“This was our first time hiring a pet sitter, let alone using Rover. We had considered hiring two other sitters previously, but decided against it because of poor communication or no shows. We found Brittaney and it was immediately a breath of fresh air. 🙏 She responded quickly, we were able to book with her last minute, she communicated in friendly, caring, and professional manner. While we were away, she sent us all kinds of pictures, spent time really trying to bond with our cats, and truly made us feel like they were in great hands. Not only is Brittaney excellent at what she does, but you can truly tell she has a passion for loving animals. I’d very much hire Brittaney again, and plan on it when the need arises. 🙏🙏”

“There aren’t enough stars to convey how positive I feel about Sydney and the care she provided for my two kitties. Sydney is THE BEST!! This is the first time I’ve left my two cats in someone else’s care and actually relaxed & didn’t worry the whole time!! Both kitties warmed up to Sydney. (Even my very shy little girl, Maizie,) at our Meet& Greet. It was clear to me that Sydney loves cats and loves her job🧡🧡🧡 We had great communication & she kindly put up with my multiple questions and endless list of notes I left for her. !! I would easily leave her 10 STARS if allowed. Sydney is a true gem & I probably never leave town again unless she’s available to care for Meekowitz & Maizie😽. She’s that good‼️🐈⬛🐾🐈”

“J Does a great job with my pup and yesterday was super helpful because she drilled him on his commands and helped get some kongs prepped. J is reliable and communicates well.”

“This was my first booking with Michelle, and our senior cat immediately decided she was a new friend. It was very reassuring to see how relaxed and comfortable he was while we were away. Michelle was prompt, communicative, and sent thorough updates after each visit. We came home to a calm, content cat and would happily book with her again.”

With past clients I have administered oral and injected medications while following proper safety standards. My schedule is very flexible, and can fit a variety of care needs. Feel free to message me, and we can work something out. When I'm not taking my own pet out for adventures, I'd love to care for your fur babies! I am detail oriented, and have experience working with escape-prone pets, and keeping them safe. I love working with pets in clean environments, and believe that your pets deserve only the best care.
“Camille and her daughter did great with my two cats, one of whom is a kitten. They’re both sweet cats, but Duvalin can be shy and they were still able to coax her out of her shell for some playtime. We did not even do a meet & greet in person beforehand, but Camille followed my written instructions perfectly.”

About: Hi, my name is Natasha and I look forward to caring for your beloved pet! I grew up with cats and love every dog I meet. While I don't own a dog, my friends' dogs love me and I regularly walk my neighbor's dog. He get so excited when he sees me heading up the driveway! We will get outside time in (according to your preference) as well as snuggle and play time. I have access to a large fenced area to exercise dogs and a clean, welcoming home for all manner of pets. I love to take dogs for long walks and can ensure they return to you with wagging tails and wanting to come back to see me again.
“Danielle is great! She took such good care of my cat, Kali, who had never been left by herself! She also fed my fish, kept their water cool and watered my avocado trees!! Which are thriving! I will definitely use her again!!”

“Rylie took amazing care of our two cats while we were in Europe for 9 days. Even got our very shy cat to hang out with her and gave them both ample playtime and attention. Boxes were scooped and house was in good shape when we got home as well. 10/10 will book again!”

“Whitney is incredible! She dropped in to walk our two dogs twice a day while we were out of town. She was very thorough with her check ins and I felt great leaving them in her hands. Would highly recommend Whitney!”

About: Mother to two four-legged babies, friend to all! Hi there! I’m Faith, a lifelong animal lover and proud cat mama to two sweet girls: Muffins, my 6-year-old orange tabby, and Noralise, my playful American Shorthair. I adopted Muffins when she was 11 months old and Nora at just 2 months, and they’ve been my heart ever since. Before becoming a cat mom, I grew up surrounded by dogs, mostly Beagles and Pit Bulls, so I’m comfortable caring for both small and large breeds. My family’s beloved pit bull, SaSa, lived a long and happy life until age 15/16. I helped care for her throughout her life from 6 months old into her adulthood and then her senior years. I would help her up and down stairs, applying topical creams, warming up kibble with broth, and making sure she stayed comfortable every day. Layla, my red-nosed Pit Bull (you’ll spot her in the Christmas sweater in my photos!), passed in July 2024 at around 10 years old. We shared hundreds of walks, hikes, and car rides, and even the occasional pup cup after vet visits. After her emergency hysterectomy in 2019, I gained valuable hands-on experience giving both topical and oral medications, which I’ve also applied when caring for my cats after they have undergone being spayed, aMuffins dental treatments. From administering flea & tick treatments to preparing raw, dry, or canned meals (plus supplements!), I’ve built strong experience in pet health and daily care. I’m confident in dog walking, safe playtime, and of course, an expert in scratches, snuggles, and making pets feel loved. I truly adore my animals, all animals, and treat every pet I meet as if they were my own. You can trust that your furry friend will be cared for with patience, love, and genuine attention while they’re with me. Im a full time Federal Employee. During most work weeks i’m available around 4:30 pm-8pm. Most weekends my schedule is more opened up for mornings and afternoons. Please message me before booking something M-F if services are needed before 4:30pm. I will do my ultimate best to respond timely! While I do not offer services within my own home for clients. I promise to always respect ones home and belongings. As I would want mine respected. Personally I like to check in on my lazy loafs so I do have in home cameras. If you do too, absolutely no problem at all. For reservations where I am dropping in on a dog or a cat, I would sweep up any tracked litter around the litter box as part of cleaning it out- and with towel or napkins available, wipe doggy paws after outside time if preferred. Again, I would want my own space respected so please communicate with me regarding your needs/expectations.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Tigard
Danni was amazing with our 2 cats while we were traveling. One of them has a high need for play and cuddles, and the other is highly anxious and shy. She met both of their needs beautifully and they were in love with her by day two. We always knew exactly how they were doing and got many pictures and updates. Danni was professional, reliable, easy to communicate with and she speaks cat fluently. We would hire her again in a heartbeat!

Alyssa is the best! She’s got both heart and science in giving my boy the best care. I’m always amazed at how much care she can fit into a half hour visit, especially since my senior kitty has special needs. I was really nervous signing up for this new service, and she held my hand through the whole process and answered all of my questions expertly. We have now been working together for a year! I feel 100% confident when I need to leave town that my kitty is in the best hands!

Danielle took great care of Eva and Johnny while I was out of town. She was communicative and showed that my cats were in great hands. She was also great at giving action shots during check-ins. I would highly recommend booking her as a sitter if you get the chance!

Absolutely AMAZING. Thank you so much for taking care of my girls. The fact you know how to give insulin is awesome! Also thank you for bringing in my package that was so sweet of you. I loved all the photos and how you wrote the notes every time you came by. I don’t go on vacation often but when I do I will hit you up and hopefully the girls will remember you and be nicer lol. Thank you again truly. My last experience (outside of rover) was horrible and I’m so grateful for you. <3 1000/10 stars.

I was sad to leave my senior kitty for a few days, but I felt completely confident he'd be in good hands with Kaelyn! I'm so grateful for the care she provided while I was gone. She really takes the time to make sure your pet is comfortable and happy. If I ever need a sitter again I'd love for Kaelyn to visit again. Thank you so much!!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Tigard. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
