Availability
I am currently working part-time as a dog walker/pet-sitter. I am hoping to fill out my days by adding appointments to both the early mornings and late afternoons (after 2 or 3pm). I am able to adjust my job hours to accommodate regular, either daily or weekly, appointments given two weeks to start. I am not available before 11am on Tuesdays due to personal reasons.

About Mackenzie P.
Dog skills
Safety, trust & environment
I understand that your home is also your pet's home - it's their safe place. I try to respect their boundaries and adhere to their routines to make them feel as comfortable as possible while you're gone. I will feed them, walk them, and/or play with them depending on their needs. I am unable to have pets be in my home due to my own pet's anxieties.
Information Mackenzie P. would like to know about your pet
I have handled dogs of every size and caliber - social, reactive, anxious, etc. I would prefer to schedule a time to do a meet-and-greet with your pet and you before I interact with them individually if they do have special needs or medical issues. Otherwise, I am comfortable jumping straight into their care as long as I'm given explicit instructions (their do's and do not's) and an accurate description of their care requirements.
A typical day
I love taking walks with dogs, letting them get mental stimulation through sniffing and outdoor time. I also play games like tug-o-war or fetch and can do food motivated activities like sniff-and-seek (I hide their favorite treats around the house for them to find). If their preference is affection, I make time to cuddle after a walk. Of course cats are more independent - so for our feline family members I really leave it up to them what they want from me.

Pet care experience
I was in doggy-daycare for a short time and that job gave me a lot of experience in handling dogs in a confined setting plus managing multiple different routines. I now walk dogs part-time as well as do "almost overnights" where I walk, feed, and/or spend time with dogs and cats for up to two hours. I have owned thirteen cats in my lifetime so I'm extra familiar with feline behaviors. I also have experience with reptiles and birds!
Cat care experience

Mackenzie also cares for cats. Learn about their cat-specific care experience.
Reviews
MacKenzie has taken care of my pets multiple times. Not only has she taken care of their food and medication administrations, shes given them plenty of love and affection while I'm gone. She makes sure to take my old man (11 year old Dauchsund) on walks that help keep his little joints moving but dont wear him out too much. She's a fantastic care giver for my babies
