“Tiffany and their family were very kind and patient with my sensitive pup. They were willing to give him time to warm up to them and ended up playing together for most of their time. I can tell he was very well cared for. Thank you Tiffany!”

“Alicia was an amazing dog sitter to our Clover girl! She was professional, communicative, sentus tons of pictures of our pup, which is exactly what we want when on vacation. I felt like our pup was in good hands all weekend. Our house was left clean and taken care of, and she even went above and beyond to help water our plants when we were away. She left us with a “puppy report card” which was so cute. 1000% would book Alicia again for any future pet sitting, very kind and responsible, definitely a dog person!”

“Cora was great! Super quick to respond and easily adaptable to my pets needs when i needed him to take medications. Also sent me pictures of him that reassured me he was being loved and taken care of!”

“We would give Lisa 10 stars if that was an option. She worked diligently to befriend our pup who is very wary of people and has been known to nip. She house/dog sat for our pup and our two cats during the recent snow storm. She is a consummate professional, great communicator, fantastic with animals, and charmed our little distrustful dog into letting her pet and love on her. And our house was so clean when she left. We can’t thank Lisa enough!!!”
“Very happy having her here with our dog! We received many updates, pics and videos. She left the house immaculate when she left and even gave us flowers upon our arrival, cleaned the linens she used and did her dishes. Believe me,it was much appreciated.”

“We've used Katie several times; very happy with her service. She follows instructions well and is dedicated and friendly. She leaves everything as it was when she does overnight stays. We're glad to have Katie as our Sitter!”

“Christina was great! We have a hard time leaving our pups and this trip just needed to focus on traveling with our infant. Christina was prompt and accommodating to meet us in advance and then took great care of our home and animals while we were away. They were well looked after and she left our home tidy.”

“Alyssa was so amazing!!! She took such amazing care of our little guy, and left our house better than when she arrived. She is truly the best Rover we have ever had!”

About: I have loved animals my whole life and have experience caring for a variety of pets including dogs, chickens, guinea pigs, and fish. Recently, I have been volunteering at the PIMA animal shelter, taking dogs out for the day! I’ve been pet sitting for friends, family, and neighbors since middle school, which has given me lots of hands-on experience with different pet personalities and needs. I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I make sure every pet gets plenty of attention, playtime, and care so they feel happy and relaxed. I also have a very cute dog of my own named Larry, so I know firsthand how much pets mean to their families! I’m currently a student at the University of Arizona majoring in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences with a minor in Business. Being responsible, attentive, and caring are very important to me, and I bring those qualities into every pet sitting job. Because I attend school in Tucson, I’m unfortunately not able to pet sit on a weekly basis. However, I frequently come home during school breaks and holidays, and I would love to spend that time helping care for your pets! During my time at home, I’m available and happy to provide attentive, reliable care. Spending time with animals is something I truly enjoy, and pet sitting is a great way for me to do something I love while I’m back in town. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I make sure to follow all routines and instructions closely so your pet feels secure and stays on their normal schedule. This includes feeding, walks, playtime, and giving them plenty of attention and affection. I always treat my clients’ homes with respect and keep a clean, safe environment for pets. I’m attentive to details like keeping doors and gates secure, making sure pets are supervised, and ensuring they are happy and comfortable while you’re away. I understand that every pet has a unique personality and needs, so I always try to provide patient, loving care so they feel relaxed and well cared for.
“Vai & Adam were reliable and did a great job watching my dog and two cats. They left the house in better condition than when they arrived. I could tell the animals were well taken care of.”

“Ashley was fantastic. Our pup warmed up to her immediately like they were old friends. She was communicative, punctual, tidy and most importantly took great care of our boy. Would absolutely recommend her!”

“This was our first time working with Olivander, and he was fantastic! I was nervous about leaving for a two-week trip, especially since we had never had a house sitter before. Olivander immediately put us at ease, and the pets absolutely loved him! He provided daily updates, and when we returned, the house was just as we left it, with the pets looking well-cared-for and happy. We’re so grateful for his care and attention, and we highly recommend him!”

“Enola really enjoyed her time with Topher. Initially I was nervous because this was my first time leaving her with a dog sitter and Topher made sure to ease my nerves by providing constant updates and letting me know how Enola was doing throughout the day. That helped a lot. She seemed pretty happy when I return which means she had a good time!”

About: Hi, I’m Marci, and I’m your dog’s second best friend! I'm a licensed massage therapist for people, horses and dogs. I'm very intuitive, nurturing and compassionate, and I have been a dog owner for the past 20 years. I work from home part time so I'm home every day, which means I can hang out with your dog all day! I love just about everything about dogs, from the way they curiously sniff the air during walks, to when they eagerly nudge my hand for a pet or massage. I treat all animals like family, and make sure they have what they need and want. If you leave your dog with me, you can rest assured they will be pampered with plenty of love, affection, and patience. I also know canine CPR and have basic medical skills. My goal is to provide a safe, trusted and loving environment for your pet so you wont have to worry while you're away. For additional peace of mind all dogs in our care will wear a GPS collar that can be tracked at all times. I truly feel that dogs are like people -- they are each unique and special in their own way! I would love to know what makes your dog different and unique, down to those hidden quirks and personality traits. Dogs bring out the best in me: my compassion, empathy, love, and encouragement all improve when I spend time with furry friends of all shapes, sizes, and breeds. I promise to shower your dog with all these things, and more! If your dog loves the outdoors, exploration, and long walks, then I’m the right sitter for your! I love to hike and horseback ride on my horse. I love to take my dogs to new places and introduce them to new experiences. One of my favorite seasons is summer, just because I can spend more time outside. However, the cold fall and winter weather means I get to snuggle up with your dog indoors -- either way, it’s a win! In addition to dogs, I have experience with horses, cats, gerbils, rats, hamsters, and birds. I am here to make whatever pet you have feel comfortable, but you’re my client, too! Let me know what you need to feel comfortable leaving your pet with me, including how many updates you would like. I’d love to meet you and your pet, so please contact me to set up a Meet and Greet. I’m sure we’ll be fast friends in no time.
“Ryleigh took such great care of Ruby and was great about sending multiple pictures every day while I was gone. This is the second I’ve worked with Ryleigh and I’ll definitely have her stay with Ruby again in the future.”

“Celina is great, we have tried her for pet sitting and also house sitting combined with pet sitting and everything was perfect, communication with her is always absolutely fine, I would recommend her 10/10”

“Hannah was great! She kept us up to date on how our dog was doing. She sent lots of photos and videos. She took him on several walks a day and spent time snuggling with him. Our dog seemed relaxed when we returned home. I would highly recommend Hannah.”

Emily was awesome! She took great care of our dog, cat, and bearded dragon while we were away for the weekend. Communication was awesome, and we really appreciated all the updates from Emily! We would happily invite Emily back to pet sit for us and would recommend her. :)

In addition to spending a generous amount of time reviewing care instructions with my husband during our meet and greet, Cora did a good job taking care of Billie and communicating with us. She sent pictures when we asked for some, and reached out about a hot spot Billie was developing. She treated it with things we had on hand. Thank you, Cora!

Honest review here: 5 day stay. The first day she overbooked herself on other things and my dogs were kenneled twice as long as the agreed max time per day. I mentioned my concerns and after that she was very good about keeping within the time limits and keeping me up to date the rest of the trip. Pups are happy and tired, plenty of exercise, kept their weight up/ate well, lots of photos and quick communication. Came back to a house as clean as I left it. That first day made me very nervous but the rest went so well that I plan on hiring again for another trip.

Wonderful human who took care of our two boys, a crazy 1 year old puppy who’s energy never ends and needs so much attentiveness as well as our 10 year old cat who lovvvveddd the cuddles. We were away two weeks and could trust they were in good hands (as well as our many plants!) Thank you so much!!

Faith took great care of our special needs pup Jojo! She was very communicative and sent several photos so we didn't miss her too much :) She took excellent care of our home and everything was just as we left it! Overall great experience and Jojo gives her 5/5 wags!

Heidi was great. We have a pup who has epilepsy and she asked great question beforehand and during the stay to ensure our pup had a safe and comfy stay. Our pup normally takes a while to warm up with people but she seemed super comfortable with Heidi fairly quickly. Great communication and super trustworthy. We could tell she cares deeply about the well-being of our pups.

Arya and Mini had a great time with Sebastian! There is no doubt in our minds that Sebastian was the best sitter for the job. He was there on time, attentive to the handoff even while the pups were bouncing about with a new person in the room. Kept in communication with us while we were away for graduation and provided us with a thorough run-down when we got back. He took extra steps to ensure their safety (we were at a location entirely new to us) and while keeping Arya engaged (she's 3), was mindful of Mini's limitations (she wants to be 3 but is 12 and does have limitations). 10/10 recommend!

Absolutely fantastic! Hannah did a great job with my old, stubborn, clingy dog, and with managing my separation anxiety with pictures and updates. Left the house in order with no issues. Responsive, positive, and knows how to wield a treat. Will definitely book again!

Violet is a lovely person, and she exudes competence and calmness. Our dog was very content with her and very calm when we returned home. Our house was in perfect order. We had total confidence in Violet, and we’ll plan to book with her again as our needs arise.

Sarah took excellent care of our cats and dog over a weekend. When we arrived home the animals were relaxed—even our extremely neurotic dog. Everything was clean and tidy. She was communicative and flexible with our schedule. She did a great job. We’ll happily book with her again!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Bethany on Rover is $72.15 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Bethany walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Bethany maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bethany choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bethany. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
