Though not currently a pet owner, I've had several pets throughout my life and have volunteered for both the Humane Society and a wildlife hospital, where I gained experience with administering care and medicine to animals. About: Dogs have been a part of my life for more than 15 years, and caring for them is something I’ve always felt naturally connected to. I’ve raised my own dogs, supported pups with all kinds of personalities and needs, and spent several years as a dog foster — giving dogs a safe, loving place to land while they waited for their forever homes. That experience taught me how to read canine behavior, build trust quickly, and create a calm, structured environment where dogs feel secure. My home is set up with ramps and steps to help small dogs and mobility‑challenged pups move around safely and comfortably along with a stroller for long neighborhood walks. Mid-day walks at lunch time everyday unless weather is hot, then early morning walks. Weekends usually allow for longer walks and the occasional hiking adventure. I like taking my pups to the Jenkins Estate. It is heavily wooded and not usually busy. Making it easy to walk with multiple dogs. I have a fenced in backyard that can be segmented into two if needed. A doggy door for medium sized pups for quick and easy access. If your pup is not familiar with one, I will work on some simple training to encourage and get them use to using one. Plenty of doggy toys for aggressive/heavy chewers. Nylabones, kongs, rubber toys and rope. Sorry, no fluffy/squeaky toys, my oldest can destroy the toughest in under 6 minutes. Home is air conditioned. Floors are waterproof vinyl plank flooring, and all couches and beds are covered with waterproof blankets incase of any accidents or simply messy dogs. My oldest pup likes to take dirt baths much to my chagrin. There is a small kiddie pool available for those hot days. Two crates are available for any pups that may need it. And plenty of baby gates to segment/separate as needed. My house has been puppy proofed once before, and can be if requested. And additional third-party insurance to cover any emergencies.

About: If you're a dog lover, you should have dogs, right? I've had dogs all my life and we currently have two small well-behaved dogs, Daisy and Buddy, both under 20 lbs. My 23-year-old son Sam is a co-sitter (I'm primary) and your doggie will receive all the love it can handle! Sam used to volunteer as a dog walker at the Maui Humane Society when we lived on Maui and we spent Saturdays at the pet-a-puppy adoption gathering at the Maui Mall. Animals seem to know we're safe and loving and tend to come to us when they need help. We've rescued a duckling, a Mynah bird, a baby squirrel, a lost kitten, and two adult dogs, caring for them in our homes until appropriately placed or returned to their owners. We also took part in a humpback whale rescue when visiting Maui Feb 2023. I work from home as an instructional designer; my son is an student in animation and is also at home and absolutely adores every animal he ever met. Two responsible adults are here at all times, so this makes it easy to give your fur baby the attention it deserves. Our dogs are indoor dogs and have free roam of our house. We have a large, fenced, dog-friendly backyard for exercise. Our two small friendly dogs can show your dog the ropes. We recommend a visit prior to placement so they can all get acquainted.

About: Hey, I'm Maia and I've been taking care of pets since the age of ten, I love all animals and personally have 3 cats but have also previously had two dachshunds. Throughout the years I've taken care of a multitude of animals from large golden retrievers to small rodents. (2 dogs 3 cats) I have been house sitting my pets for a few years while my parents go out of town, and have also helped a few family friends with their pets. Before then, I will have all day to tend to your pets and let them out for some exercise and potty breaks. When I do run errands, I am never gone for more than 3 hours at a time. For sitting, I will make sure your pet gets let out for potty breaks and the proper amount of care during the day, whether it is a walk or a small training exercise. For drop in visits, I will tend to whatever your pet needs during that visit.

“Elizabeth took her time introducing herself to my dog who was a little nervous at first but she won her over in minutes and off they happily went on their walk. My pup came back happy and sufficiently tuckered out. :) Elizabeth gave lots of details about how the walk went and did great with dog handling. I’ll definitely call on her again!”

About: I've owned and worked with animals my entire life! Anything from Mice and bugs to horses and dogs. I've worked at barns and as a dog trainer, even as far as being a grooming assistant at dog shows. I have experience caring for sick, chronically ill and senior animals as well, and am used to routine ear cleanings and pill-givings. I'm currently in school full-time and my classes vary Monday through Thursday. But don't fret! I still have plenty of time to care for your fur babies before and after classes. While I do not currently offer in-home boarding, I am fully capable of providing fun and consistent care for your furry friend in your humble abode. I've done many house visits over the years, ranging from hamsters to ponies!

She is a very thoughtful caretaker and even bought a whole bag of dog food to send home with him after the food we sent with him nearly finished. Our elderly pomeranian, who has limited mobility and decreased vision, requires extra attention and patience, and Andy provided just that. She worked with him to ensure he got the nutrition he needed, which really eased our minds.
