I also work as a writer, which gives me a flexible schedule that varies depending on the pets I'm caring for. During house sits, I may step out for dog walks, drop-in visits, errands, or appointments, but I plan my day thoughtfully around the needs of every pet in my care. If your pet has specific scheduling requirements, I'm happy to discuss them before booking so we can make sure we're a great fit.

I also appreciate knowing about any behavioral concerns, leash reactivity, escape tendencies, anxieties, or other situations I should be aware of. Please don't hesitate to share anything you'd like me to know ahead of time. The more I know, the easier it is for me to help your pet feel comfortable, safe, and at home while you're away.
A typical day
Whenever possible, I structure my day around the routines of the pets in my care. I don't believe there's a "typical" day because every pet is different. Some dogs are happiest playing fetch until they're tired, while others would rather take a leisurely walk and spend the afternoon napping nearby. Some cats want lots of attention, while others prefer quiet companionship. I enjoy getting to know each pet's personality, preferences, and daily rhythm so I can provide care that's tailored to them while keeping their day as familiar and comfortable as possible.

I know trusting someone with your pet can be a big decision. My goal is simple: to provide reliable care that makes your pet feel safe and comfortable, so that you can have peace of mind. No two animals are exactly alike, which is one of my favorite parts of this work. Every dog and cat has their own personality, routines, little quirks, and favorite ways to spend the day. I genuinely enjoy getting to know each pet as an individual and providing care that’s tailored to them. Over the past year, I’ve had the privilege of caring for so many wonderful pets, which has sparked my own interest in canine behavior, enrichment, and positive reinforcement. I'm always learning because I believe the more I understand animals, the better I can care for them. Every pet teaches me something new, and I love that this work allows me to keep growing. When you book with me, you can expect thoughtful care, dependable communication, and respect for both your home and your pet's routine. Freya was the most trustworthy sitter that we have ever had, she took immaculate care of all of our critters, including our little reptile. She kept the house perfectly clean and was extremely polite. We got tons of updates and excellent questions, one of the only sitters that actually asked for a care guide as well. We 100% will be asking her to house sit again, I couldn't imagine having someone better. Our dog in particular is extremely anxious and barks at anyone, but Freya was able to win her over on the meet and greet and had 0 trouble even though other sitters had bad experiences. My dog is incredibly difficult to work with and it's tough to find sitters that work with her.
Freya took care of our pup at our home and she respectful and great with communication. We would be happy to have her back at our home.
