About: As a pet parent myself, I know exactly what it feels like to walk out the front door and feel that instant wave of worry; leaving your furry family members requires an immense amount of trust, and my top priority is making sure you feel completely secure, updated, and at ease while you’re away. I bring extensive, hands-on experience caring for puppies, adult dogs, and cats of all personalities—whether that means managing a young puppy's strict potty-training schedule, giving a senior dog a gentle afternoon stroll, or respecting a cautious cat’s boundaries. I treat every animal in my care as if they were my own, and I am committed to following your exact routine while providing detailed updates and plenty of photo check-ins so you never have to guess how they are doing.🦮💜🐾 Pet care is my top priority, and I structure my daily and weekly life entirely around my work. Because I plan my personal schedule to fit the needs of my clients, I have an incredibly open, flexible schedule. Whether your pet needs a morning walk, a midday check-in, or evening care, I am fully available to ensure they get consistent attention and love exactly when they need it. When caring for pets, safety and comfort are my absolute top priorities. I live in a pet-friendly home with my own dogs, so I am deeply familiar with managing multiple animal dynamics and maintaining a secure, supervised environment—including the ability to keep my dogs completely separated from yours whenever needed. Whether hosting pets in my home or providing drop-in care and walks at yours, I strictly follow all specific care instructions, double-check that doors and gates are fully secure, and always keep dogs securely leashed during outings. My goal is to maintain your pet's exact routine so they feel completely safe, relaxed, and loved.
“A pet sitting angel! I was freaking out because of a last minute cancellation from another sitter, but Alex came to my rescue and took over the booking. Turns out that the other sitter cancelling was the best thing that could have happened because Alex is everything I could ever want from a sitter. They were incredibly responsive to my messages, they gave frequent updates throughout the day complete with photos, they administered medication to both my cats, they went above and beyond to even clean up the place while I was away…but most importantly, my boys seemed to absolutely adore them! Absolutely a 10/10 ✨”

“Emma is a great dog sitter. She was punctual, kept me well informed throughout, and regularly sent pictures and updates, which gave me real peace of mind. She also left the house clean and tidy. I would definitely recommend her.”

“Bry was so caring and loving to my pets my neighbors even noticed. She is very kind, Profesional and trustworthy. She was punctual and very communicative. I will definitely hire her again. I had s great experience using Rover for the first time. I felt very reassured and relaxed about the process”

About: I've been taking care of a few close friends dogs while they work since November 2025 and I have personally had my own canine familiars and family since 2010. I love spending time with all my dogs, going for walks, playing in the yards and parks when weather permits and most of all, giving them all the attention, lots of snuggling, cuddling and love. I don't do any dog training but am well experienced in how to handle dogs in different environments and situations. I am also a very clean and tidy individual who is willing to walk your dogs daily, clean up poop in your backyard (if you have one) and you can be assured I will keep your house spotless and clean as well. In past jobs, I have watered plants, gardens, lawns and made sure trash was taken out to the curbs on pick up days for no added charge. As for me and my personal life, I am a part time private mentor for individuals seeking change, men in recovery, men that are homeless and men that suffer mental health disorders. I've worked in several recovery homes for non-profits as an onsite house manager where my dog Angelo, at the time, was an integral part of many of the clients and the population we served in the program houses daily life, enrichment activities and mental health journeys. After loosing my beloved Angelo in January 2025 to lymphoma, I felt a new calling in my heart to help others with their dogs needs, give them peace of mind and trust when they are away for work, self care days or vacation. I look forward to meeting you and your fur family members soon! I have plenty of time to spend with any dogs I'm sitting for or around through the month and week. I am totally open in my schedule as I do not work a regular 9-5 job life. I try to stick to any routine that the clients request based on established routines with each dog and their person(s). I personally like to get up and go for morning, mid-day and evening walks with all my dogs I'm around if they prefer being active (not very many say no, lol). If they are more of a couch potato or have an indoor personality, I tailor our routine to activities and attention within the house. I always provide space upon meeting new dogs to let them move and get comfortable at their pace. I am a very quiet and passive fella that provides a positive safe space at all times to the best of my ability daily, its just my nature! So, its always a "win win" to me! I have yet to have any of the dogs I've been around not warm up to me.
“Adriana did an amazing job watching over our two anxious/active pups on a recent long weekend trip. She gave great updates each day and dealt with all their quirkiness with ease 🙂 Would definitely recommend, and absolutely have her stay with our doggos anytime!”

“We've used Lynden a few times now to house/dog sit for our puppy Ellis and senior dog Dexter and will definitely continue to schedule with her. She is communicative, provides updates, and we arrive back home to happy dogs and a clean house. She's very accommodating on changes in feeding, walking schedules, and giving medications.”

“Alicia was an amazing dog sitter to our Clover girl! She was professional, communicative, sentus tons of pictures of our pup, which is exactly what we want when on vacation. I felt like our pup was in good hands all weekend. Our house was left clean and taken care of, and she even went above and beyond to help water our plants when we were away. She left us with a “puppy report card” which was so cute. 1000% would book Alicia again for any future pet sitting, very kind and responsible, definitely a dog person!”

“Dylan took such great care of my older dog, Brava. She was extremely responsive and provided great updates. Dylan took the extra effort to ensure Brava got plenty of walks before it got too warm outside and asked great questions to ensure Brava received the best care possible. I felt very comfortable leaving Brava in Dylan's care and hope to have her house sit again in the future.”

“Wendi was great with our two dogs and one cat! She updated us regularly, was able to give one of them medications without any issues, and by her photo updates I could tell they were all so happy and comfortable with her. Would definitely have her pet sit again and couldn’t recommend her more!”

“Haley did an excellent job taking care of my high energy pup. She was very responsive in her communication. She was flexible with her schedule to help me out in a difficult situation and I came home to a happy pup and a clean house. Definitely consider booking her because she does a great job.”

“Rachel was the best! We were so glad she was available to help us out rather last minute. She was very loving and responsible with taking care of our old man who has some health issues. She updated us daily, which we very much appreciated. She helped our dog with his anxiety when neighbors set off firecrackers. She went above and beyond and even watered my yard, flowers and garden on a very hot weekend. House was very clean and tidy when we got home too. Made coming home so much nicer. Can’t praise or thank her enough♥️”

“So happy to say I came home to a happy dog and a beautifully clean home. Lucinda sent pictures of Sam and kept me informed all the way along. I certainly will use Lucinda again. I highly recommend her if you’re looking for someone to take care of your animals.”

Norma did great and Bingley seemed to love his time with her! He is still a puppy and has puppy energy but she handled him in stride and her two dogs got along great with him and showed him the ropes. Really appreciated sending me fun daily photos of him having a great time, and I appreciated being able to trust her and focus on my weekend race (H2C). Would highly recommend her for any future dog sitting!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter! They were incredibly communicative, reliable, and caring from start to finish. We had a mix-up with our dates, and they were still willing to step in last minute and watch our boys, which we are SO grateful for! They followed through with everything we asked, kept us updated, and even went above and beyond to make sure our boys were happy and well taken care of. It gave us such peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. We highly recommend them and will absolutely be using them again! Our boys were clearly very happy and well loved while we were away. ❤️🐾

We were so lucky to find Maria! She took care of our pointer, arthritic labrador, cat, and cockatiel for an extended vacation. She took time to learn their routines, habits, and personalities. The pointer got the exercise he needed - daily hikes and lots of ball-throwing. The lab got her medications and lots of pats. Everyone got lots of cuddles. The animals were very happy and well-cared for, and the house was cleaner than we left it. She also took care of our garden and all the house plants. Communication was wonderful - pictures, videos, and any questions. She is a wonderful house and pet sitter.

Alexis was great - conscientious and attentive with our elderly dachshund and his finicky ways. She carefully monitored his medications, food, and sleep habits and sent us many great pictures and updates. She left the house spotless and watered plants as requested. We’d love to have her return when we next travel!

Monicah stayed with our cat and dog while we were away for a week. Our cat is very shy and he warmed up to her super quickly. Monicah was communicative, sent any questions she had our way, and sent pictures and videos of our babies while we were missing them. We would recommend Monicah to others looking for a petsitter.

Erika took amazing care of our two high energy/high anxiety GSPs! She gave detailed updates each day and took great care of the house as well, leaving everything spotless for our return. She was even able to stay later than expected when our flight was delayed. We will absolutely be reaching out to her again to care for our pups in the future!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Cedar Hills on Rover is $44.4 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Cedar Hills walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Cedar Hills maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Cedar Hills choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cedar Hills. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
