About: Hiya! I’m a newer resident of the Portland area with a longtime background of caring for pets of friends and family hoping to fill a need in you and your pet’s lives. I love going on longer walks/excursions with dogs but also love just spending time in the neighborhood. I’m currently a part time post grad student looking to do some pet care during the day on weekdays, I can do weekends but mostly I’m looking for people wanting and needing pet time during their day to day work schedules when they can’t get home. I’m hoping to be as seamless into your life and schedule as possible. About: I want your pet to feel like they're with a friend, so I go out of my way to build their trust and ensure they have a positive experience. Though not currently a pet owner, I've had several pets throughout my life and have volunteered for both the Humane Society and a wildlife hospital, where I gained experience with administering care and medicine to animals. I'm semi-retired, so have the time and flexibility to do things that I love-and one of the things I love most is spending time with animals! I take extra care with pets to "meet them where they are," which means paying attention to their cues and adjusting my approach to ensure they feel safe. About: I’ve had animals my whole life from mastiffs and labs, to a variety of cats, to guinea pigs and frogs. I love working with animals and have a few years experience volunteering at Safe Haven Humane Society with both dogs and cats! I have classes mid-day usually from noon to 4pm so anytime outside of that is sure to work! I can also do those times some days of the week so feel free to check just in case! I am comfortable handling all sizes of dog. I can also trim nails provided you have clippers and your dog has no history of aggression during grooming! I have trained dogs to reduce fear during nail trimmings in the past.
About: I have grown up with both cat and dogs my entire life and was raised on how to take care of them! I was always the person growing up that friends and family reached out to when they needed a dog or cat sitter. I've also worked as a dog walker through a previous service as well. I am currently in between jobs so I am available all week between 6am and 10pm. I am off on the weekends but can make exceptions in some cases. When dropping in or walking pets I make sure they are safe and sound. I check to make sure they have water or food, clean and are happy.
