“Stephanie and Alex were an absolute pleasure to work with. They’re the definition of professional and took incredible care of our two kitties while we were away. We had total peace of mind knowing they were in such great hands and would absolutely book with them again.”

“Alex was so helpful taking care of our kitties checking in on them while we were away. They sent pictures and updates and our interactions with them were so positive!”

About: I’ve taken care of pets for friends and family for years. All different kinds of dogs and cats of different ages. Whether staying for long periods of time or just dropping in. I’m happy to spend time with pets, take dogs out for walks, bring my laser pointer for cats, etc. I am currently working remotely full time, 8-5. I can stop by before, after, and during my lunch for a good amount of time. I could make sure they’re checked on every 4-6 hours if I can’t be with them all day. I think it’s important to keep pets in a space they’re comfortable in and not change routine so much. I try to take extensive notes on what their day to day life is like. When they eat, where they sleep, walk times and lengths, etc.

“I cannot recommend Mary Anne enough! My husband and I both work long hours and she took amazing care of our dog Frank during her drop ins. She even brought in our garbage bins from the street and brought our package on the porch inside our house. She is great and I look forward to rebooking with her in the future :)”

About: I’m a recently retired (lol) ER Vet assistant , I have a lot of experience handling dogs of all sizes! Whether that be providing medical care or tons love! I have a dog and cat of my own and grew up with pets as well! I’m available Friday/Saturday and can drop in to play with your pet anytime or take them on a nice walk! I would prefer to do walks prior to the sun going down but can always drop in late at night for those who work graveyard shifts! Trust is such a big part of meeting a pet for the first time! I would ensure that I take the time to make your pet feel comfortable and not threatened by letting them warm up to me prior to any interaction. I would also be respectful to the boundaries set by you for your home/pet!

“Justina is fantastic! She has been super responsive and communicative. I feel reassured we found someone who really cares to come look after our pups. Don’t hesitate booking with her!”

“Can’t recommend Adriana enough!! Our pup has a highly anxious temperament when meeting new people, Adriana was incredibly supportive and patient following our instructions when meeting Arrow. We booked two walks together to see if our dog would be accepting and clam around her, she made him feel at ease from the very first day and thats rare for him! If you have an anxious pup or a rescue who’s had a difficult past like our pup, I highly recommend Adriana. We’re so excited to have found a sitter we can finally leave our pup with and know he won’t be anxious and scared at boarding but instead at home getting love from adriana! She also provided many updates throughout our trip, sent pictures and notified us of any changes in his food or potty routine. We’re already planning on her help in December and many months to come!”

“Alison dropped in on my kitty every morning and gave such a sweet and prompt report on how he’s doing. We will definitely ask her to check on him next time we’re out of town!”

“If you are looking for someone who is caring and experienced, look no further; Lucinda has been such a blessing to my senior, blind, fur baby. She takes her time respecting your pet so that they can get to know each other, which demonstrates her star sitter commitment. I have felt at ease knowing that my fur baby is well taken care of and have appreciated her kind hearted nature 🥹 Thank you Lucinda!”

About: Rover is my full time job so taking care of your pet is my highest priority. I recently worked as a Dog Handler and Lead Assist for 2 years where I monitored dogs, cleaned up after them as well as feeding and administering medications. I have worked at 3 different doggy day cares and I have a lot of experience handling dogs. I grew up with a dogs and cats and have experience with puppies/kittens as well as senior cats and dogs. I spend most of my time outside enjoying what nature had to offer as well as reading books and spending time with family. I have a lot of experience with cats and have helped foster kittens for the humane society for years. I also used to have a pet rabbit named Edgar and I treated him like a prince!. I treat every animal as if they are my own because each animal is special. Animals are my passion and I love them with all my heart. I have 5 cats at home as well as 1 beautiful parakeet. I live with my parents so when I’m at your home watching your dog or cat, my parents are taking care of the cats and bird. Rover is my only job so I can take good care of your animals. I do have lots of dog walks during the day so I would need to be able to leave your house sometimes up to 5 hours a day. Other than the walks and some appointments I spend all of my free time at your home with your animals. I am familiar with kennels and making sure everything is safe, I take into consideration what you want your pets to eat and what they can’t. I like everything to be clean so they aren’t getting into anything they shouldn’t. I respect if you prefer your dog not to say hello to other dogs on walks just in case the other dog isn’t vaccinated or if they don’t get along with certain dogs. I also refrain from using communal water bowls. I always clean up after dogs. I have pet care insurance as well.

“This was the best possible first experience with Rover! Elizabeth and her kiddos were amazing. They loved on my fur babies, sent photos and updates. My pets were in absolute heaven the entire time. I came home to happy animals and my home exactly as it was. Which is a blessing! I absolutely would hire her every time!”

“Emma was amazing! Our cats clearly loved her and she was so great with communicating with us. We felt completely at ease with leaving our cats at home. Would 100% recommend Emma!”

“Lisha has been very reliable with our weekly schedule, and always communicates well. She has also offered a lot of flexibility to help with on-off needs (like when I travel). Our puppy is always happy to see her, and she gives him lots of play time.”

“Louise was amazing! My dog loved her and she was always communicating with me and keeping me updated on his status. I would definitely recommend her and would love for her to watch Walter again!”

“Rachel takes very good care of my elderly cat. Heidi usually runs away from everyone but it appears as if Rachel has been accepted into Heidi's circle. I feel comfortable leaving Heidi in Rachel's care when I have to go out of town.”
“Clara is great at communicating in advance when there are schedule conflicts (which have been minimal) and in being flexible when things are different for our schedule. And she loves our pup as much as we do.”

Hayley did an excellent job of caring for my cats when I was out of town! She was prompt, a great communicator, and ensured my pets were happy and healthy! My home was well-cared for while I was out. My cats loved her as well! Definitely will rebook in the future!
I had Freya do a quick drop-in visit to prep her for some upcoming stays I booked. She was very attentive to my plethora of details and asked questions to ensure she understood. I was clear she really wants to provide great service and make sure my cat is well cared! It was a good beginning!

Sophia was amazing. Before the first day she came to meet us and the cats and any listened carefully for instructions about how to feed the cats and anything they needed. She asked questions about needs, food, and if they needed medicine or anything special. When the time came she was great and communicated clearly and took pictures. She went above and beyond and even did extra I didn't ask of her. I would recommend her 10/10 times and will book her again.

Emma was so fantastic! She took such good care of our kitties while we were away. She took great photos and gave us very detailed updates, it was really helpful. She was also very accommodating with our schedule and was really great about any changes we needed to make. I would recommend her to anyone 1000000/5 stars!

Casey is easily the best pet sitter we have ever had. She is communicative, caring, and attentive. Our cat’s health declined while we were out of town and she gave us detailed updates and went above and beyond to keep us informed and him comfortable. We can’t recommend her enough.

Christina is simply wonderful in every way. Beyond having an obvious heart for animals, she is honest, trustworthy and kind. She cared for my kitties on short notice while I was out of town and I had complete peace of mind, never thought once about their care, and I am always a little nervous about leaving my 21 year-old cutie (and my shy guy really warmed up to her immediately). If you’re looking for excellent pet care, you don’t need to look any further. I promise you will have peace of mind entrusting your babies with Christina!

Teaghan did a great job making friends with my very shy cat. After a couple of days I could see that they were good buddies and that my cat Honey was having lots of fun with Teaghan. I felt 100% comfortable having Teaghan in my home. She is obviously very responsible and a good communicator.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
