About: Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I’ve never let myself go without having a dog. For over 25 years I’ve cared for pets of all ages, breeds, and temperaments - puppies through seniors, anxious rescues, and high-energy dogs. I’m in SW Portland with my Greater Swiss Mountain Dog Layla, and I provide you with updates so you can actually relax while you’re away. I work mostly from home, which means plenty of outdoor breaks and consistent supervision throughout the day. My Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, Layla, is two years old, easygoing, and great with all sizes — she just loves having a friend around. My kids (11 and 14) are here half the time and are natural animal lovers, so your pet will have no shortage of company and attention. About: I have helped train and take care of many dogs old dogs that have been on hospice and dogs that are a couple months old. I help with Guide Dogs for the Blind and help train guide dog puppies before they are one. We have a Guide Dog puppy in our care right now so I wake up feed him, potty him and leave for school. Come home potty him sometimes take time to train and walk him and play. I snuggle with my cat and he falls asleep right away in my lap after doing his biscuits. When ever our dogs are in the yard I even though we have a fence make sure they are safe and have gone to the bathroom. Talking and playing with the dogs to make sure they know I am a safe person. Same with cats they can be timid so not rushing to pet or be to close to their safe space. Let them tell me what they need/want.
About: Hey, I'm Maia and I've been taking care of pets since the age of ten, I love all animals and personally have 3 cats but have also previously had two dachshunds. Throughout the years I've taken care of a multitude of animals from large golden retrievers to small rodents. Elizabeth was amazing with our older cat and puppy! Our fur babies were very well taken care of and you can tell that she has a genuine love for animals. This was our first time away from our puppy and Elizabeth provided the kind of care that made it easy to enjoy our vacation and not worry about how things were going at home.
