“Shelby is amazing and I am so glad I found her through Rover! She has taken care of our kitties, Tuna and Blue twice now and each time she sends pictures. Even my super shy kitty comes out to play with her. She was very helpful when we had an unexpected delivery as well. I know my kitties are in great hands with Shelby!”
“Roger was very responsive and took great care of my little dachshund. They were very patient with my dog, and my dog even opened up to them from the jump which can be rare. Very attentive to detail and the care guide. Would definitely recommend!”

“Trula has been a blessing for Percy and I! I work long shifts so having Trula available to dropin on Percy for his bathroom breaks and some scratches/loves has been amazing and we are so grateful! I appreciate the pictures and videos Trula sends during her visits and the report cards after are very helpful and informative. Trula is great at communicating what Percy needs or what she needs to better care for him. Long story short, if you're looking for someone to care for your pet and she's available, pick Trula!!!”

“I have asked for Erich’s help watching my cat Yoko several times now, he is fantastic! Really great communication and is willing to help on short notice. Most importantly he takes great care of Yoko. Truly one of the best rover sitters I’ve ever used.”

“Heather is amazing! She gave us strong peace of mind during our vacation as we knew our sweet Luther was in good hands. Heather was attentive and followed our instructions perfectly, making sure our cat had lots of play time and got attention while we were away. On top of that, Heather was so communicative and responded quickly to our messages. Def hiring Heather again!!”

About: Hello! I was previously a regular house sitter, walker, day carer, and day time visitor in Seattle prior to relocating to Oregon. I'm a physical therapist with expertise in humans and was raised around caretaking for family, friends, dogs, and cats. I have my own dog named Benji who is a testament to my love and nurturing skills. I'm working part-time in the Portland area and live close to the Tualatin community park. I've cared for dogs from ranges of large and small, puppies to seniors, as well as cats. In Seattle, I spent did some puppy and behavioral training specific to potty, leash, feeding, and tricks/obedience training. I have supplies to keep your pets smelling clean and fresh for returning from adventures. My car is dog friendly with a cover if your pet likes a nearby park/trail. I'm adaptable and teachable to understand your pet's personality as I am for humans in my career. When it comes to my cats, I respect their rules and needs. I’ve done drop ins for litter boxes, cuddles, refills for food/water, and occasionally medication. For more independent cats, I try to ensure they know a human is there to care and available for affection, but will not intrude on their space. I've had my own range of cats and kittens growing up. I'm primarily available for dog/cat sitting, drop ins, and walks. Since I have my own dog, I will always ask what's comfortable to you and your pets when it comes to group walks, car rides, and introducing my dog (or not). I've previously cared for pets that benefit from social time and my dog is a great neutral friend. My daytime drop ins can be flexible as needed based on whether they just need company or more enrichment related activities to be done together. I have taught and implemented enrichment and training during my drop ins, helped resupply or clean equipment (kong's, enrichment sniffer trays, lick trays, feed machines, etc). I'm currently working part time in Portland as a physical therapist and have control over my schedule. This means I can be flexible, available first thing in the mornings or early afternoons Monday-Thursdays with notice. My weekends are updated regularly and are typically Friday-Sunday. I live with my fiancé, who’s a doctor on alternating/rotating schedules and is an amazing dog dad! That said, he would be caring for our dog when I’m with your pets, and will only join/visit in care with your consent if it's in the home or a doggy day care day. My home has a fenced backyard on a sloped decline. It's great for short runs and fetch. I also have a backyard balcony with a turf mat for those that like to sunbathe. Inside, dogs would be on the first floor and is best suited for small to medium sized dogs. Our home has hardwood floors and does not have a dedicated open area, but our suburban neighborhood is walkable, with community park and two large open fields. In your home, I'm experienced in crate training, using/setting up play pens, helping/cleaning with potty training, dog proofing, and supervising play time closely. I wouldn't leave anything harmful out that I wouldn't want my own pet near. When I'm caring for your pet, I give the same amount of love I would to my own. I understand that most behaviors from pets are always well intended and a sign of needs, so I make time and effort to understand their needs and yours as well!

“This was my first booking with Michelle, and our senior cat immediately decided she was a new friend. It was very reassuring to see how relaxed and comfortable he was while we were away. Michelle was prompt, communicative, and sent thorough updates after each visit. We came home to a calm, content cat and would happily book with her again.”

“Renee was wonderful! She clearly has a passion for taking care of pets and took time to really get to know our Nova so she could provide the best possible care. We received regular updates, detailed notes, and the sweetest photos that gave us total peace of mind while we were away. Not only was our cat happy and relaxed when we returned, but everything in our home was spotless and just as we left it. Highly recommend Renee!!”

“Whitney is incredible! She dropped in to walk our two dogs twice a day while we were out of town. She was very thorough with her check ins and I felt great leaving them in her hands. Would highly recommend Whitney!”

“Absolutely amazing! She sent pictures of the pets and took care of the house. I was super anxious to leave all the pets and she made the week go by with ease. Will definitely book again!”

“Rylie was amazing. Took great care of our cats and went above and beyond multiple times. Even got our super shy car to come out and hang. Which has never happened before with a rover . Can tell she really cares about the animals she works with and will 100% book again if they’re available for our next trip.”

“J Does a great job with my pup and yesterday was super helpful because she drilled him on his commands and helped get some kongs prepped. J is reliable and communicates well.”

“Katie did a great job looking after my older dog. She was right on time, obviously caring and followed all the instructions left for her, even sending photos of her visits. I highly recommend and would definitely hire Katie again.”

“Katie was amazing! Katie showed up on time, was very respectful of my home and showed great understanding of just what my older senior cat needed. Katie sent me pictures at every check-in and made sure my baby was eating while I was gone ( which was my biggest concern with going away!). Thank you Katie! Will definitely be using Katie’s services again and would highly recommend.”

Norwood cat parents share their Rover experiences
This was my first booking with Michelle, and our senior cat immediately decided she was a new friend. It was very reassuring to see how relaxed and comfortable he was while we were away. Trula is the best! Our dog doesn't always do well meeting new people and he warmed up to her quickly. I look forward to having her stay with our pets, I know they'll be well taken care of. She is communicative and punctual, and has such a calm and kind presence.

Roger and his family took wonderful care of our cat while we were gone. They are trustworthy, reliable, friendly and a very caring family. They took daily pictures and videos and they were very observant as to describing our kitty's behavior and idiosyncrasies. We are so happy to have found them. I would highly recommend them.

Renee was wonderful! Highly recommend Renee!!

We can't say enough good things about our experience working with Deborah! This was our first big trip since one of our cats went through some serious health scares this year, so we were anxious about leaving them for this extended trip. After meeting Deborah though, it became clear that she is such a thoughtful, caring cat sitter and that we'd have nothing to worry about. The cats were immediately at ease with her, and she was so committed to understanding our cats' specific needs (including giving meds, tracking weight, and working with our vet tech to administer subcutaneous fluids). During the trip she sent us regular detailed updates and made sure to ask questions whenever any of the directions we left were unclear. We loved receiving so many wonderful photos and videos of the cats playing with Deborah - it allowed us to fully enjoy our time with family seeing how much love and care our kitties were getting over the holidays (especially our one cat that is typically so shy with new people!). Returning home, it's as if we never left. The kitties were so relaxed (clearly having received so much love and attention from Deborah) and the home was neat and tidy. Our medically challenged boy somehow had more energy than before we left! Whether you have young or senior kitties, and whether you need drop-in visits or long-term care, we can't recommend Deborah enough. She is truly a cat whisperer, and we are so grateful we found her! We will 100% be asking her for help again during any future travel. Thank you for everything Deborah!

We are very pleased with Aleen's care of our cat Tulip. While Tulip was pretty timid, Aileen was making progress with her by the time we returned. I found Aileen to perfectly follow the feeding and litterbox instructions I left her (believe me, I've had some epic fails in the past with other services). A huge thank you to Aileen from me and Tulip.
