“This was our second time setting up a cat-sitting with Juliann, and she and her family were lovely as ever! Love the real-time photos and updates we get, and we feel so comfortable having her and her kids in our home. Not to mention that our cat is obsessed with her son—I think our kitty was disappointed it was my husband and I who walked through the door after our trip and not Juliann and her kids! 😆 Highly recommend Juliann!”

“I have asked for Erich’s help watching my cat Yoko several times now, he is fantastic! Really great communication and is willing to help on short notice. Most importantly he takes great care of Yoko. Truly one of the best rover sitters I’ve ever used.”

“Thank you Elizabeth for taking great care of our cats! We really appreciated the communication and all that you did to make sure they were happy and comfortable while we were gone.”

“.Jeanette made it possible for me to get away for a badly needed vacation. She cared for my 2 cats and was very communicative, sending photos and updates and tried hard to play with my older, lazy cats. All of us were much less anxious when we got home knowing they were being fed and cared for and were not being abandoned.”

“Sarah is amazing with my two dogs, she is very reliable and prompt as a sitter with Rover. This was my first experience using Rover and it was a huge success. My four legged fur babies absolutely loved the e time she spent with them.”

“We had the pleasure of having Katie over to walk our pup today. It was a very last-minute booking, and I fumbled the time, but Katie was able to accommodate a different time and went above and beyond. We messaged Katie the morning of letting her know that our pup wasn’t feeling well and special care instructions. She responded right away that she understood and that it was no problem. I received tons of photos from her while she was here and put me right at ease 🙏”

About: Love helping dogs of all sizes enjoy nature and release their energy! I know life gets busy and we all want the best for our pets! Pretty open and flexible - working part-time as I perform a bit of a career pivot. Plenty of time in the mornings and afternoons, as well as at night, but evenings can be arranged Happy to meet and go over any specific training or habits that work for your pups. I traditionally don’t do a bunch of treat giving, but happy to do so.
“Xanthia and her kids took great care of our cats while we were on vacation for a week. It is evident that they really love animals and my cats were so happy to get lots of attention while we were away. I would absolutely hire Xanthia again!”

“Sky did a fantastic job cat sitting for us. She communicates clearly whenever issues come up, and she’s wonderfully easygoing which makes a huge difference when you’re out of town and trying to keep your stress levels low. She knows how to handle unusual cats like mine, who will plot an escape the moment she’s left alone too long. She also takes initiative with cleanup, and she keeps wonderful, detailed notes. Thank you, Sky!”

About: Ive taken care of cats and dogs my entire life. My goal is to be a comforting presence in your home for your pet. I love animals and would love to meet your pet I am free most of the day as I am doing school online, so I’m always free to pop in for visits or stay longer Your pets are my first and top priority so anything I do is going to be rooted in taking care of your animal and home
About: I have experience in giving pets medications weather its pills or injection. I have experience in elderly pets, I am very patient and very attentive, and I have great communication. I do pet care as my main job, so it fits in my day perfectly. Plus I can take the pet (s) with me when I have to leave the apartment for any length of time. I will always communicate with the owners before hand. I am VERY attentive to every pet/clients that I take care of. I always make sure to have some booties on hand. Depending on the weather, I always make sure the pet is in the shade, on the grass, or even some dirt. I make sure that I have extra pet rain gear as well
About: I’ve owned pets my whole life, but really didn’t start feeling the weight of the responsibility until probably mid high school, when the reality of adult life was looming over my head! I have taken care of dogs ranging from the size of a tiny Chihuahua, to a large St Bernard (so much drool, so many big fluffy hugs!) I have experience with giving medication (even to the ones who might not like their meds), I LOVE teaching dogs new tricks and (as I have a 10 year old daughter and a 1 year old toddler) I have all the patience in the world to get them on track with that new trick! I don’t have an incredible way with words, and I don’t know how to be a convincing person over the internet, but I promise you that your fur babies are going to be nothing but loved, spoiled, and well taken care of when in my care 😊 I am a stay at home mom! On school days I’m usually only gone from the house for 10-15 minutes to take my 10 year old to and from school, but am usually free after that! If your pet enjoys car rides, I also love having a happy little companion sniffing some fresh air in the passenger seat or back seat! 😊 We have a bottom floor apartment with a patio that leads right out onto some grass for potty breaks. I also believe that your pets health is just as important as a humans, so while I do love to give treats and yummies it is ALWAYS in moderation and according to serving size on the bag, so there’s no worry that I’m going to be sliding them a slice of pizza or anything! If you need me to come to your home, I am a heavy rule follower, always have been and always will be, so as long as I have some instruction from your end on what you would like done, I will respectfully do what needs to be done for your fur baby!

I am currently looking to change my employment and would like to start this on the weekend and see how it grows. I am a hardworking, trustworthy, pet lover that wants the best for you and your pet. I have a cat and dog that love each other very much. I have a friendly, gentle approach with my pets as I will have with yours.
About: I started taking care of pets while I was in university, which helped me earn extra income and gain hands-on experience with animals. I studied psychology, and during my training I learned about classical and operant conditioning, which gave me a strong foundation in understanding both human and pet behavior. I have cared for dogs in New York and Portland, adapting to different routines, personalities, and environments. Pet care fits naturally into my routine. I’m available every day, with the exception of Mondays through Fridays between 9am to 2pm. Outside of that window, I have flexible availability and can fully focus on the pets in my care. A typical day depends on the pet’s needs, but it usually includes morning and evening walks, feeding at their scheduled times, playtime, mental stimulation, and plenty of affection. I’m very attentive to routines, so I try to keep pets on a schedule that feels familiar and comforting to them. If I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I make sure to respect their space and follow all instructions closely so pets feel safe and relaxed in their own environment. I provide calm, structured, and loving care. I pay close attention to each pet’s behavior, energy level, and signals so I can respond appropriately. I follow feeding instructions carefully, maintain clean spaces, and make sure pets get the right balance of activity and rest. Because of my background in psychology and behavioral conditioning, I’m especially mindful of positive reinforcement, routines, and reducing stress. I always prioritize safety, comfort, and emotional well-being.
“Katie did a great job looking after my older dog. She was right on time, obviously caring and followed all the instructions left for her, even sending photos of her visits. I highly recommend and would definitely hire Katie again.”

About: I'm a positive reinforcement–based dog trainer. If you're working on training with your dog, I'm happy to reinforce those skills while you're away to help maintain the progress you've made. I'm comfortable with dogs of all ages, as well as dogs that may need a little extra patience or understanding. Every dog is different, and I think their care should reflect that. I'll tailor each visit to your dog's personality, routine, and needs. I have a flexible daytime schedule, which makes it easy to fit in walks and drop-in visits throughout the day. I'm usually able to accommodate a variety of times for either one-time visits or something more regular. My goal is to stick to your dog's normal schedule and routines as closely as possible. Just let me know what that looks like, and I'll make it happen. When I'm in your home, I follow the Scout motto: "Leave it better than you found it." I'll treat your home with the same care and respect I'd want someone to show mine.
About: Want to have no worries when your away for a night or more? Look no further. I worked in the vet field for over 8 years, I can administer medication if needed. I love animals, we have 2 heelers of our own - our red female is almost 4 yrs old and super friendly and spunky. We have a blue male heeler that is just over a year and is a complete ball of energy. Than we have one cat that is indoor only and is our daughter’s. I have one teen, she loves to help if I am pet sitting animals that are good with kids, she has been helping me for years (only with approval from owner). I would come to your house and check on your pet(s) and/or take him/her/them for a walk, twice or more times per day (price may vary on how many times). I am also fine with weekend overnights, schedule permitting. I can do this for any type of pet (dog, cat, rabbit, bird, iguana, etc). If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. I look forward to hearing from you and caring for your loved ones. Why I Love Pet Sitting I have never been without a dog or cat. I have had many breeds of dog and cats and at one time, when my mom's dog had puppies I helped her with that. I also was responsible for raising 12 abandoned kittens at my first vet clinic job. My home has also felt more like a farm with the variety of animals that we have had. I have also cared for injured birds and other wildlife when needed. I work full time from home so if you are close by I can easily take breaks and go do check ins or walks - I am generally available for most of the day since I work early. I am very well versed in taking care of animals with my background. Playing fetch, crating in needed, long walks and I even will play with the kitties. I don’t mind feeding fish or taking care of birds as well. I love talking to animals and making them feel comfortable in their home when I am there.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Wilsonville
Emily did a wonderful job taking care of Loki while we were away. She was very attentive and went above and beyond, spending extra time playing with him and keeping him company. We really appreciated the updates and knowing Loki was in great hands. We would absolutely recommend Emily!

Myr was fantastic! He went above and beyond to spend time with my cats and make sure they got attention while I was away. He provided timely and detailed updates and photos of every visit and was very responsive to messages. I will definitely rebook with him the next time I need a cat sitter.

Ashley was so good with drop-in visits for my two kitties! (I knew it was a perfect match during our meet-and-greet, when my normally shy Esme came right up to her.) Ashley took time to play with them during drop-ins and her photos of them being healthy and happy were so reassuring. Ashley is also amazing to work with — flexible when I needed and extra day. She's a great communicator and just a great human. It's hard to leave Zeke and Esme when I travel, but I know they're in great hands with Ashley.

Madelyne was communicative and clearly cared not only about the wellbeing of the animals but about their comfort as well. everything was in tip-top shape upon my return, which as anyone who has left their beloved pets over an extended holiday knows is such a relief to be able to step into a house without surprises. Would highly recommend you book with Madelyne if her availability aligns with yours and you need someone who is consistent, communicative, and caring.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
