I know how difficult it can be to trust a stranger with your pet’s wellbeing. We all just want the very best for our little, or big, babies. I get it, I’ve been on both sides of pet care, and deciding on just one person can be overwhelming! I hope my quick introduction can start to put your mind at ease. I have felt a particular connection to animals my entire life, easily understanding body language and energy, making bonding, empathizing and communicating natural. I have found much of my personal solace in critters. Including some of my own, I have cared for cats, dogs, birds, including chickens, rats, horses, different types of lizards, and even a truly beloved ball python, as well as just about every ‘farm’ animal in the book, spending much of my recreational and professional life on farms or ranches. Caring for such a diverse group of animals, I am truly understanding of all temperaments and personalities. I have spent the last 3 years working exclusively in animal care, including two-plus-year relationships with weekly dog walking clients, repeat sitting clients, and two of those years in equine husbandry alongside it all. My LIFE is animals!! I’m also an avid plant lover and regularly care for houseplants or gardens as needed :)

Although I cannot board, I am happy to house sit. So walks, play time, and treat games or other enrichment to any animal in need. I really strive to meet the unique needs of each pet. Any pet I care for will receive the same tender love and care that I show my own :) I also do my absolute best to leave your home BETTER than you left it! ;)

Makayla S. is wonderful! My dogs were well loved and my home well taken care of. I have 2 small dogs and old one and a young one. My old rescue dog would not let anyone walk him for the past 8 years (only me). He took to her instantly and off he went with her on his first walk without me. I can't tell you how much they loved her and how much more I loved her letting me have a stress free 9 days away from them. I would recommen her to anyone. My daughter was so impressed that she will now use her and recommend her. Thank you so very much for all you did and hope to see you soon.
Lee took fantastic care of our pets and home! I knew we were in excellent hands at the initial meet and greet — our dog is very friendly, but she’s not usually affectionate with new people. But the moment Lee arrived, Paprika greeted her like an old friend. And it was obvious in all the photo updates we received that both pets were enjoying themselves and seemed to really like and trust Lee (our cat even allowed Lee to pet her belly fluff, truly the highest honor). Lee stayed in touch throughout our trip, with lots of photos and reassurances that our girls were doing well, we came home to a clean house and two very happy pets — what more could we ask for? I would absolutely recommend Lee as a sitter, and would rebook with her anytime!
Lee did a wonderful job with my dogs. I will be making this a regular thing. Lee is very patient with my dogs and is willing to help me by doing additional training with them. Lee has already made a big difference for me and it’s only been a week. I look forward to continuing with the walks as much as my dogs do.
I have never met someone quite so in love with animals as Makayla! They are a very responsible and caring person. I have always felt that my pets were in safe hands when Makayla was watching them. You can also certainly expect them to be in touch with you during any pet-sitting process, and they will send you lots of pictures if you ask!
I don't know of a single person on this earth that cares for animals more than Makayla. Her genuine love for animals, responsible care, and attention to detail make her the perfect choice. My pets adore her, and I trust her completely. I highly recommend Makayla for anyone looking for a caring and reliable person.
Makayla has cared for our 1.5 year old high energy German shepherd in our home several times! We trusted her to take good care of our home and our pup and she always did an excellent job. She communicated great with us before sitting and while she was sitting. We appreciated how easy she was to work with and how much she enjoyed working with animals. 5/5 highly recommend!
