“We had Allison stay in our home for a week with our 4.5 month old puppy while we were out of town. She went above and beyond with his care. She always made sure he got enough exercise and took him on fun walks and adventures. She worked on some of his training with him too. He was better walking on his leash when we got home so we greatly appreciate the work Allison did with him. When she wasn’t able to stay at our house with him, she took him places with her, including her own home because he needed constant supervision and supervision and didn’t want him in his crate for too many hours at a time. She sent daily videos, pictures and texts with updates. She was very communicative and responsive. When we arrived home, we discovered a nice handwritten note with flowers, photo magnets of pictures she took of our puppy, and chewy toys for him too. We were very nervous initially to leave him with someone but Allison came over for a meet and greet and she let us come to her home to see how our puppy would do with her dog. She quickly put our minds at ease so we could enjoy our vacation and not worry about how our puppy was doing. Our puppy loves her and we were very happy with the care and attention she provided him. We will definitely be using her again.”

“Alicia was wonderful with our dog. Alicia followed all of our instructions, stayed in communication, and we would highly recommend Alicia. Thank you very much, Alicia 💕”

“Even for a short visit of a few hours (new home, nervous dog) Lisa's professionalism shone through: Our Izzy was taken for a good walk, a trip to the backyard, and had plenty of enriching/calming attention. Everything we needed and more!”

“I am extremely happy with my pet-sitting experience with Donita! She came by the house a couple times before my trip to meet my 2 Westie dogs and they all took to each other from the start. I originally booked Donita for 7 days which turned into 11 days and she extended her visit to accommodate me. I received daily updates and pictures, my girls had too much fun with her! She left my home clean and in perfect condition! I am VERY pleased and would hire Donita again in a heartbeat! Thank you from Kay, Mia and Molly!”

“Celina is great, we have tried her for pet sitting and also house sitting combined with pet sitting and everything was perfect, communication with her is always absolutely fine, I would recommend her 10/10”

“Absolutely amazing! Tiffany and her family are the perfect house sitters. We got loads of pictures of them with our dog Maggie and our Cat Nova. We were gone for 6 days and worried for none of them. The house was just as clean as we left it and our animals were very happy. She was prepared and did a wonderful job. Would highly recommend to anyone needing house sitting, pet sitting or walking services. Will be using in the future.”

“Alyssa took great care of Leia and our home! She kept in touch regularly and sent photos of Leia throughout the day. Would recommend her to anyone who needs a sitter!”

“Justine was amazing with our brand new puppy! She was incredibly communicative, punctual, capable, and generally a nice person. Zook loved spending the day with her, and we even learned a few things about puppy care from her! Absolutely will be rebooking with her again.”

“Debbie was great. She handled everything professionally, asked great questions, and even had some suggestions. Good communication leading up to and during our trip. We would use her again.”

“Ashley was fantastic. Our pup warmed up to her immediately like they were old friends. She was communicative, punctual, tidy and most importantly took great care of our boy. Would absolutely recommend her!”

“Zoe did a wonderful job with my cats, dog, and horses even when one of the horses had a medical issue during her stay. House was clean on our return and animals are all happy. I would love to have her back.”

“Hannah took such good care of my pup! While sitting my puppy developed a limp and hannah helped to make sure she stayed comfortable and kept in contact with me the whole time which made me feel so reassured.”

About: Hi, I’m Marci, and I’m your dog’s second best friend! I'm a licensed massage therapist for people, horses and dogs. I'm very intuitive, nurturing and compassionate, and I have been a dog owner for the past 20 years. I work from home part time so I'm home every day, which means I can hang out with your dog all day! I love just about everything about dogs, from the way they curiously sniff the air during walks, to when they eagerly nudge my hand for a pet or massage. I treat all animals like family, and make sure they have what they need and want. If you leave your dog with me, you can rest assured they will be pampered with plenty of love, affection, and patience. I also know canine CPR and have basic medical skills. My goal is to provide a safe, trusted and loving environment for your pet so you wont have to worry while you're away. For additional peace of mind all dogs in our care will wear a GPS collar that can be tracked at all times. I truly feel that dogs are like people -- they are each unique and special in their own way! I would love to know what makes your dog different and unique, down to those hidden quirks and personality traits. Dogs bring out the best in me: my compassion, empathy, love, and encouragement all improve when I spend time with furry friends of all shapes, sizes, and breeds. I promise to shower your dog with all these things, and more! If your dog loves the outdoors, exploration, and long walks, then I’m the right sitter for your! I love to hike and horseback ride on my horse. I love to take my dogs to new places and introduce them to new experiences. One of my favorite seasons is summer, just because I can spend more time outside. However, the cold fall and winter weather means I get to snuggle up with your dog indoors -- either way, it’s a win! In addition to dogs, I have experience with horses, cats, gerbils, rats, hamsters, and birds. I am here to make whatever pet you have feel comfortable, but you’re my client, too! Let me know what you need to feel comfortable leaving your pet with me, including how many updates you would like. I’d love to meet you and your pet, so please contact me to set up a Meet and Greet. I’m sure we’ll be fast friends in no time.
“I highly recommend Rachel as a dogsitter. Knowing she was taking care of our sweet girl while we were on vacation for 10 days gave us peace of mind and made it possible for us to be away and not be stressed! She sent adorable photos and updates, and took such good care of her.”

“Adam & Vaitiary are the absolute BEST! We feel so comfortable leaving our dogs with them! They treat them like the princesses and are so in tune to their needs! Highly recommend!”

“Alejandra did such an awesome dog watching my boys Jiggs and Stormy. She house sat all day while I had to be away attending to a family event and I knew they were in good hands. She sent pictures during the day and was responsive to texts. Both dogs were well cared for and well supervised. Knowing they were in good hands allowed me to enjoy the day. Thank you so much!”

“Enola really enjoyed her time with Topher. Initially I was nervous because this was my first time leaving her with a dog sitter and Topher made sure to ease my nerves by providing constant updates and letting me know how Enola was doing throughout the day. That helped a lot. She seemed pretty happy when I return which means she had a good time!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Bethany
Heidi was great. We have a pup who has epilepsy and she asked great question beforehand and during the stay to ensure our pup had a safe and comfy stay. Our pup normally takes a while to warm up with people but she seemed super comfortable with Heidi fairly quickly. Great communication and super trustworthy. We could tell she cares deeply about the well-being of our pups.

Arya and Mini had a great time with Sebastian! There is no doubt in our minds that Sebastian was the best sitter for the job. He was there on time, attentive to the handoff even while the pups were bouncing about with a new person in the room. Kept in communication with us while we were away for graduation and provided us with a thorough run-down when we got back. He took extra steps to ensure their safety (we were at a location entirely new to us) and while keeping Arya engaged (she's 3), was mindful of Mini's limitations (she wants to be 3 but is 12 and does have limitations). 10/10 recommend!

Absolutely fantastic! Hannah did a great job with my old, stubborn, clingy dog, and with managing my separation anxiety with pictures and updates. Left the house in order with no issues. Responsive, positive, and knows how to wield a treat. Will definitely book again!

Violet is a lovely person, and she exudes competence and calmness. Our dog was very content with her and very calm when we returned home. Our house was in perfect order. We had total confidence in Violet, and we’ll plan to book with her again as our needs arise.

Sarah took excellent care of our cats and dog over a weekend. When we arrived home the animals were relaxed—even our extremely neurotic dog. Everything was clean and tidy. She was communicative and flexible with our schedule. She did a great job. We’ll happily book with her again!

Emily took amazing care of our dog and cat during overnight stays and daytime care over the weekend while we were away. She was attentive, dependable, and clearly cared for our pets like they were her own. We really appreciated the updates and the care she took with both our pets and our home. Our return flight was unexpectedly delayed, and she was incredibly kind and flexible in staying later to make sure our pets were still cared for until we made it home. That gave us so much peace of mind during a stressful travel situation. Everything was clean and well cared for when we got back, and we felt very comfortable having her stay in our home. We would absolutely recommend her and would happily book with her again!

We recently had Olivander housesit and watch our easily frightened chihuahua for two weeks. We were in completely different time zones, but he kept us up to date and was extremely responsive. Our dog was able to get comfortable and cuddle! When we returned, our dog was noticeably stress-free, and was even freshly brushed! Our house was also very clean and well kept. I would highly recommend using Olivander and plan to use him for our future trips!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Bethany on Rover is $72.15 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 4,560 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Bethany. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Bethany walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Bethany maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bethany choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bethany. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
