“If Alison is available and you get on her schedule… consider your pet blessed! She’s a gem! Good at her job in every way you would want- reliable, kind, invested, consistent, honest and hard working. Thank you, Alison!!🙏🏻”

“Very happy her service. Worked through our power outage and storms. Took great care of our furry family. Would highly recommend to anyone and would happily use again!”

“We will definitely be using Mary Anne for all our future care needs. She is incredibly thorough and you can tell how much passion and care she has for our furry family. She sent detailed messages and so many pictures of our cats while we were away. Highly highly recommend.”

“Adriana did great with our pup and spent time with him while we were away. We greatly appreciate her service and would highly recommend her to any other families out there.”

“Stacy was a godsend for us when we needed sudden last minute care for our 12 week old puppy. She was flexible with us and provided so many awesome updates and photos each day that we loved seeing! And our puppy was happy, tired out and so content when we got home! We felt so comfortable having Stacy care for our pup from the very beginning as it’s obvious how much she loves animals. We will definitely call on her again in the future! ☺️”

About: Hi! I’m Michelle, and my happy place is anywhere animals are! I’m a seasoned sitter with over a decade of experience caring for pets - and often their second favorite human (after you, of course 😉) What sets me apart from other sitters is that I work remotely as a photographer, which allows me to offer 16+ hours of in-home care and companionship. This means that your pet gets plenty of company, attention, and love throughout the day, and you might get the occasional artsy photo 🥳📸 I can also provide constant care services for pets requiring extra support. This premium offering ensures near round-the-clock companionship. (For more information on my house-sitting offerings, please view the second photo in my album.) I believe in-home care is the best way to keep your pets happy while you’re away, allowing them to remain in a familiar space and maintain their normal routine. When I’m with your pets, we follow their usual schedule as closely as possible. I also tune into their needs throughout the day - whether that’s extra playtime, leisurely walks, or simply relaxing together - so they feel secure, loved, and fully cared for. My goal is to provide your pets complete comfort and give you peace of mind 😌 I’m also a *huge* cat nerd - I have two of my own! I understand the difference in both care and personality between cats and dogs, and I always take the time to build trust and connection at whatever pace they need 🐾 If you’re looking for a sitter who’s reliable, attentive, and respectful of your home and your pets, I’d be honored to care for them. I take this work seriously - and I feel lucky to do it 🤎 I am a self-employed photographer and a lot of my work is remote, so my schedule is flexible and ideal for overnight sitting! Your pets will be kept company most of the day at your home while I work (in reality they’ll be keeping *me* company 😉), and we will follow their usual routine as closely as possible to ensure their comfort and happiness 💜 I provide attentive, personalized care for your pets. I follow your instructions and adapt to each pet’s personality and routine. Oh yeah, and I shower them with lots of love and attention! 🤩
“Emma was amazing. She was not only professional and punctual, but she followed all our instructions perfectly. She was great with our boy, and he loved getting to hang out with her and go on walks. We will be booking with Emma again in the future!”

“Louise was amazing! My dog loved her and she was always communicating with me and keeping me updated on his status. I would definitely recommend her and would love for her to watch Walter again!”

“Chloe has been an absolutely fantastic cat sitter for Pumpkin! She took great care of him, ensuring he was well-fed and keeping his litter box clean. She went the extra mile to try to engage him with playtime, even though he can be a little shy. It’s clear she genuinely cares about animals and their well-being. Knowing he was in such capable hands gave me complete peace of mind. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Chloe to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!”

“Quick to respond on a last minute request to feed our cat Zuzu, was very helpful and willing to accomodate a special request that I hadn't mentioned in intial instructions.”

“Ann is the best! She has watched my parent’s two cats several times now when they are away for the holidays and longer trips. She is always very kind and thoughtful, writes thorough daily updates, and gives the kitties lots of love. One of their cats is quite shy, but she loves Ann! We plan to use her as long as she will let us - it’s such a relief knowing Ann is checking on them.”

“Hayley did such an amazing job with our pup! She made sure to communicate with us about whatever we needed and treated our boy with the best care! All of the pictures she sent showed him looking so happy and it gave us peace of mind. Would definitely book with her again :)”

“Rachel took excellent care of our cats and home while we were away. Even our very shy cat warmed up to her, which is saying something. She was also great about updating us about the cats and house each visit”

“So grateful to have found Elizabeth on Rover! She was incredibly attentive, understanding, and caring with my puppy ! and truly worked magic with her! My dog is usually very shy and scared around new people, but by the end of her stay with Elizabeth and her kids, she looked so happy and confident. I couldn't be more thankful! Elizabeth also sent me regular updates and lots of adorable photos, I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone loving and trustworthy to care for their pet! :)”

“Shannon was super friendly and her updates were so great so we knew our pet was in good care. She left detailed updates and are so happy we went with Shannon”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - West Slope
Sophia was amazing. Before the first day she came to meet us and the cats and any listened carefully for instructions about how to feed the cats and anything they needed. She asked questions about needs, food, and if they needed medicine or anything special. When the time came she was great and communicated clearly and took pictures. She went above and beyond and even did extra I didn't ask of her. I would recommend her 10/10 times and will book her again.

Emma was so fantastic! She took such good care of our kitties while we were away. She took great photos and gave us very detailed updates, it was really helpful. She was also very accommodating with our schedule and was really great about any changes we needed to make. I would recommend her to anyone 1000000/5 stars!

Elizabeth was amazing with our older cat and puppy! Our fur babies were very well taken care of and you can tell that she has a genuine love for animals. This was our first time away from our puppy and Elizabeth provided the kind of care that made it easy to enjoy our vacation and not worry about how things were going at home.

Casey is easily the best pet sitter we have ever had. She is communicative, caring, and attentive. Our cat’s health declined while we were out of town and she gave us detailed updates and went above and beyond to keep us informed and him comfortable. We can’t recommend her enough.

Christina is simply wonderful in every way. Beyond having an obvious heart for animals, she is honest, trustworthy and kind. She cared for my kitties on short notice while I was out of town and I had complete peace of mind, never thought once about their care, and I am always a little nervous about leaving my 21 year-old cutie (and my shy guy really warmed up to her immediately). If you’re looking for excellent pet care, you don’t need to look any further. I promise you will have peace of mind entrusting your babies with Christina!

Teaghan did a great job making friends with my very shy cat. After a couple of days I could see that they were good buddies and that my cat Honey was having lots of fun with Teaghan. I felt 100% comfortable having Teaghan in my home. She is obviously very responsible and a good communicator.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in West Slope. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
