Rie asked all the right questions before taking him in, and sent loads of pictures along with updates while I was away, which I sincerely appreciated and didn’t know I needed until I got them. “Somehow in a week Jurick has become our cat's best friend. We came home to Sunday (our cat) noticing he was happier and had clearly been stimulated with attention, games, and treats while we were gone. Sunday wasn't mad at us at all when we got home (in fact I think he probably wishes Jurick was still hanging out with him). Jurick was extremely communicative, reliable, friendly, and thorough when he watched Sunday for the whole week. We felt confident knowing Jurick was watching him, because our cat clearly loves him from the photos Jurick sent. Jurick provided plentiful photos and fun descriptions of their hang out sessions each day. He spent good time with Sunday each day, going through his tricks, playing with the laser, and giving him some love. About: If you're a dog lover, you should have dogs, right? I've had dogs all my life and we currently have two small well-behaved dogs, Daisy and Buddy, both under 20 lbs. My 23-year-old son Sam is a co-sitter (I'm primary) and your doggie will receive all the love it can handle! Sam used to volunteer as a dog walker at the Maui Humane Society when we lived on Maui and we spent Saturdays at the pet-a-puppy adoption gathering at the Maui Mall. Animals seem to know we're safe and loving and tend to come to us when they need help. We've rescued a duckling, a Mynah bird, a baby squirrel, a lost kitten, and two adult dogs, caring for them in our homes until appropriately placed or returned to their owners. We also took part in a humpback whale rescue when visiting Maui Feb 2023. I work from home as an instructional designer; my son is an student in animation and is also at home and absolutely adores every animal he ever met. Two responsible adults are here at all times, so this makes it easy to give your fur baby the attention it deserves. Our dogs are indoor dogs and have free roam of our house. We have a large, fenced, dog-friendly backyard for exercise. Our two small friendly dogs can show your dog the ropes. We recommend a visit prior to placement so they can all get acquainted.

About: Hi there! I've been taking care of animals since I was young. Growing up on a farm gave me all the experience with all sorts of different animals. Here in the Portland metro area I take care of mostly dogs and cats, and the occasional chicken or two! Your furry, or feathery, friends will be treated with gentle care and compassion as all creatures need! I currently only work as a sitter so your friends and pet family will have my undivided attention and care. I am available every day each week and especially on holidays! For dogs that will be staying either daycare or overnight, there is a large doggie area at the back of my complex. Currently, my husband and I have a 3 years old Cavapoo named Bagel. I clean his eye areas, wash his belly and feet everyday, clean his ears every week after his shower. Moreover, I trim his hair all by myself (Cavapoos' hair grow non-stop). Bagel has his own bed with his bedsheets which are washed every one or two weeks. Our house is really clean and peaceful. In my home, your puppy will get the best level of care. They will be really safe, clean, comfortable, and happy! I only take dogs which are smaller than 35 lbs for now since our puppy is only 10 lbs. I'm currently not working and staying at home all day, so my availability is generally 7 days/week. Please check my Calendar before your booking. Thank you! : ) We have a fully fenced yard. I usually let dogs go to the yard every 1-3 hours. Moreover, I will send a lot of videos and photos to you during the boarding. : ) Oh one more thing: I have really strong standards of cleanliness. I've cared for puppies, senior dogs, dogs with medical conditions and allergies, and dogs of all sizes from chihuahuas to Bernese mountain dogs. About: I grew up in the country with many dogs in the family. My parents bred and showed champion Afghan Hounds as well as boarded other breeds of dogs.
