I grew up in a family that owned dogs all of my life. I also pet sat (both cats and dogs) for many family friends over the years, even helping look over a dog team once when I lived in Alaska. Furthermore, I am capable of going on long walks or short ones, playing fetch or tug of war for extended periods, or just chillin' at home providing all the belly rubs and scratches as possible.

I am flexible for how will care for your pet in your home. If your pet requires a lot of attention and play time, then I am more than willing to take them to the backyard or nearest park to let them play to their hearts content. Or, if your pet is shy or getting older, I can certainly give them their space.

This was my first time using Rover and Jacob made it an amazing experience. He was very kind and welcoming with our two large dogs. Jacob sent daily photos of our dogs and was willing to go above and beyond for them. Took them to play and walk and made sure they were completely taken care of. Would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for service!

Our family needed Jacob during a very difficult time. Jacob was kind, prompt, and immediately hit it off with our girls (Bear and Tookie). He was available to provide last minute care for our fur babies and sent updates daily on their well-being. We will definitely utilize Jacob‘s services in the future. Jacob spent the month of May playing with and taking my dog for evening walks. I don’t know who was walking whom, but Jacob was friendly, patient, able to guide my dog through other animal encounters, crowded people situations and bring him home a happy pup. A fine gentleman.
Jacob would make a great pet sitter. He was raised with dogs, cats and rabbits. He is very caring and loving and the animals love him back. He is very conscientious for all animals. I highly recommend him for Rover.

Schedule
I am based in Vancouver and I currently work a part time retail job in Portland. My retail job's schedule is not consistent and I may need to be at work for 6 to 8 hours on a particular day, sometimes during an afternoon or evening feeding time. Luckily, my schedule gets posted three weeks out. So, I'll know which days I will be totally free to hang out with pets. I'll make sure to communicate with you on which days I will be gone for a long stretch and make sure it fits within your pets schedule.
