“Our 6 month black lab had a ball at Odalis' house. Her kids kept him going and he came home dead on his feet in the best way. She was responsive and unfazed by his puppy antics, which was lovely. Highly recommend using Odalis, if you can.”

“Cheryl and family were so kind and wonderful. Took amazing care of my Coco, promising updates and pictures. Made time to meet us beforehand since Coco has only been left with non family a few times and was nervous. Appreciate knowing she was in caring hands. Would highly recommend.”

“Susie was fantastic and cared for my dog, Totti, for over two weeks, providing an excellent experience throughout. She sent daily photos that gave me great peace of mind, and it was clear Totti was happy, comfortable, and well cared for during her stay. When we picked her up, she looked great, was relaxed and content, and it was obvious she had been treated with kindness and attention. Susie was friendly, highly communicative, and followed all care instructions carefully. I truly appreciated her reliability and care, and I would absolutely trust her with Totti again and book with her in the future. Highly recommend!”

“This was Thumper’s second stay with Michelle. He was very excited when we arrived which was a true test on his connection with Michelle. When I picked him up he acted as if he would have liked to stay longer. It is great to see that he has bonded with Michelle!”

“Hashi's stay with Shawna and the ladies of Hootie Pups was great, just as his stay before, even though this time was a little eventful, as Hashi managed to get away from their place (no fault of Shawna's). Immediately Shawna and friends alerted both DogVacay and ourselves. They kept us informed and went above and beyond looking for him on the surrounding streets. Within an hour, he was found. Dogvacay was also very responsive and proved themselves to be a great service in this emergency. We have no issue whatsoever with leaving Hashi with Shawna and friends again as he looked just as happy to see us upon return as he was to stay there.”
“Jami is very responsive for booking requests. She sends pictures/updates regularly and does a great job engaging with our dog making him nice and tired each day. Would recommend without hesitation.”

“Maria was a perfect sitter for our pup; daily walks, lots of love and patience, photos sent to us daily. We will definitely book with Maria again if we are going to be away. I feel as though I've found a friend and I know our dog shares that view.”

“Kristen was fabulous, and provided a great experience for our first time finding someone to watch our dog on Rover. He really enjoyed his stay, especially being able to meet some new friends and play outside in the yard all day long! She was helpful through the whole process, and will be our first choice again when we need overnight care for our dog.”

“Though it had been a few months since Penn and Lucy last saw Barbara, they knew right away where we were as we arrived. They greeted her happily and settled right in on their favorite dog bed. Barbara is great with Lucy's special needs, and she sends wonderful photos and updates.”

“Erica did an amazing job with my two loving but sometimes challenging knuckleheads… My Husky fell in love with Eric and her daughter and didn’t want to come home!! It felt so great knowing my pups were well cared for and loved! Thanks Erica!!!”

“Brittany did a wonderful job caring for our sweet, anxious dog! She was attentive, flexible and showed great insight into what our Sadie girl needed to feel more comfortable during her first boarding experience. Brittany also shared photos and videos of our dog during her stay, which really helped my husband and I feel reassured she was having a great time and being well cared for. Looking forward to having our dog stay with her again in the future!”

“Suzanne is absolutely wonderful! It was our first time boarding Buu and we were nervous at first but she made us feel so comfortable with plenty of detailed updates and pictures daily! Her dogs are very sweet and made for great playmates. She followed all dietary restrictions and medications we provided; Buu came home very happy and healthy! Would definitely recommend her services!”

“We are so glad we found Roxanne. Our goldendoodle loves to run, romp and play but hates bring kenneled so Roxanne’s home and pack of dogs was perfect for us. Roman gets to play and then sleep in the open room with the other dogs. We picked him up and there was no trace of anxiety which is usually the case when we have boarded him at a traditional kennel. He was happy as can be! Thanks Roxanne!”

“Kendall was so amazing and was very responsive every time I texted. She sent picture updates and went above and beyond for our fur baby. They visited the dog park and even got dog friendly ice cream as a treat! I will definitely be using her again!”

“Laura truly cares about dogs and will take amazing care of your dog. My dog is very timid and scared of most people. She was in great hands with Laura. Laura has a beautiful backyard where your dog can run around or just lay in the sun.”

“Angela was great to work with. We were able to do a meet and greet prior to the stay to make sure all the dogs got along well. Our puppy had a blast and was well taken care of. Would definitely book with Angela again!”

“Tamara and her husband were great! I did a trial overnight stay for my girls just to make sure both the girls and Tamara were comfortable. Will use her for future bookings.”
“As usual, our pup came home calm and happy as can be. Manny always has such a nice time with Ashley, and we love feeling at ease knowing he's being well taken care of. Thank you Ashley + Mom!”

This is our second time using Jami and we can relax because we know Peaches is safe, having lots of play time and lots of attention. Jami makes it easy to drop off and pick up!!! The videos and pictures she sends are one more reason my husband and I are team Jami.

I couldn’t have asked for a better first boarding experience for River! At almost two years old, this was his first time spending two nights away from home, and Kasey made us feel completely comfortable from the start. She was warm, caring, and attentive with River, and it was obvious she truly loves dogs. River came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well looked after. I am incredibly grateful to have found Kasey and would enthusiastically recommend her to anyone looking for wonderful, trustworthy care for their dog!

Tamara was wonderful to our pup. You can tell she really cares about the fur babies. She provided pictures and feedback the entire week. She was also kind enough to do some training with our girl. She learned not to bite while playing. I would definitely use Tamara again 💕

Mersal was terrific. The day I was scheduled to drop off Ramona, we had a minor issue that required a vet visit. This not only delayed our drop-off time but also involved Ramona needing medication while she stayed with Mersal. Mersal took it all in stride, provided ongoing updates along with some very sweet pictures, and Ramona made a new friend with Cora, Mersal's dog. This was the first time that Ramona spent any extended time with another dog and it was clear that she and Cora bonded. I definitely recommend Mersal and I plan to use her again in the future.

Debra and her husband were absolutely amazing with our babies. They treated Bill and Athena like their own. We received frequent updates showing just how at home Bill and Athena were, even sleeping in their bed overnight (which they checked with us first on). It was hard for me to get Bill to leave as he loved being with them so much. We are trying to find more trips to go on just so Bill and Athena can go over to Debra's again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
