walks. Dog care is part of my regular activities which include yoga, tai chi, volunteer work and care for my adult daughter. Pets in my care enjoy plenty of outdoor time and typically two walks in the daylight hours. They may accompany me on my own appointments when they are pet friendly. I prefer only one pet at a time, but will consider two from same family.
“Christina was amazing! Sent lots of pictures and updates and loved on our dogs while we were away. Definitely recommend and we will definitely have her watch our girls again.”

“Liz did a wonderful job providing three days of drop-in visits for my two large dogs. She gave them excellent care, despite one of the dogs being hesitant to welcome new humans into the house! I recommend Liz's services and will definitely check back again for future visits!”

“I’ve used Bonnie quite a few times now and she always goes above and beyond my expectations. She is my go-to when I go out of town. I will definitely book her again.”

“Adeline is officially my puppy’s favorite sitter, and we look forward to continuing to rebook her exceptional services! 10/10 recommend her to take care of your pets!”

“Kate was wonderful!! She was very communicative, super kind, and Millie loved her drop in visit! Kate was also super accommodating moving the check in time as our plans changed sort of last minute and we are so thankful for knowing our pup was in great hands!!”

“Emily G. is fantastic! She cared for our pittie like she was her own pup. Emily sent us wonderful photos of playing with Roxy, and every meal and walk as well. She was always on time and whenever we came home after Emily had visited, we could tell Roxy was very happy. Roxy is a reactive dog, she is afraid of small animals and very afraid of dogs, and Emily G. was happy to take on this extra work. This means she walked Roxy and when she saw an animal would redirect with treats. Basically Emily helped us train Roxy! I cannot recommend her enough.”

“Trula has been a blessing for Percy and I! I work long shifts so having Trula available to dropin on Percy for his bathroom breaks and some scratches/loves has been amazing and we are so grateful! I appreciate the pictures and videos Trula sends during her visits and the report cards after are very helpful and informative. Trula is great at communicating what Percy needs or what she needs to better care for him. Long story short, if you're looking for someone to care for your pet and she's available, pick Trula!!!”

“Erin was a lifesaver when our pet care fell through for our recent vacation. She was amazing with our dog who is usually a little slow to warm to people, and gave us update as to how he and our cat were doing while we were away. Couldn’t recommend Erin enough!”

“Arian is such a great cat lover and caretaker!! I felt completely at ease leaving her my keys for drop ins to my place, and from the looks of the photos and videos my cats will honestly miss her once I’m home! Fantastic experience.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in New Era. On Rover:
- 97% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
