Absolutely amazing! Tiffany and her family are the perfect house sitters. We got loads of pictures of them with our dog Maggie and our Cat Nova. We were gone for 6 days and worried for none of them. The house was just as clean as we left it and our animals were very happy. She was prepared and did a wonderful job. Would highly recommend to anyone needing house sitting, pet sitting or walking services. Will be using in the future.

Lisa is simply the best there is. She's kind, responsive, clean, and most importantly has the ability to connect with even cranky old geriatric cats. Our cat loves her. I think she is mildly disappointed when we come home. I could not recommend Lisa highly enough!

We had Allison stay in our home for a week with our 4.5 month old puppy while we were out of town. She went above and beyond with his care. She always made sure he got enough exercise and took him on fun walks and adventures. She worked on some of his training with him too. He was better walking on his leash when we got home so we greatly appreciate the work Allison did with him. When she wasn’t able to stay at our house with him, she took him places with her, including her own home because he needed constant supervision and supervision and didn’t want him in his crate for too many hours at a time. She sent daily videos, pictures and texts with updates. She was very communicative and responsive. When we arrived home, we discovered a nice handwritten note with flowers, photo magnets of pictures she took of our puppy, and chewy toys for him too. We were very nervous initially to leave him with someone but Allison came over for a meet and greet and she let us come to her home to see how our puppy would do with her dog. She quickly put our minds at ease so we could enjoy our vacation and not worry about how our puppy was doing. Our puppy loves her and we were very happy with the care and attention she provided him. We will definitely be using her again.

She definitely helped us out in a chaotic time when we transition between two different people. A real self starter! Our also dog looked so happy every time we saw the photos. About: Hi, I’m Marci, and I’m your dog’s second best friend! I'm a licensed massage therapist for people, horses and dogs. I'm very intuitive, nurturing and compassionate, and I have been a dog owner for the past 20 years. I work from home part time so I'm home every day, which means I can hang out with your dog all day! I love just about everything about dogs, from the way they curiously sniff the air during walks, to when they eagerly nudge my hand for a pet or massage. I treat all animals like family, and make sure they have what they need and want. If you leave your dog with me, you can rest assured they will be pampered with plenty of love, affection, and patience. I also know canine CPR and have basic medical skills. My goal is to provide a safe, trusted and loving environment for your pet so you wont have to worry while you're away. For additional peace of mind all dogs in our care will wear a GPS collar that can be tracked at all times. I truly feel that dogs are like people -- they are each unique and special in their own way! I would love to know what makes your dog different and unique, down to those hidden quirks and personality traits. Dogs bring out the best in me: my compassion, empathy, love, and encouragement all improve when I spend time with furry friends of all shapes, sizes, and breeds. I promise to shower your dog with all these things, and more! If your dog loves the outdoors, exploration, and long walks, then I’m the right sitter for your! I love to hike and horseback ride on my horse. I love to take my dogs to new places and introduce them to new experiences. One of my favorite seasons is summer, just because I can spend more time outside. However, the cold fall and winter weather means I get to snuggle up with your dog indoors -- either way, it’s a win! In addition to dogs, I have experience with horses, cats, gerbils, rats, hamsters, and birds. I am here to make whatever pet you have feel comfortable, but you’re my client, too! Let me know what you need to feel comfortable leaving your pet with me, including how many updates you would like. I’d love to meet you and your pet, so please contact me to set up a Meet and Greet. I’m sure we’ll be fast friends in no time.

About: I have loved animals my whole life and have experience caring for a variety of pets including dogs, chickens, guinea pigs, and fish. Recently, I have been volunteering at the PIMA animal shelter, taking dogs out for the day! I’ve been pet sitting for friends, family, and neighbors since middle school, which has given me lots of hands-on experience with different pet personalities and needs. I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I make sure every pet gets plenty of attention, playtime, and care so they feel happy and relaxed. I also have a very cute dog of my own named Larry, so I know firsthand how much pets mean to their families! I’m currently a student at the University of Arizona majoring in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences with a minor in Business. Being responsible, attentive, and caring are very important to me, and I bring those qualities into every pet sitting job. Because I attend school in Tucson, I’m unfortunately not able to pet sit on a weekly basis. However, I frequently come home during school breaks and holidays, and I would love to spend that time helping care for your pets! During my time at home, I’m available and happy to provide attentive, reliable care. Spending time with animals is something I truly enjoy, and pet sitting is a great way for me to do something I love while I’m back in town. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I make sure to follow all routines and instructions closely so your pet feels secure and stays on their normal schedule. This includes feeding, walks, playtime, and giving them plenty of attention and affection. I always treat my clients’ homes with respect and keep a clean, safe environment for pets. I’m attentive to details like keeping doors and gates secure, making sure pets are supervised, and ensuring they are happy and comfortable while you’re away. I understand that every pet has a unique personality and needs, so I always try to provide patient, loving care so they feel relaxed and well cared for.

About: I’ve been caring for animals since I was a preteen, and they’ve always been a huge part of my life. I grew up with three large dogs and a cat, and today I’m a proud cat mom to my playful orange tabby, Mr. Binx. Over the years, I’ve cared for pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities. My experience includes energetic puppies who need plenty of exercise and patience, large and small breed dogs, as well as senior dogs who require consistent routines, early morning walks, and timely medication. I’m comfortable following detailed care instructions to ensure every pet stays happy, healthy, and on schedule. I’m equally experienced with cats, from shy or grumpy kitties who need a calm, gentle approach to affectionate companions who love attention. I’ve also cared for senior cats who require medication, regular litter box monitoring, and extra patience and comfort. I understand that every pet is unique, and I always take the time to learn their routine, personality, and needs. My goal is to make them feel safe, loved, and as comfortable as possible while you’re away—so you can have peace of mind knowing they’re in caring, dependable hands. I currently have plenty of time and flexibility to dedicate to caring for your fur babies day or night. I’m looking forward to filling my days with extra cuddles, companionship, and providing loving care while you’re away! When caring for your pets in your home, I treat your space with the same respect and care I would want for my own. I have experience staying in other people’s homes for extended periods, including multiple weeks and over a month, while providing consistent and loving care for their pets. I come prepared with my own pillow, blanket, and meals so I can be fully self-sufficient while respecting your home. Before an extended stay, I would love to meet you and your pets at least twice to build trust, learn their routine, and understand their unique needs. I’m experienced with administering oral medications and caring for pets with additional needs. My goal is to keep your pets comfortable and stress-free by following their normal routine, providing regular updates, and giving them the same love and attention I give my own.

About: My pup recently passed away but I had him for 11 years. He was a high maintenance fellow so I’m up for your high maintenance dogs too. I’m big on animals not being bored. Puzzles, games, walks, etc. Even senior pups can benefit from some snuffle mat work. Most of all I just want them to feel safe and looked after while you’re away. I work a full time job M-F from home most of the time. There are days we’re required to be in the office but that doesn’t happen very often. I can make time during the day for walks when I work from home. I can also stop for cuddles and to play in the yard when we both need a break. If caring for your pet in my home, they’d be welcome on top of all my furniture. Every corner has a pet bed available and ready to use. I also have quite a few pet caves your pet might love. I do have stairs leading up to my couch and my bed. I have a ramp available if needed too to get down the 1 step into my yard. If proving care in your home, I would be a pet care professional and only interact with pet care items. I would lock up after myself and follow any directions I’d been given.

In addition to spending a generous amount of time reviewing care instructions with my husband during our meet and greet, Cora did a good job taking care of Billie and communicating with us. She sent pictures when we asked for some, and reached out about a hot spot Billie was developing. She treated it with things we had on hand. Thank you, Cora!

Kathleen was great. We needed a last minute sitter a week before we were leaving on a trip. Kathleen came through. Our dog was well cared for, we received pictures and updates throughout our trip. Our house was as clean as we left it. She was even willing to take our dog to doggie daycare while we were gone for her day of play. We are were very happy with her service.

Honest review here: 5 day stay. The first day she overbooked herself on other things and my dogs were kenneled twice as long as the agreed max time per day. I mentioned my concerns and after that she was very good about keeping within the time limits and keeping me up to date the rest of the trip. Pups are happy and tired, plenty of exercise, kept their weight up/ate well, lots of photos and quick communication. Came back to a house as clean as I left it. That first day made me very nervous but the rest went so well that I plan on hiring again for another trip.

FAQs for House Sitting - Oak Hills

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Oak Hills on Rover is $52.5 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 4,564 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Oak Hills. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Oak Hills walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Oak Hills maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Oak Hills choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Oak Hills. On Rover:

  • 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
