Safety, trust & environment

I care like they are part of the family because they are! All dogs deserve a good meal, hydration, lots of rubs, mental stimulation such as games and lots of walks.

A little behavioral background of your best friend would be great to ensure the best possible experience. All dogs are unique and have different personalities. Tidbits give me a good heads up for upcoming situations!

Pet care experience

With over eight years of professional experience in the dog industry, I bring passion, expertise, and compassion to every dog I care for. My background includes working for dog grooming companies in San Francisco, assisting in pet hospitals and animal shelters, and walking over 300 dogs throughout California and Oregon. I believe in reward-based dog training. I've experienced handling a wide variety of dogs, including aggressive, leash-pulling, fearful, elderly, anxious dogs, and puppies. I’ve worked with all breeds and have a knack for identifying each one individually. Some of my personal favorites include Beagles, Belgian Malinois, and Pitbulls. As an animal lover, I’m committed to providing kind, ethical care for every furry friend I meet. I care for every dog as if they were my own, ensuring they receive love, attention, and top-notch care. My goal is to create a safe, happy, and stress-free environment for your pets while providing peace of mind for you.

Christina clearly enjoys hanging out with the dogs! That's all they really need or want, along with food and water. I will certainly be asking her to watch the dogs, again.

We had high hopes after doing a meet and greet with Christina, she had great communication and appeared to have a lot of knowledge with animals. Unfortunately, she never showed up for our confirmed appointment and we received no communication. My husband and I (like most pet owners) have a lot of anxiety leaving our animals. Our animals are high strung and we’re fully aware of how high maintenance and anxious they can be, so we are really cautious with who we trust to watch them. At our meet and greet we discussed doing a trial night so our animals had a chance to get acclimated and familiar with Christina before we went out of town for 5 days. Due to her availability we booked the trial night 4 days before our planned out of state trip. Christina confirmed both bookings and had great communication after our meet and greet, however days prior, I reached out and heard nothing, I then reached out once more the day before our trial night to ask if we could provide anything to make her stay more comfortable and again, heard nothing, a half hour before her scheduled arrival, I reached out once more to confirm, there was no reply. I waited till 15 minutes past her scheduled start time before contacting Rover support. Due to her lack of communication and not showing for our confirmed appointment, we did not have enough time to find another sitter and were forced to cancel our out of state trip including flights and hotel reservations among other things. Christina had her account in ‘away’ mode so I’m unsure if she had a personal emergency that impacted her ability to arrive for our scheduled appointment and I can understand that, however any form of communication would have been appreciated so we could have come up with a back up plan.

Christina was friendly and prompt for the in-person meeting. My personal preference is for more communication and attention to detail, although I think we caught her at a busy time. We appreciate her caring for the pets.

Christina watched our dog and stayed at our house on a last minute booking. She was very attentive with our anxious pup and even worked on some calming techniques to keep her comfortable. The house was in better shape than when we left!
