“Stephanie and Alex were an absolute pleasure to work with. They’re the definition of professional and took incredible care of our two kitties while we were away. We had total peace of mind knowing they were in such great hands and would absolutely book with them again.”

“Sydney was fabulous! She was very flexible and my dog really enjoyed her company. I had a medical emergency and she jumped right in to help with my pup which I greatly appreciated.”

About: I’m a recently retired (lol) ER Vet assistant , I have a lot of experience handling dogs of all sizes! Whether that be providing medical care or tons love! I have a dog and cat of my own and grew up with pets as well! I’m available Friday/Saturday and can drop in to play with your pet anytime or take them on a nice walk! I would prefer to do walks prior to the sun going down but can always drop in late at night for those who work graveyard shifts! Trust is such a big part of meeting a pet for the first time! I would ensure that I take the time to make your pet feel comfortable and not threatened by letting them warm up to me prior to any interaction. I would also be respectful to the boundaries set by you for your home/pet!

“Mary Anne was a wonderful pet sitter. She took care of our cat for the weekend and was very communicative and kind. I absolutely recommend her and hope to work with her again when we have more travels.”

“Alison and Tom have been doing drop in visits with our puppy for the last six weeks! They have been so great with him and are extremely easy to communicate with! We appreciate their help as we work through the puppy phase!”

“Lisha has been very reliable with our weekly schedule, and always communicates well. She has also offered a lot of flexibility to help with on-off needs (like when I travel). Our puppy is always happy to see her, and she gives him lots of play time.”

“Can’t recommend Adriana enough!! Our pup has a highly anxious temperament when meeting new people, Adriana was incredibly supportive and patient following our instructions when meeting Arrow. We booked two walks together to see if our dog would be accepting and clam around her, she made him feel at ease from the very first day and thats rare for him! If you have an anxious pup or a rescue who’s had a difficult past like our pup, I highly recommend Adriana. We’re so excited to have found a sitter we can finally leave our pup with and know he won’t be anxious and scared at boarding but instead at home getting love from adriana! She also provided many updates throughout our trip, sent pictures and notified us of any changes in his food or potty routine. We’re already planning on her help in December and many months to come!”

“Emma was amazing. She was not only professional and punctual, but she followed all our instructions perfectly. She was great with our boy, and he loved getting to hang out with her and go on walks. We will be booking with Emma again in the future!”

About: I’ve had a love for animals my whole life, I’ve had cats and dogs since I was born and currently have 5 pets at home! (2 dogs 3 cats) I have been house sitting my pets for a few years while my parents go out of town, and have also helped a few family friends with their pets. I have dealt with untrained dogs, high maintenance dogs, seniors, puppies, and urinary issues. I’m currently working part-time from 5-9pm. Before then, I will have all day to tend to your pets and let them out for some exercise and potty breaks. When I do run errands, I am never gone for more than 3 hours at a time. For dog walking, I am able to walk however far your dog needs to ensure they get the right amount of exercise. For sitting, I will make sure your pet gets let out for potty breaks and the proper amount of care during the day, whether it is a walk or a small training exercise. For drop in visits, I will tend to whatever your pet needs during that visit.
“Lucinda is the best of the best! My kitty immediately fell in love with her. We will absolutely be checking her availability first before anyone else. Thank you so much for your care and attention. She really is as great as everyone says!”

“Our cats loved Rachael right away! We appreciated the special care she took playing with our cats and even asking about our chickens needs. I think our cats are looking forward to future sits with Rachael!”

“Justina is fantastic! She has been super responsive and communicative. I feel reassured we found someone who really cares to come look after our pups. Don’t hesitate booking with her!”

About: What sets me apart is the care and attention I bring to every visit. I’m naturally detail-oriented and believe the little things make a big difference. I double- and triple-check food, water, gates, doors, and instructions so both you and your pet can feel safe and cared for. During a recent week-long pet care visit, I cared for an anxious, high-needs dog who was hesitant to walk with anyone outside her family. By moving at her pace and earning her trust, she happily joined me for several walks and settled in comfortably throughout the week. Experiences like that have deepened my appreciation for dogs and reinforced my belief that patience, consistency, and kindness help every pet feel secure. Whether your companion is energetic, shy, independent, or somewhere in between, I’ll meet them where they are and care for them with the same thoughtfulness I give my own pets. My schedule is currently very flexible, allowing me to provide dependable drop-in visits for both cats and dogs. I have plenty of time for walks, play, enrichment, or simply being a calm, safe, and loving presence in your pet’s home and yard. I’m generally available Monday through Friday between 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m., with occasional weekend availability as well. I believe trust is earned through consistency, communication, and attention to detail. I take time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and comfort level so they can feel as relaxed and secure as possible while you’re away. I’m careful to follow your instructions closely and always double- and triple-check the little things before leaving—doors and gates are secure, water bowls are full, food has been given, litter boxes or potty breaks are complete, and your pet is safe and comfortable. I also treat every home with the same respect and care I would my own, leaving it clean, secure, and just as you left it. My goal is for you to return home to a happy pet and complete peace of mind.
“Louise was amazing! My dog loved her and she was always communicating with me and keeping me updated on his status. I would definitely recommend her and would love for her to watch Walter again!”

About: Rover is my full time job so taking care of your pet is my highest priority. I recently worked as a Dog Handler and Lead Assist for 2 years where I monitored dogs, cleaned up after them as well as feeding and administering medications. I have worked at 3 different doggy day cares and I have a lot of experience handling dogs. I grew up with a dogs and cats and have experience with puppies/kittens as well as senior cats and dogs. I spend most of my time outside enjoying what nature had to offer as well as reading books and spending time with family. I have a lot of experience with cats and have helped foster kittens for the humane society for years. I also used to have a pet rabbit named Edgar and I treated him like a prince!. I treat every animal as if they are my own because each animal is special. Animals are my passion and I love them with all my heart. I have 5 cats at home as well as 1 beautiful parakeet. I live with my parents so when I’m at your home watching your dog or cat, my parents are taking care of the cats and bird. Rover is my only job so I can take good care of your animals. I do have lots of dog walks during the day so I would need to be able to leave your house sometimes up to 5 hours a day. Other than the walks and some appointments I spend all of my free time at your home with your animals. I am familiar with kennels and making sure everything is safe, I take into consideration what you want your pets to eat and what they can’t. I like everything to be clean so they aren’t getting into anything they shouldn’t. I respect if you prefer your dog not to say hello to other dogs on walks just in case the other dog isn’t vaccinated or if they don’t get along with certain dogs. I also refrain from using communal water bowls. I always clean up after dogs. I have pet care insurance as well.
About: I grew up with dogs and had my own dog for 14 years. Dogs are the most wonderful and compassionate beings and I love being around them. Whenever I traveled out town or needed to be away from home for a long day, it was of utmost importance my dog stayed with someone who would care for and love him the way he was accustomed to. It helped me feel more relaxed knowing he was in good hands. I’d like to provide that peace of mind for others. Your dog will bring great loving hands and treated with love and affection so you can have peace of mind away while you’re away from home. Dogs give so much love and deserve all the love we can give :) I currently work full time from home and will be able to give your pet lots of love. They will get plenty of potty breaks and attention. My home is your pets home. They are allowed on the furniture and will get fun walks and lot and lots of pets from me!

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - West Slope
Casey is easily the best pet sitter we have ever had. She is communicative, caring, and attentive. Our cat’s health declined while we were out of town and she gave us detailed updates and went above and beyond to keep us informed and him comfortable. We can’t recommend her enough.

This was our first time leaving our rescue kitty and we weren’t sure how it would go. MaryAnn made it easy and was great at answering all of our questions at Meet and Greet. Fun to get photo and text updates. I appreciate MaryAnn used her experience as a veteran pet sitter to adapt to our kitty’s some time inconsistent eating habits.

Christina is simply wonderful in every way. Beyond having an obvious heart for animals, she is honest, trustworthy and kind. She cared for my kitties on short notice while I was out of town and I had complete peace of mind, never thought once about their care, and I am always a little nervous about leaving my 21 year-old cutie (and my shy guy really warmed up to her immediately). If you’re looking for excellent pet care, you don’t need to look any further. I promise you will have peace of mind entrusting your babies with Christina!

This was the best possible first experience with Rover! Elizabeth and her kiddos were amazing. They loved on my fur babies, sent photos and updates. My pets were in absolute heaven the entire time. I came home to happy animals and my home exactly as it was. Which is a blessing! I absolutely would hire her every time!

Teaghan did a great job making friends with my very shy cat. After a couple of days I could see that they were good buddies and that my cat Honey was having lots of fun with Teaghan. I felt 100% comfortable having Teaghan in my home. She is obviously very responsible and a good communicator.

Louise has been absolutely exceptional with Amani. She is caring, reliable, patient, and truly goes above and beyond. Amani is always happy, playful, and comfortable around her, which gives me a lot of peace of mind. I really appreciate the attention, care, and energy she puts into every visit. It’s clear she genuinely loves animals and treats Amani like her own. I highly recommend Louise to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and amazing to care for their pet.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
