I grew up around dogs and have had large dogs of my own. This taught me how to care for dogs of all temperaments and how to get to know each dogs preferred walking and play style. I enjoy getting to know each pets rhythms and keeping them conformable as they get their daily exercise. I also offer attentive drop-in visits for feeding, playtime, litter box care, and companionship to help pets feel comfortable and relaxed while you’re away. I provide dependable dog walking and drop-in pet care in Santa Monica for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and energy levels. I have experience with both puppies and senior pets, and I’m comfortable adapting care to each animal’s routine, personality, and needs. Outside of Rover, I’m a wildlife rescue volunteer and foster parent to cats, which has given me hands-on experience with animals from a wide range of backgrounds and temperaments. Whether it’s regular dog walking in Santa Monica or reliable drop-in visits, I prioritize safety, consistency, and making sure every pet feels secure and cared for.

I take the time to get to know each animal so I can provide care that is tailored to their individual needs, routines, and personality. I care for every pet as if they were my own, always paying attention to their comfort, behavior, and well-being. With experience caring for a wide range of animals, I understand that every pet has unique boundaries and quirks, and I make it a priority to respect those while building trust at their own pace. My goal is to ensure each pet feels secure, understood, and comfortable while in my care.

Sophia was amazing. Before the first day she came to meet us and the cats and any listened carefully for instructions about how to feed the cats and anything they needed. She asked questions about needs, food, and if they needed medicine or anything special. When the time came she was great and communicated clearly and took pictures. She went above and beyond and even did extra I didn't ask of her. I would recommend her 10/10 times and will book her again.
She is super easy to work with! And very good and gentle with our cats! Would book with her again :)
Sophia was great! She is communicative, thoughtful and thorough. Most importantly, our Siamese cat loved hanging with her on drop ins. Would absolutely book again!

Sophia was absolutely wonderful. She is a fantastic walker and sitter who is punctual, communicative, and puts the dog's well-being first. When my dog was feeling anxious and refusing walks during the visits, Sophia handled it beautifully—she adapted very well, sat down to comfort my dog, and communicated with me. She made sure my dog was well-fed and cared for. Will be booking her again in the future!
Sophia has loved animals since she was a little girl. Sophia has grown up with dogs and has loved them! Sophia’s first word was DOG! She has a great connection to animals and is very reliable and trustworthy. She also is very strong and fit to walk or run with your animal. ,

Schedule
I am currently on a gap summer before continuing my education, and enjoy pet sitting as a way to save up some money for school between volunteering and working on my summer research project.
