About: I have taken care of dogs for many years, from put bulls to chihuahuas, I have yet to meet a dog I didn’t love! I have grown up with dogs my whole life and I have learned how to care for and bond with dogs of all kinds. I would love to care for your furry friends! I am a recent college graduate and I am looking for a part time job while I wait for my graduate program to begin in the fall. My schedule is very flexible and I love taking long walks! About: I grew up in the country with many dogs in the family. My parents bred and showed champion Afghan Hounds as well as boarded other breeds of dogs. I have raised and cared for many amazing dogs, cats, horses, goats, rabbits, salamanders and a gold fish named Charlie. My absolute love for all animals and my special bond with my 18 year old rescue, Fez, lead me to managing a local doggy daycare and boarding facility. I learned so much about all kinds of breeds and mixes, puppies and seniors, managing medications, nutrition, play time, and their beautiful personalities. What a wonderful experience that was! About: I worked at a vet clinic for about two years, helping with restraint for exams and diagnostics. I took care of the boarding pets and administered medications. About: I have a lot of experience with dogs and love to be around them. I am comfortable walking, boarding or pet sitting for large dogs, untrained dogs and reactive dogs. I am working just part time so am available sat-mon all day and just Tues-Friday I am available after 3:00. My husband starts work at noon so it is only 3 hours without someone home. (He is also a huge dog lover and is happy to meet anyone if that is uncomfortable to you). We love to board dogs because they get to come on adventures with us, we have met Santa, hiked waterfalls and so many other fun activities for pups. Jennifer is incredible. An actual professional. She always walks my dog a few minutes longer than scheduled when in the past I’ve had walkers not reach the allotted time frame. She contacted me days in advance to find out what precautions she can take to keep my dog hydrated in safe in the extreme heat and made sure to find a shaded walking path for her. My dog LOVES her!! Wendi went ABOVE and BEYOND for my Quinn. She met with me before the date so that Quinn could meet her and while Quinn is normally a one woman pup (me) she went to Wendi immediately and began bringing Wendi her toys to share. That has literally never happened before. Wendi also was flexible when my times needed to be adjusted. She communicated with me about how the drop ins and walks went and sent pictures. She also wrote a lovely note and created a water color of my Quinn. (not AI, she actually painted it) I highly recommend Wendi! I know my daughter plans to use her when she needs a dog walker/sitter next.
Haley has been a perfect fit for our 12 year old lab. Haley made sure she got her exercise but also allowed her to walk and smell at her pace. Haley was ever mindful of the pavement temp and ensured she was safe and did not get over heated. The constant communication, picture and videos were wonderful. Haley is now our go to dog walker and we would highly recommend her. We could not be happier.
