About: Due to issues with marking, I will only sit female dogs. I have two small rescue dogs of my own - both are under 15 pounds and gentle and playful with one another. I'll pamper your dog just as I do my own with plenty of cuddles, a calm environment and a fenced yard for potty breaks. I have extensive experience with dogs on med schedules and special dietary needs. When not out to potty - your dog will be with me - indoors. I am Sixty Seven years of age and a responsible homeowner. There are no children living in or visiting my home. Having your pet in my home is a privilege and I will always provide the optimum care for your pet. Please come visit me! Plenty of love and attention will be given to your pet. Walks, playtime & fetch. Unless provided a crate, your dog will sleep with me and my two small dogs, unless owner requests they be crated, or the breed or age of pet makes sleeping on a bed inadvisable. Effective 7/27/21: Any medical needs, special diet or requirements, a written list of that/those condition(s) is required. DROP OFF: BEFORE 9am PICKUP: 8:30pm-10:00pm. Mon-Fri DROP OFF & PICKUP BEFORE NOON - Sat & Sun Pets are alone from 3:30pm to 8:30pm M-F I have a 4,000 sq ft back yard. it is completely fenced and secure. I have owned my home for 19 years. During that time, absolutely no chemicals have been used. I do NOT ever leave dogs outside longer than 10 minutes. I feed the dogs at 7am and 6pm. Dogs will sleep on my bed unless owner provides a crate and prefers to crate their dog at night. I do NOT crate dogs during the day or while not at home. Dogs are allowed on all furniture.

About: I’ve loved animals my whole life and grew up with both dogs and cats, so caring for pets has always been a natural part of my daily life. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes—from small breeds to large, energetic dogs—and I enjoy making sure they get the exercise, attention, and care they need. When I’m in a client’s home, I respect their space and carefully follow the pet’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, and any specific instructions.

About: Having grown up on a 20 acre farm for most of my life, I have cared for all shapes and sizes of animals - from horses to snakes, and everything in between! When I moved into an apartment for college, I missed the "dog energy" in our household and set to volunteering hundreds of hours at the Humane Society, which also included basic training skills and walking the most aggressive 100+lb leash pullers. This later evolved into working at a veterinary clinic where I was trained to monitor recovering animals and administer medications safely and with as little stress as possible through Fear Free certification. Animal body language is my second language! I love the outdoors as much as the indoors, and am more than happy to accommodate medical needs. ♡ If you would like extras taken care of during your pets stay or our visit, such as bathing, grooming, nail trims, or a run, just let me know! My dog, Leo, and I are constantly going on hikes and we are more than happy to tucker your pups out with a day trip, just reach out for rates. I currently work as a Braille Librarian for the state and used to teach Low Vision/Blind learners, and I am also fluent in American Sign Language (ASL), so I have a soft spot for dogs that may be Deaf, Blind, or DeafBlind. To top it all off, I am working on weaseling my way into Guide Dog puppy raising, and all the training tips that come along with that. ( : I commute to Salem Wednesday and Friday, which means my schedule during those days is usually pretty limited to anything after 430pm. Otherwise, my weekends are typically completely free and ready to be filled with whatever your fur babies need! Using the Fear Free method, I work with a pet's body language to determine what will work best in the current situation, and when methods may be effective versus stressful. I am ready to go at your pet's pace with whatever they may need, and clearly communicate the process along the way.

I've grown up with dogs, my family has never NOT had a dog. Dogs will tell you in their own way what they need, and I listen! I double- and triple-check food, water, gates, doors, and instructions so both you and your pet can feel safe and cared for. During a recent week-long pet care visit, I cared for an anxious, high-needs dog who was hesitant to walk with anyone outside her family. By moving at her pace and earning her trust, she happily joined me for several walks and settled in comfortably throughout the week. My schedule is currently very flexible, allowing me to provide dependable drop-in visits for both cats and dogs. I have plenty of time for walks, play, enrichment, or simply being a calm, safe, and loving presence in your pet’s home and yard. I’m generally available Monday through Friday between 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m., with occasional weekend availability as well. I take time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and comfort level so they can feel as relaxed and secure as possible while you’re away. I’m careful to follow your instructions closely and always double- and triple-check the little things before leaving—doors and gates are secure, water bowls are full, food has been given, litter boxes or potty breaks are complete, and your pet is safe and comfortable. I also treat every home with the same respect and care I would my own, leaving it clean, secure, and just as you left it. My goal is for you to return home to a happy pet and complete peace of mind.

About: I've had cats and dogs growing up my whole life. I was the primary caregiver, trainer and best friend. I also took care of many of the neighbors cats and dogs while they were away. And their farm animals as well. Also have experience from the Army training tracking and guard dogs. I am a retired latter carrier and a disabled Army Veteran. I have all the time in the world to devote to caring for your pets when needed. Particularly with dogs during the day. Walking is great for your dog and gets me the exercise that I need. It's a win-win. And it's a plus that I get the hang around with dogs. , i currently do not have dogs or cats of my own. I do live in an apartment but I'm close to many parks and trails. I'm available for a client's home sitting as well and will always abide by the wishes of the client for their pets.
